Abstract

This research discussed the importance of teacher creativity in shaping children's character through socio-emotional learning at the Elementary School / Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level. This research aimed to emphasize teachers' role in helping develop children's social and emotional skills through collaborative learning and moral teaching in schools. The research location was at MI Nurul Ulum Bantul Yogyakarta. This research used a qualitative approach with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The research results showed that teacher creativity in forming children's character through socio-emotional learning at MI Nurul Ulum was 1) generating motivation to learn with technology, 2) making the material relevant to everyday life, 3) presenting an interesting impression when learning, 4) making teachers as a role model for children, 5) creating a communicative learning atmosphere, and 6) understanding children's moods when learning.

Abstract

Abstract: Online learning has the effect of decreasing student motivation and learning outcomes in the new normal era at MIS Al Asriyah Langsa. The awkwardness of interacting with teachers and other students results in a lack of motivation to learn optimally. Good response from friends also decreased. In addition, teachers are less optimal in using interesting learning media because of limited time. As a result, they are reluctant to express ideas when required to explain the subject matter. For this reason, this study aims to improve students' motivation and speaking skills with the help of surprise boxes in fifth grade students of MIS Al Asriyah Langsa for the 2020/2021 academic year. This study uses a CAR approach with two cycles. To collect data, the researcher used observation, interviews, and oral tests. The results of the research in the first cycle showed that the students' learning motivation was 56.25% and speaking skills were 31.25%. Learning motivation increased to 75% and students' ability to express ideas became 81.25%. These results indicate an increase in learning motivation as much as 18.75% and an increase in speaking skills by 50%. Thus, it can be concluded that the surprise box media was able to increase the learning motivation and speaking skills of the fifth grade students of MIS Al Asriyah Langsa. Keywords: learning motivation, speaking skill, surprise box  Abstrak: Pembelajaran daring membawa pengaruh menurunnya motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada era new normal di MIS Al Ashriyah Langsa. Kecanggungan berinteraksi dengan guru dan siswa lainnya berakibat kurangnya dorongan untuk belajar dengan optimal. Respon baik dari teman juga menurun. Selain itu, guru kurang maksimal memanfaatkan media pembelajaran yang menarik karena waktu yang terbatas.  Akibatnya, mereka enggan menuangkan gagasan ketika dituntut memaparkan materi pelajaran. Untuk itulah, penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan motivasi dan keterampilan berbicara siswa berbantu kotak kejutan pada siswa kelas V MIS Al Ashriyah Langsa tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan PTK dengan dua siklus. Untuk menarik data, peneliti menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan tes lisan. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I diketahui motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 56,25% dan keterampilan berbicara sebesar 31,25%. Motivasi belajar meningkat menjadi 75% dan kemampuan menuangkan ide siswa menjadi 81,25%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan motivasi belajar sebanyak 18,75% dan peningkatan keterampilan berbicara sebesar 50%. Denagn demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media kotak kejutan mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V MIS Al Ashriyah Langsa. Kata kunci: motivasi belajar, keterampilan berbicara, kotak kejutan

Abstract

Presentation skills are one of the important skills for PGMI students at IAIN Langsa, especially in the Research Methodology course. This study aims to analyze the presentation skills of students of the PGMI study program at the State Islamic Institute of Langsa in the Research Methodology course. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a sample of 50 students in the 4th semester of the PGMI study program at IAIN Langsa. Data collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires to determine the factors that influence the presentation skills of PGMI students IAIN Langsa, as well as documentation of assessments from lecturers of research methodology courses. The results showed that in general, the presentation skills of PGMI IAIN Langsa students are in the low category and must be improved again. Factors causing presentation skills such as self-confidence, mastery of material, and communication skills as well as anxiety and fear of negative judgment are things that have a significant effect on low presentation skills. The conclusion of this study is the need to improve student presentation skills that can be done with efforts such as public speaking training to increase self-confidence, seeking opportunities to speak in any activity, preparing themselves and materials for presentations and improving material delivery skills with the use of visual aids media can improve their presentation skills and be ready to face academic and professional challenges in the future.Keywords: Presentation Skills, PGMI IAIN Langsa Students, Research Methodology

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of inclusive education for children with special needs, determine the supporting factors and obstacles in implementing inclusive education programs and to determine the perceptions of school principals and teachers regarding the implementation of inclusive education for children with special needs at SD Negeri 5 Langsa in the 2023 academic year. /2024. This research uses qualitative descriptive method, the subjects of this research are the principal, class teacher and ABK students in class IV it’s good. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research obtained the following results: (1) The process of implementing inclusive education for children with special needs at SD Negeri 5 Langsa class IVa has been implemented well by the class teachers, although it has not been carried out perfectly and still needs to be carried out further evaluation. (2) The supporting factor in implementing inclusive education in this school is that the teachers at SD Negeri 5 Langsa have previously been equipped with knowledge about inclusive education through conducted by the education office, support from parents and regular students who can receive it. differences, while the inhibiting factors are the unavailability of special accompanying teachers, and the teacher`s lack of understanding regarding the delivery of certain material. (3) The views of teachers and school principals regarding inclusive education implemented in elementary schools are very good. Teachers and school principals really appreciate the regulations that have been because inclusive education really helps students with special needs get the same services aksis students in general.
