Abstract

During pregnancy, the fetal heart rate is a picture of the well-being of the fetus in the womb. The mother's position affects the results of the assessment when taking measurements of the fetal heart rate. The purpose of this study is to determine the accuracy of the measurement of fetal well-being based on the position of pregnant women. This type of research is analytic observational in Wajo Health Center, Katobengke Health Center, and Sulaa Health Center, from April - August 2019. The population in this study were all pregnant women registered in the KIA book. The research sample consisted of 60 respondents using inclusion criteria. The data analysis uses univariate analysis. The results showed there were differences in the value of the fetal heart rate measurements for each position. The average value (min-max) of DJJ measurement with the lying position (supine) 128-158 times per-minute, mean value 138.81 times per-minute; sitting position 124-158 times per-minute, mean value 143.41 times per-minute; standing position 126-159 times per-minute, mean value 145.58 times per minute. In a sitting and lying position, the resulting heart rate is in the normal range of 120-140 times per-minute; in a standing position, the heart rate obtained 150-160 times per-minute has the potential for tachycardia. The conclusion of this study is that the position of pregnant women affects the results of fetal heart rate measurement and the good position of the FHR measurement when lying on her back

Abstract

Anemia during pregnancy is one of the most common disorders in pregnant women in Indonesia. Rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is considered able to increase the hemoglobin levels in pregnant mothers. To analyze the effect of Rosella flower on the increase of Hemoglobin level in pregnant women receiving Fe tablet. This study was a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. 32 participants were selected using accidental sampling, which assigned in the experiment and control group. All samples were pregnant women in the third trimester and receiving iron tablets. Independent t-test and paired t-test were used for data analysis. The result indicated that there was an increase in hemoglobin levels in both the experiment and the control group. The mean increase of hemoglobin levels in the control group was 0.59gr and in the experiment group was 1.11. The hemoglobin levels in the experiment group were higher than the levels in the control group. Independent t-test obtained a p-value of 0.241 indicating that there wasn’t a significant mean difference of hemoglobin levels between the control group and the treatment group. The consumption of rosella combined with Fe tablet showed a significant increase of hemoglobin levels compared to pregnant women. Therefore, it is suggested for midwives to use the result of this research as evidence-practice through counseling for pregnant mothers about the utilization of rosella that can increase hemoglobin levels in pregnant.

Abstract

Breastfeeding is a physiological process to provide optimal nutrition for babies and one of the first steps for humans to have a healthy and prosperous life. The low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding is still a big problem for the State of Indonesia. There are several ways that can be done to increase exclusive breastfeeding, one of which is health education. The use of video as a means of education is now starting to be developed in line with current technological advances. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of exclusive breastfeeding counseling with audio visual on the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women in the work area of Singgani Health Center. This research is a pre-experimental study with the design of one group pretest-posttest. The number of samples is 33 respondents. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The analysis used in this study was the Wilcoxon test. The results of the univariate analysis of data on pretest knowledge with good categories were 24 people (72.7%) and the poor categories were 9 people (27.3%) Knowledge of posttest with good categories as many as 21 people (63.6%) were less than 12 people (36.4%). The pretest attitude in the good category was 16 people (48.4%), the poor category was 17 people (51.6%). The posttest attitude in the good category was 21 people (63.6%) in the poor category of 12 people (36.4%). The results of the bivariate analysis of the knowledge of the pretest posttest knowledge (p-value 0.002). The posttest pretest attitude (p-value 0.363. The conclusion shows that there is the influence of exclusive breastfeeding counseling with video media on the knowledge of pregnant women in the Singgani Health. There is no effect of exclusive breastfeeding counseling with audio visual on the attitudes of pregnant women in the Singgani Health Center. The suggestion is that midwives are expected to further increase the use of increasingly developing technology, one of which is the use of audio visual to provide counseling

