Abstract

This research conducted to evaluate effective length of L beam and T beam (Lef and Tef) to the length of X direction (Lx) and Y direction (Ly). Model of the structure evaluated was space frame portal by using global coordinate X-Y-Z. Analysis of structure use SAP2000 program version 7.40. The first model of structure is three dimension portal with fix relation between beam and column, monolith relation between beam and plate as shell structure. Result of this analysis taken as benchmark data. The second model of structure is three dimension portal with fix relation for each member (beam and column), T beam and L beam use for replacing the combination of beam-plate. Length of space were equal for Lx and Ly 4 to 10 m (increase step by 1 m). Result of this research obtained effective length of T beam (Tef) = 31,5 cm for Lx = Ly = 4 M, and effective length of L beam (Lef) influenced by Lx and Ly. Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of variations in the size of the maximum grain diameter of coarse aggregate on compressive strength of concrete with fas 0.45 by cylindrical test specimen size 15 x 30 cm. Planning mix desing using a modified method of ACI with fas value of 0.45 and the value of the planned 75-100 mm slump. This study includes compressive strength performed at age 7 days and 28 days, treatment is normally carried out with care marinade soaked in the tub for 7 days and 28 days. Compressive strength test results obtained in the test specimen 7 days old premises gravel size is 20.50 Mpa 12.5 mm, 19 mm, 16.99 MPa, 16.76 MPa is 25 mm and 31.5 mm was 14.57 Mpa , while the age at 28 days was 30.51 MPa 12.5 mm, 19 mm, 24.86 MPa, 21.85 MPa is 25 mm and 31.5 mm was 21.66 Mpa. So the smaller the aggregate maximum compressive strength used was obtained by the higher and conversely the greater the maximum aggregate used dihasikan compressive strength lower. keywords: compressive strength, maximum grain diameter

Abstract

The efforts to improve man power quality are the efforts that is done by contractor to improve its work quality. Improving the man power quality principally influences of internal and external factors. The objective of this study is to answer the internal factors that influences project team performance quality in organization structure of contractor project at building construction implementation and to determine the variables that are needed to improve contractor enterprise quality. This research used building construction project which have done in 2010 at Lhokseumawe city, collecting by disseminating Likert questionnaire. Respondents were chosen from contractor elements, those were project managers and field supervisors. This research used descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that the overlapping of job descriptions among division in project organization project, the ability to put workers in project, the ability of adaptation in any changes, the tools and machines condition that are used, and the time realization that appropriates to project schedule that is done, are the dominant sub aspects influenced project performance optimization. The influence of organization aspect, workers aspect, physical environment aspect, tools and technology that are used in project aspect, and team performance quality in contractor project organization aspect towards project performance optimization aspect was 69,6%.Keywords: project performance optimization, team performance quality

Abstract

The function of wall which arranged from brick even from concrete in function as partition could increase strength and durability of frame structure, but actually the contribution of wall in increasing strength and ductility is often ignored. It is happened because of lack of acknowledge of behavior of frame and wall caused of axial loading that consist of cyclic lateral loading as the effect of wind load and earthquake.. In this case study it was aimed to observe the effect of wall confinement at column, beam and wall joint caused of lateral cyclic loading and it implementation on earthquake resistant housing building in Aceh Besar sub district. The strength and ductility increasing on the frame with wall and without wall (Husna, 2008) proofed that there were contribution of the increasing of strength and ductility of frame. Drift ratio of frame with wall without bed joint was 0.74. % and drift ratio of frame with wall and bed joint was 0.84 %.. In the other hand drift ratio of portal without wall was 44.85 %.Key words : strength, ductility, frame, full wall, partial wall, axial cyclic loading

Abstract

This paper discusses the results of the study, conducted to determine the effect of variations in cement content of the waiting time of curing (curing time) after the mixing process with a ground. Soils studied were from Jalan Simpang Loskala Pertamina Lhokseumawe. Portland cement used is the type of Andalas, with mixtures of two kinds of variation is 3% and 5%, a waiting period of 1 day, 3 day and 7 days. Physical properties of the test results, according to AASHTO; land into group A, 2-6, while according to the USCS; the land is included in group SC (sandy clay), visual observation as well, so the soil is sandy silt soil type, so it is non-cohesive and did not have a value of plasticity. Based on laboratory testing showed that the addition of the percentage of cement can increase the bearing capacity of the soil as well as the duration of curing.Keywords: cement content, bearing capacity, duration of curing

Abstract

This research is to know effect of variation of semen water and the temperature toward pressure strength of concrete with a few temperature level that is normal temperature (24oC), 50oC, 75oC, and 100oC. Cemen water factor ( FAS) used 0,45 and 0,55. Test object at this research is selinder of concrete of standard with diameter 15 cm and high 30 cm amount to the this 24 sample. This research evaluate the slump mortar and pressure strength the concrete. Result of examination show that degradation ratio assess the maximum slump for the FAS 0,45 and FAS 0,55 are 80,64 % and 90,33 %. It is happened when concrete mixture with the water temperature is 100oC. Result of research also show that concrete mixture with the normal temperature water (24oC) pressure strength maximum is 33,83 MPa for the FAS 0,45 and 20,80 MPa for the FAS 0,55.Key words: cemen water factor, pressure strength, temperature, degradation ratio, slump

Abstract

Material or base course pavement material consists of aggregate based on the well proportioned so that the density obtained in provides support on the road. This study aims to measure the achievement of the density of base course with a sand cone and nuclear densitometer. Case studies carried out on the road Banda Aceh - Calang along 1 km from sta 76 +510 s / d 77 +650 with the testing interval is 50 m. The results of the sand cone test parameters such as: water content (w) = 6.34%, by weight content of the soil (∂ b) = 2.36 gr/cm3, dry unit weight (∂ d) = 2.25 gr/cm3, Volume holes = 1671.68 gr/cm3 and the degree of density (Dr) = 99.60%, while the nuclear densitometer test results such as: water content (w) = 4.12%, by weight content of the soil (∂ b) = 2.38 gr/cm3, dry unit weight (∂ d) = 2.41 g / cm3, and the degree of density (Dr) = 100.01%. Validation of measurements according to sig. (2-tailed), ie 0546 0050 α, then there is no significant difference in density between the two tools. Results of testing sand cone and nuclear densitometers have 0.4% difference, then both the above test methods can be used. The advantage when using sandcone time it takes relatively longer and cost less, while for the testing of nuclear densitometer test time required faster and more expensive.Keywords: density, sandcone and nuclear densitometer

Abstract

This study aims to analysis of base shear structure from effects of earth quakes. The methods were used to analysis with damage scenarios as follows: THA, CQC, and SRSS. The damage scenarios simulation was obtained by applying reduced stiffness on a bottom column element of frame. The reduced stiffness of column elements with damage scenarios as follows: 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, and 40%. CAL-91 was used for analysis and for obtaining base shear and frequency of structure. More big damage scenarios to apply at element bottom column of frame that reducing value of frequency and base shear of structure. The method THA only stable until damage scenarios 25%, while method CQC and SRSS stable permanent up to damage scenarios 40%.Key words: base shear, damage scenarios, THA, CQC, SRSS
