Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of the use modeling techniques to ward students’ writingskill on drama text class XI students of SMA Negeri 7 Padang. The research is quantitative research with experiment method. The design of this research is One Group Pretest-Postest Design. The instrument used is performance test. The data of this research is the score of writing skill test result. Data are collected through performance tests. Based on the result of research, the use of modeling techniques affected the writing skill on drama text class XI of student SMA Negeri 7 Padang.Kata kunci: pengaruh, teknik, menulis teks drama

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analisis correlation between comprehension reading skill of exposition text and writing skill of text exposition for students at class X SMAN 7 Padang. The type of this stud was quantitative research with descriptive method and correlation design. Population in this study was students at class X SMAN 7 Padang that enrolled in year of school 2016/2017. Sample in study was determined by application of random sampling technique. Based on study finding, it was concluded that there was a significant correlation between comprehension reading skill of exposition text and writing skill of text exposition for students at class X SMAN 7 Padang with deliberate degree n-1 and confident level of 95%; tcount > ttable (3.58 > 1.68). Therefore, writing skill of text exposition has a correlation with comprehension reading skill of exposition text or student need to comprehend the exposition text to write it.Kata kunci: korelasi, membaca pemahaman, menulis, teks eksposisi

Abstract

This article was written to describe the contribution of reading comprehension skills of exposition texts to the skills of writing exposition of students of class X MAN I Kinali Pasaman Barat. This research type is quantitative research by using descriptive method. The research design used is the correlational contribution of two variables. The population of this study is students of class X MAN I Kinali West Pasaman Regency registered in academic year 2016/2017 with the number of 108 students spread in five classes. The sample in this study amounted to 35 people. Samples were taken using a simple random technique with a precision of 15% using the Taro Yamane formula. The instrument of this research is performance test, that is writing of expository text writing and objective test of reading comprehension text of exposition. The results of this study there are three. First, the skill of writing exposition of the students of class X MAN I Kinali West Pasaman Regency is in more than enough qualification. Second, the reading comprehension skills of expository texts of grade X MAN I Kinali of Pasaman Barat Regency are in more than enough qualification. Third, based on the result of t-test, it can be concluded that reading comprehension skills of exposition texts contribute to the expository writing skill of MAN I Kinali students of Pasaman Barat Regency. Kata kunci: kontribusi, keterampilan, membaca, menulis,  teks eksposisi

Abstract

This research aims to describe relationships between vocabulary mastery of the field of journalistic with writing skills text news the students of class XII SMK Negeri 2 Bukittinggi. The type of this research is quantitative research using descriptive and the statistic correlation methods. Population and sample in this research is the student of the XII vocational high school, two, Bukittinggi. The population in this research is 42 students who are registered in academic year of 2017/2018. The results of research show that the mastery of the vocabulary of the field of journalism really help students in writing the text of the news. From the results of this research can be drawn the conclusion that there is a significant relationship (mean) between mastery of the vocabulary of the field of journalistic text writing skills with the news is significant on the degree of freedom, n-1, and it is significant at 95% of confident level since 10.32 of t-statistic value is greater than 1.68 of t-table value. Kata kunci: hubungan, penguasaan kosakata bidang jurnalistik, keterampilan                      menulis teks berita

Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) to determine the level of skill of writing poetry text of grade VIII of SMP Negeri 31 Padang before using  problem based learning model with audiovisual media. (2) to determine the level of  writing’s skill on poetry text of  grade VIII  of  SMP Negeri 31 Padang after using  problem based learning model with audiovisual media. Abstract

This study aims to: (a) describe social issues that are the focus of author criticism in short stories in the April 2015 Jawapos newspaper. (B) describe the form of social criticism submitted by authors in short stories in Jawapos April 2015. (C) to describe the implications of the Jawapos short story study in the April 2015 edition of Indonesian language learning. The type of this research is qualitative research by using descriptive method of content analysis. The results of this study are social problems contained in the April 2015 edition of Jawapos short stories, namely (1) the problem of poverty (2) the problem of crime (3) the problem of the young generation in modern society (4) religious issues and beliefs (5) Environment (6) family disorganization problem. Furthermore, the form of social criticism submitted by the authors in short stories in Jawapos (April) edition of the Jawapos newspaper, (1) the direct form of criticism (2) the cynical form of criticism (3) the symbolic form of the delivery of criticism (4) the form of humorous criticism 5) the interpretive form of interpretive submission. Abstract

The purpose of this research are (1) to describe writing ability level on exsposition text on the student SMP Negeri 2 Nan Sabaris grade VIII without using mind mapping technique as a base discovery learning model. (2) to describe writing ability on exsposition text on student SMP Negeri 2 Nan Sabaris grade VIII using mind mapping technique as a base discovery learning model in writing exposition text on the student SMP Negeri 2 Nan Sabaris grade VIII. Based on data analysis, mind mapping technique as a base discovery learning model have effect for writing ability level on exposition text on the student SMP Negeri 2 Nan Sabaris.Kata kunci: pengaruh, teknik mind mapping, model Discovery Learning, dan menulis, teks eksposisi
