Abstract

Basic literacy habituation through reading activities for SD IT El-Fatah students is a service program that aims to empower the community of SD IT El-Fatah through basic reading literacy activities. The main target in this program is grade III students. The series of service activities start from the planning stage to identify the needs and strengths of students and schools. The results show that reading facilities and infrastructure in schools are not adequate and students' reading interest is still low, so plans are made to create a reading corner and a reading literacy habituation program. The implementation stage is the actualization of the plan to produce a reading corner equipped with a collection of children's story books, followed by the application of basic literacy habits through reading to third-grade students. The results of the implementation of basic literacy habituation are written on reading cards and analyzed for evaluation. Based on the results of habituation of basic literacy reading, it is known that 1) the existence of a reading corner and habituation of basic literacy reading received a positive response from students; 2) students experienced an increase in reading interest as seen from the increase in the number of pages read per day; 3) the diversity in students' reading skills can be seen from the different average number of pages that students can read per day; 4) the existence of a reading corner and a basic literacy habituation program are factors that can influence students' reading interest in terms of environmental factors and facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to explore why homosexual and lesbian households can survive as couples' households in general. The research method in this study is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The data in this study were collected using in-depth interview techniques. The data sources in this study are primary data sources taken from homosexual and lesbian families. This study found that there are two factors that cause homosexual and lesbian families to survive. First, the presence of children in a homosexual family becomes a mediation that can reduce both partners, even though the husband or wife already knows that homosexuality and lesbianism are deviant acts. Second, economic dependence, such as doubts about the establishment of life, is also a factor in the survival of homosexual and lesbian households. This study concludes that although homosexuals and lesbians are deviant behaviors, there are conditions and factors that cause homo and lesbi families to persist.

Abstract

The number of informants in this study were 10 people consisting of 6 buyers and 4 sellers. The results of this study were during the covid-19 pandemic and the implementation of the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB), the traditional markets of Sawahlunto were significantly affected. The impact of PSBB was especially felt by traders of cloth, clothing, crockery, shoes, photocopying, and electronics stores. Abstract

The general statement is that minority groups have always been discriminated against by the majority, plus Laos itself carries out communism as the state ideology. In general, the discourse on the equality of communists with atheists is quite popular in the community. Not only labeled as having no religion, a state labeled as communist is synonymous with not supporting the existence of an ethnicity or a religious community. This article aims to explain the history and life of Muslim groups in Laos as a minority community group. This research is a historical research, where in collecting data sources using literature study techniques, and data analysis using a political history approach. The results of the study show that Laos, which is geographically located in the middle of mainland Indochina, makes it a crossroads of culture and religion. The political turmoil in the Indochina region and the civil war in Laos had an impact on the number of Laos' Muslim population. Pathet Lao's victory over the civil war resulted in an authoritarian communist government, causing the Muslim population to shrink. The 1991 Lao Constitution amendment in 2003 brought a breath of fresh air with religious freedom to the Lao people. Although there are still problems with human and financial resources in developing the community and da'wah, Laotian Muslims live quietly in a communist country. Islam in Laos is developing slowly but quietly within its limitations.
