Abstract

In this paper, we present the doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) model in a wind turbine system as a unit of the distributed generator. The wind turbine driven by doubly-fed induction machine is a part of the distributed generation which feeds ac power to the distribution network. The system is modeled and simulated in the Matlab Simulink environment in such a way that it can be suited for modeling of all types of induction generator configurations. The model makes use of rotor reference frame using a dynamic vector approach for machine model. The fuzzy logic controller is applied to the rotor side converter for active power control and voltage regulation of wind turbine. Wind turbine and its control unit are described in details. All power system components and the fuzzy controller are simulated in Matlab Simulink software. For studying the performance of the controller, different abnormal conditions are applied even the worst case. Simulation results prove the excellent performance of the fuzzy controller unit as improving power quality and stability of the wind turbine.

Abstract

Evaluation Board Microcontroller 89S51 / 89S82 / 89S53 (PEM-51) is a tool used to support microcontroller subject learning with an interactive methodology. PEM-51 consists of input / output modules that are integrated in one PCB board. The modules consist of a switch input, keypad module, LED module, seven segment display module, LCD display module, ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) module, DAC (Digital to Analog Conver) module, Stepper motor module. The software used in this tool is C using the Keil µVision4 compiler. The interactive learning process can be done by making a simulation circuit using Proteus software before implementing it to a microcontroller. With PEM-51, it is expected to increase student competency in studying Microcontroller courses.

Abstract

Abnormality Detection on CCTV video images that are shown on a particular individual or a particular object where the movement is captured by a minority. The use of KLT Algorithm (Kanade-Lucas-Tomasi) as Algortima Tracing results of a video that has been done Residual Spectral process that aims to produce a global movement that allocates an interesting area. From the comparison results it is known that the number of pixels in the detection move smaller than the detection is not moving. Then the result is that, the abnormal minority is that there is an object moving on its own compared to the other objects

Abstract

The development of technology and industry has also affected the level of pollution. Side effects that are very influential on human health include the level of noise that comes out of the exhaust gas (exhaust). Sound pollution comes from either gasoline-fueled or diesel-fueled engine vehicles, especially in diesel engines. To reduce noise levels there are several ways that can be done; (1) Giving a silencer to the engine, (2) Designing a muffler on the exhaust gas line, (3) Placing the sound source in the correct position, and (4) Setting the engine operation and maintenance schedule. One way to reduce the noise level in a diesel engine is to trap a particulate trap installed in the exhaust gas (exhaust). This method can reduce the gas particles from combustion to the disposal process, so that the noise level can be reduced. The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the installation of particulate trap made of brass metal in the exhaust of a diesel engine to the level of noise caused. This study uses a factorial type random design by varying the weight of the active ingredient of metal particulate trap 200gr, 300gr, 400g at engine speed between 900-1700rpm. The results of this study indicate that the lowest noise level is obtained from a 300 gr particulate trap ranging from 79.3 dB - 79.4 dB.

Abstract

An aquatic industry needs a good fluid flow measurement control system. Determination of the quantity of water is reduced because the volume of water in the holding tank varies. The effort to overcome this problem is made a system of performance regulation of water flow based on the volume of tanks with PID controls based on Imperalis Competitive Algorithm (ICA). This system uses ICA as a PID controller controller on a mini computer, flow sensor as a water speed detector, electric ball valve as an actuator. The working principle of this tool is to stabilize the output water speed per minute at a predetermined set point. This study compares 3 models; without control, PID control, PID Ziegler Nichols control, and PID controlled ICA controls. The simulation results in the study showed that the best control design in the study was the PID-ICA with the smallest overshot water level of 0.0154 pu, the smallest undershot water level of 0.0134 pu, the smallest overshot flow of 0.0102 pu, and the smallest undershot of 0.0097 pu.

Abstract

The configuration of radial distribution networks is very diverse and difficult to simplify. Reconfiguration of the distribution network is used to reset the network configuration form by opening and closing switches found on the distribution network. Reconfiguration of the distribution network is needed to reduce power losses and improve system reliability. The number of feeders and buses on the network requires a very long time if calculated manually. Because of that, it is necessary to solve problems using artificial intelligence or AI. Firefly Algorithms (FA) are widely used in research to solve optimization problems. Modified Firefly Algorithms (MFA) is an FA modification designed to solve optimization problems in a discrete combination. MFA can find the best network reconfiguration so that it can reduce losses and improve the voltage at the end point of this method can later use other artificial intelligence or can be applied to other feeders, so as to reduce electrical energy losses.
