Abstract

The paper focuses on the description of how character education is effectively developed and implemented. Using qualitative descriptive method, the writer presents efforts for character education in various countries and synrthesizes to formulate a proposed effective character education system. Character education in Indonesia has been the priority and the implentation is mandated to be included in all subject matters through curriculair and extra-curriculair activities. Effective practical implementation must be taken care off. The suggestive development and implementation of the character education include the strenghtenning of being valued people as in ikhsan, being good creatures of Allah as in Iman, and being able to do good deeds and moral action in the community as in Islam. These can be done through academic lessons, habituations, creativity-action and services. Character development is suggested to be internalized in the wholistic education system by developing the whole students ’ potential through various active learnings and habituation.

Abstract

This study reports quality of content validity of items of listening test of National Leaving Exam for SMA in Samarinda is constructed. The quality was identified from task coverage, item difficulty, objective of item, and test format. This study used content analysis with qualitative design. The study revealed that content validity revealed three major findings. Task coverage is dominated by the first and the second year of SMA (8 items are from first year, 8 items are from second year, and 4 items are from third year of SMA). Of 20 items, 9 (45%) are easy, 7 (35%) moderate, 4 (2o%) hard. The questions in the items are specified into 9 (45%) general, 5 (25%) comprehension, 4 (20%) application, and 2 (10%) analysis. The analysis on the Table of Specification reconstructed from the English listening test showed that the test has low content validity.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to select the best sources of auxin of which it can stimulate the growth of shoots Pineapple plant cuttings. This research is compiled in a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The Data were statistically Analyzed by the DMRT. Level of treatment given proves that no treatment 0%, cow urine concentration of 25%, young coconut water concentration of 25% and Rootone F 100 mg / cuttings. The results showed that cow urine concentrations of 25% and Rootone F 100 mg give the best results in stimulating the growth of shoots pineapple stem cuttings. Experimental results concluded that the effect of this natural hormone were better than the shoots without given hormone.

Abstract

This paper describes the importance of the raw materials Inventory supervision for production process. The concepts described in this paper was studied using the descriptive theoretical analysis. It is concluded that (1) Raw Materials Inventory control is highly needed by both small and big companies to take care of the production process stabilization; (2) The production process will find problems when there is no good control of the Inventory. This causes anstable production process effecting finnace of the companies. The long period of materials inventory causes campany loss. On the other hand, small amount of inventory will also cause the production processes stop. Such situation will also influence marketting and the supply to the consumers; (3) Unstable producation process will cause unstable product supply in the market, and (4) To ensure that the consumers ’ needs are continuously completed, control of the raw materials inventory needs to be done and maintained.

Abstract

The woman stands for Java language (wani ditoto) term used for Homo sapiens gender and has reproduction. The opposite sex from the woman is a man or a male. The woman is a word commonly used to describe mature women. Awareness of Indonesian women to work very large, although the country must work out to become migrant workers, this is shown by the increasing number of women migrant workers every year.Based BNP2TKI report in 2013 the number of migrants reached 512 168 people, consisting of 285 197 person formal workers (56 %) and 226 871 informal migrant workers (44 %). Whereas in 2012 migrant workers reached 494 609 people consisting of 258 411 formal sector (52 %) and 236 198 informal migrant workers (48 %). (detik.com). This research using phenomenology approach by deep interview (unstructured) observation non participants and study documentation. The subject in this research is Javanese Indonesian women. The informants of this research are six women workers. The purpose of this research is expected to describe the shift in the concept of Javanese women carry out tasks in abroad, there are Indonesian cultural values implied by the instincts of a typical traditional Javanese woman, though the housemaids are located in other countries.Social identity theory is a theory that was originally engaged in the area of Social Psychology, with the language and its ability to find and understand the meaning, has become a meta - theory that is able to bring together many disciplines such as psychology, anthropology, sociology, history, communications, as implications is that reality is always social, and the social contextual character always in a state of local culture and history.The meaning of something can be very different in cultures or groups of people who are different because in each cultural or community groups have own ways to interpret things. Groups of people who have a background of understanding is not the same to certain cultural codes will not be able to understand the meaning produced by other community groups.Research described that diversity nations woman patriarchy, Javanese culture properties characteristic of java women clearly reflected in life with workers Indonesia (TKW) is different from another country.
