Abstract

Abstract: Online learning has the effect of decreasing student motivation and learning outcomes in the new normal era at MIS Al Asriyah Langsa. The awkwardness of interacting with teachers and other students results in a lack of motivation to learn optimally. Good response from friends also decreased. In addition, teachers are less optimal in using interesting learning media because of limited time. As a result, they are reluctant to express ideas when required to explain the subject matter. For this reason, this study aims to improve students' motivation and speaking skills with the help of surprise boxes in fifth grade students of MIS Al Asriyah Langsa for the 2020/2021 academic year. This study uses a CAR approach with two cycles. To collect data, the researcher used observation, interviews, and oral tests. The results of the research in the first cycle showed that the students' learning motivation was 56.25% and speaking skills were 31.25%. Learning motivation increased to 75% and students' ability to express ideas became 81.25%. These results indicate an increase in learning motivation as much as 18.75% and an increase in speaking skills by 50%. Thus, it can be concluded that the surprise box media was able to increase the learning motivation and speaking skills of the fifth grade students of MIS Al Asriyah Langsa. Keywords: learning motivation, speaking skill, surprise box  Abstrak: Pembelajaran daring membawa pengaruh menurunnya motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada era new normal di MIS Al Ashriyah Langsa. Kecanggungan berinteraksi dengan guru dan siswa lainnya berakibat kurangnya dorongan untuk belajar dengan optimal. Respon baik dari teman juga menurun. Selain itu, guru kurang maksimal memanfaatkan media pembelajaran yang menarik karena waktu yang terbatas.  Akibatnya, mereka enggan menuangkan gagasan ketika dituntut memaparkan materi pelajaran. Untuk itulah, penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan motivasi dan keterampilan berbicara siswa berbantu kotak kejutan pada siswa kelas V MIS Al Ashriyah Langsa tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan PTK dengan dua siklus. Untuk menarik data, peneliti menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan tes lisan. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I diketahui motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 56,25% dan keterampilan berbicara sebesar 31,25%. Motivasi belajar meningkat menjadi 75% dan kemampuan menuangkan ide siswa menjadi 81,25%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan motivasi belajar sebanyak 18,75% dan peningkatan keterampilan berbicara sebesar 50%. Denagn demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media kotak kejutan mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V MIS Al Ashriyah Langsa. Kata kunci: motivasi belajar, keterampilan berbicara, kotak kejutan

Abstract

Abstract: Mathematics is one of the important subjects to learn because its existence can help humans to solve various problems in everyday life. One of the roles and tasks of educators in order to maximize student learning opportunities is for students to have mathematical problem solving abilities. This is done so that students can solve problems in their lives. For this reason, educators in the process need to consider a learning model that can encourage students to achieve these abilities, namely the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model. The purpose of this study was to describe the extent to which the application of the Creative Problem Solving learning model in improving problem solving abilities. The research method is a literature review by searching for articles from the database. Articles were searched using keywords that had been determined by the researcher, so 19 articles were found to be analyzed. The results of the studies state that the Creative Problem Solving learning model can improve problem solving abilities. Keywords: creative problem solving; problem solving  Abstrak: Matematika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang penting untuk dipelajari karena keberadaannya dapat membantu manusia untuk memecahkan berbagai masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Salah satu peran dan tugas pendidik dalam rangka memaksimalkan kesempatan belajar siswa adalah agar siswa memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Hal tersebut dilakukan agar siswa bisa menyelesaikan permasalahan didalam kehidupannya. Untuk itu, pendidik dalam prosesnya perlu mempertimbangkan model pembelajaran yang dapat mendorong siswa untuk mencapai kemampuan tersebut, yaitu model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan sejauh mana penerapan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Metode penelitian berupa literature review dengan cara mencari artikel dari database. Artikel dicari dengan menggunakan kata kunci yang sudah ditentukan peneliti, sehingga ditemukan 19 artikel untuk dianalisis. Hasil penelitian-penetian menyatakan bahwa model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving dapat meningkatkan kepampuan pemecahan masalah. Kata kunci: creative problem solving; pemecahan masalah