Abstract

Preeclampsia is one of the direct causes of maternal death, the incidence of preeclampsia initially does not provide symptoms and signs, but at one time it can deteriorate rapidly, so it needs a series of examinations, detection, and identification of risk factors and controls so that it is possible to do complex primary prevention. This disease is closely related to the factors of age, parity and history of hypertension, so the alertness of pregnant women and their families in early detection of complications of pregnancy plays an important role. This study aims to determine the effect of health education about pre-eclampsia on knowledge, attitudes, and preparation for coping with labor complications in pregnant women in the health center of Tapos Depok sub-district in 2017. This study was a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test and posttest design. The sample in this study were pregnant women who examined their pregnancies at the Tapos Sub-District Health Center at the time of data collection as many as 60 respondents who were divided into two groups and taken by accidental sampling. Respondents were divided into 2 groups, namely those who were given health education with leaflet and multimedia media. Data analysis was done by univariate and bivariate with Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney tests. The results showed that there was an effect of health education about pre-eclampsia on the increase in knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women, but did not affect the preparation of pregnant women in preparation for complications of labor. Health education using multimedia is more able to increase respondents' knowledge and attitudes about pre-eclampsia compared to health education with leaflet media

Abstract

Basic Health Research in 2013 recorded the prevalence of Chronic Energy Deficiency (SEZ) in pregnant women nationally reaching 24.2 percent, an increase from 2010 (18.8 %%) and 2007 (10.9%). The prevalence of SEZs in Central Sulawesi Province in 2013 was 32.6%, higher than the national average. Nutritional status monitoring in Central Sulawesi Province reported a prevalence of KEK Risk in pregnant women in 2015 of 32.6%. Districts with the highest prevalence were consecutively in Banggai Kepulauan District (67.8%), Tojo Una-Una District (51.9%), Sigi District (46.4%), Donggala District (36.7%), and Palu City (35.4%). Midwives in providing services to the community, especially pregnant women, always strive to prepare pregnant women since the first contact during prenatal care provides counseling or education to every pregnant mother about nutritional needs during pregnancy. This study aims to determine the role of midwives education in preventing SEZ in pregnant women in Central Sulawesi Province. Observational research with a study design crossectional. Sampling using the proportional random sampling technique with a total sample of 98 midwives in the working area of 4 selected districts, namely Banggai Islands District (15 samples), Sigi District (18 samples), Donggala District (25 samples) and Palu City (40 samples). The results of the study showed that the midwives who carried out the role of education to pregnant women in their regions mostly did not have the incidence of pregnant women with SEZ (83.1%). The results of the analysis Chi-Square obtained a p-Value value of 0.041, which means that there is a relationship between the role of midwife education and prevention of SEZ events in pregnant.

Abstract

Early Initiation of Breastfeeding can prevent infant mortality, especially in developing countries. IMD practices can prevent 22% of newborn mortality. One of the reasons mothers do not give IMD is the absence of breast milk and the amount of breast milk that is considered lacking, so the mother gives formula milk. Mothers don't take care of joining because they don't breathe spontaneously and hypothermia. The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship of early breastfeeding initiation and care to join with the production of breast milk at post partum at the Anutapura General Hospital in Palu. The method is analytic with a cross sectional approach. The population and samples in this study were post partum at Anutapura Palu Hospital at the time of the study, which amounted to 96 people, with a purposive sampling technique. The analysis used in this study used fisher exact statistical tests. The results showed that of 96 IMD respondents as many as 75 respondents (78.1%), and not IMD as many as 21 respondents (21.9). Mothers who did join care were 76 respondents (79.2%), and mothers who did not take care of as many as 20 respondents (20.8). "Fisher's exact test" test results p value: 0,000 (p value ≤ 0.05). Adequate ASI production was 77 respondents (80.2%), and inadequate ASI production was 19 respondents (19.8). Fisher's exact test results p value: 0,000 (p value ≤ 0,05). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between early breastfeeding initiation and admission to joining breast milk production at post partum. Suggestions are expected for midwives at Anutapura Hospital in Palu City to further improve counseling about the importance of Early Breastfeeding Initiation and the importance of nursing care for mothers and babies.
