Abstract

The mathematical communication ability of students in solving online learning problems with triangle area is one of the problems that are discussed in this study. This research was conducted to find out how the application of a problem based approach  to mathematical communication skills in triangle area material. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, through this method the researcher tries to describe the situation and process in learning activities. The subjects in this study were fourth grade students of SD Negeri Jaya Giri in the city of Ngamprah. From the results of the study that fourth grade students were happy with online learning of triangle area material using a problem based  approach , besides that students and teachers showed positive responses to online learning of triangle area material using a problem based approach , but still found students who have difficulty in solving online learning problems with triangle area material on mathematical communication indicators make conjectures, develop arguments, formulate definitions, and generalize. From this discussion, it can be concluded that the mathematical communication ability of triangle material on the indicators of mathematical communication to make conjectures, construct arguments, formulate definitions, and generalizations is low and needs to be given routine practice questions so that students are accustomed to solving difficult questions.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students' low interest in learning so that learning activities were not optimal. The stimulus given for implementing learning activities is still not appropriate, as can be seen from the low enthusiasm and active participation of students. So, based on these problems, the author attempts to use the traditional dragon snake game with the aim of finding out the effect of implementing the traditional dragon snake game in increasing students' interest in learning about various Indonesian cultural materials in elementary schools. The research method used is pre-experimental design in the form of a one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques in this research include questionnaires, observation and documentation. The results of students' learning interest before being given treatment at the pretest were an average score of 59.00, while after being given treatment at the posttest the average score was 72.88. Based on this analysis, it shows a significant increase. Next, hypothesis testing is based on the results of the N-Gain increase data with a value of 0.66 which is included in the medium category. Then a t-test was carried out which gave a significance value of 0.000 which was less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), so the hypothesis was accepted. So it can be concluded that students' interest in learning by using the traditional dragon snake game on various Indonesian cultural materials has increased with better results.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menjawab soal uraian IPAS menjadi akar penyebab topik penelitian ini. Temuan pra-penelitian dari wawancara dengan guru kelas V SD 3 Klaling mengungkapkan bahwa siswa cenderung pasif saat kegiatan belajar mengajar. Hal ini juga terlihat pada hasil pengerjaan soal studi pendahuluan saat pembelajaran hal ini tergolong kurang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah model Teams Game Tournament (TGT) dengan media Electric and Ladder berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan seberapa besar pengaruh hasil kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V pada materi IPAS di SD 3 Klaling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif pre-eksperimen dengan jenis one grup pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini menggunakan subjek seluruh kelas V SD 3 Klaling yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, test (pretest dan posttest), dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data berupa uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji linieritas regresi, dan uji analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V SD 3 Klaling sebelum dan sesudah diterapkanya model TGT dengan media permainan electric and ladder. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan skor rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dari 56,08 (pretest) menjadi 66,15 (posttest). Selain itu, melalui hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t parsial dalam regresi linier sederhana, yang menghasilkan nilai signifikasi 0,000 < 0,05 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,373 atau 37,3%. Hal ini membuktikan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara penerapan model TGT dengan media electric and ladder terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Kata Kunci : Model TGT, Media Permainan electric and ladder, dan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa.