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses improving students' mathematics learning outcomes through the application of the NHT (Number Heads Together) type of cooperative learning model on the number pattern material in class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Kutalimbaru. The problems in this study are that students have not been able to cooperate in learning mathematics, students feel bored and have difficulty when studying mathematics, and students' mathematics learning outcomes are not as expected (still low). This study took the research subjects of class VIII-1 semester I SMP Negeri 3 Kutalimbaru totaling 31 students. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the NHT type cooperative learning model can improve the learning outcomes of the number pattern material in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kutalimbaru. This is evidenced by an increase in the average score of students from cycle I to cycle II. From the average value of learning outcomes in the first cycle, which is 72.16, it increases in the second cycle to 80.52. Judging from the classical learning completeness also experienced an increase, in the first cycle of action the percentage of classical learning completeness was 61.29% increased in the second cycle to 90.22%. Keyword: Number Heads Together; number pattern  Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas tentang meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT (Number Heads Together) pada materi pola bilangan di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kutalimbaru. Permasalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa belum mampu untuk bekerjasama dalam pembelajaran matematika, siswa merasa bosan dan kesulitan ketika mempelajari matematika, dan hasil belajar matematika siswa tidak seperti yang diharapkan (masih rendah). Penelitian ini mengambil subjek penelitian siswa kelas VIII-1 semester I SMP Negeri 3 Kutalimbaru yang berjumlah 31 orang siswa. Berdasarkan hasil peneitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar materi pola bilangan pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kutalimbaru. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II. Dari nilai rata-rata hasil belajar pada siklus I yaitu sebesar 72,16 meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 80,52. Dilihat dari ketuntasan belajar klasikal juga mengalami peningkatan, pada tindakan siklus I yaitu persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 61,29% meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 90,22%. Kata kunci: Number Heads Together; pola bilangan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the sports pattern of the State University of Surabaya before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The sample in this study was the students of the Faculty of Sports Science Unesa class of 2018 and 2019 totaling 200 students. The questionnaire used in this study is a questionnaire that has been calculated and passed the test of the value of its validity and reliability using SPPS version 23. The results in this study indicate that the data is homogeneously distributed but not normal, then the Wilcoxon nonparametric test is then carried out to test the hypothesis. The results of the nonparametric Wilcoxon test showed that there was a significant difference in the physical activity pattern of the Surabaya State University Sports Science students before and during the Covid-19 pandemic with a P value of < 0.05. The conclusions obtained in this study are that the physical activity patterns of Sports Science students at the State University of Surabaya before and during the Covid-19 pandemic were different, and during the Covid-19 pandemic the pattern of physical activity decreased when compared to before the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to determine the ability of students 'mathematical disposition through learning STAD models, to find out the increase in the ability of mathematical disposition through learning STAD models, and to assess whether increasing the ability of mathematical disposition of students through learning STAD models is better than increasing the ability of students' mathematical disposition through conventional learning and to find out students' responses to STAD learning models. This research uses a quantitative approach in the form of quasi experimental research. The experimental design used is the type of Nonequivalent control group design. The design is used to determine the ability of students' mathematical disposition before and after being given the STAD model. Increasing students' mathematical disposition abilities using STAD learning models obtained a percentage increase of 12%. The control class with a total of 31 student scores before treatment was 89.77 and after treatment was 97.26 with an average score difference of 7.49. Increasing the ability of mathematical disposition that uses conventional learning has a percentage increase of 8%. This shows that the mathematical disposition ability of the experimental class students is higher than the control class.Keywords: STAD, mathematical disposition, Nonequivalent control group design AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan disposisi matematika siswa melalui pembelajaran model STAD, untuk mengetahui besar peningkatan kemampuan disposisi matematika melalui pembelajaran model STAD, dan untuk mengkaji apakah peningkatan kemampuan disposisi matematika siswa melalui pembelajaran model STAD lebih baik dari pada peningkatan kemampuan disposisi matematika siswa melalui pembelajaran konvensional dan untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran model STAD. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang berupa penelitian eksperimen kuasi. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan yaitu jenis Nonequivalent control group design. Desain tersebut digunakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan disposisi matematika siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan model STAD. Peningkatan kemampuan disposisi matematika siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran model STAD didapat prosentase peningkatan sebesar 12%. Kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 31 siswa skor sebelum treatment adalah 89,77 dan sesudah treatment adalah 97,26 dengan selisih skor rata-rata sebesar 7,49. Peningkatan kemampuan disposisi matematika yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional memiliki prosentase peningkatan sebesar 8%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan disposisi matematika siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol.Kata kunci: STAD, disposisi matematika, Nonequivalent control group design

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the relationship between basic mathematical abilities and statistical learning outcomes. This study is an explanatory researchs with quantitative correlational research method. The subjects in this study were fifth semester students of the D3 Corporate Management study program, while the objects in this study were students' basic mathematical abilities which included algebra, calculus, and probability and student statistics learning outcomes. The data was collected using a basic mathematical ability test instrument consisting of a test of algebra, calculus and probability material as well as a test of statistical learning outcomes. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. Inferential statistical testing using multiple linear regression test. Based on the results of data analysis, there is a positive relationship between basic mathematical abilities (algebra, calculus, and probability) on student statistics learning outcomes.
