Abstract

Language is an arbitrary sound symbol system that used for communication/interaction. Language is used as a communication tools in the political election. Political expression in the community of Jatibatur Village, contain signs that refers to certain things. The purpose of this study is to know: 1) political disclosure used people in Jatibatur Village, Gemolong Sub-district, and 2) the meaning of political disclosure used in Jatibatur Village, Gemolong Sub-district. The research method used in this research using an interview technique, see, and note. This study is a desriptive qualitative research. The data analysis technique in this study is using the analysys of the sign by Charles Sanders Pierce.  The result of this study are; 1) the existence of a Java lexicon, “abang” refers to PDI  perjuangan party, 2) the existence of a Java lexicon “wit ringin” refers to Golkar’s party in Indonesian, 3) the lexicon of a “wong cilik” in Java language especially in political, is refers to a poor people ora middle or lower class of people, 4) “ojo pedhot oyot” a tagline from PDI Perjuangan party in Centra Java, means to continuewhat was been fought, and 5) “caleg kae dekengane akeh” had a meaning that he had a strong protection.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the inner and physical structure of the poem "Fajr: Time Celebrated by Chicken crowing" by Ahmad Nasrullah using structural studies. This poem is thick with social, moral, and religious values that need to be understood and implemented in everyday life. The method used in this study uses descriptive qualitative. The data source used is every diction which contains structural and mental elements and physical poem "Dawn: Time Celebrated Chicken crowing". Data collection techniques used are library studies with interactive analysis techniques,  which include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the analysis of the poem entitled "Fajr: Time Celebrated by Chicken crowing" it was found that the inner element was the theme of excess dawn time. The poet is concerned about those who do not take advantage of the dawn, while the message is to make good use of the dawn time. Then, the physical element of the poem is the choice diction which is to make good use of the dawn time. Then, the physical element of the poem is the choice diction which is able to tag the reader. The imagery contained in the poem is the image of motion, temperature, vision, while the majes found are personification and hyperbole with rhythm and rhythm in the form of internal sound patterns that are elements of repetition and equality of sound, be it consonants or vowels. In addition, the typography used is modern poetry.

Abstract

Conflict is something that cannot be avoided in social life. With the conflict, the community will be more intelligent in dealing with life and life. That is what is seen in the Drupadi novel by Seno Gumira Ajidarma. Seno Gumira Ajidarma manifests social conflict by using the uniqueness of abstract language. Social conflict is portrayed by Seno Gumira Ajidarma by asserting something with others so that the social conflict that is portrayed becomes more interesting, because it is very different in its delivery with other works. Based on then this study aims to describe the forms of social conflict and  the causes of social conflict. This type of research is qualitative using the method of analysis description to explain the results of the study. The data collection technique used is descriptive literature study. The results showed that the forms and causes of social conflict were found in the form of (1) Gender conflict caused by social change, (2) Inter-group conflict caused by individual differences, (3) Conflict of interest caused by conflict of interests both in terms of economic or political, (4) Interpersonal conflicts caused by individual differences, (5) Conflicts between Social Classes, (6) Conflicts between countries / nations caused by conflicts of interests both economically or politically.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student confidence and speaking skills in the BIPA University PGRI Semarang class through video making projects. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data were provided by interview, observation, and documentation. The data analyzed is carried out by collecting data, coding data, comparing data, constructing interpretations, and reporting results.  In addition, to overcome students 'problems, several attempts were made to increase students' confidence and speaking ability before making videos, such as doing role plays and simulations in class. After that, the students practice their speaking skills in real situations. The first cycle is making a video project around the City of Semarang, while the second cycle is carried out in the City of Magelang. This research data is presented by formal and informal methods. The results of the data analysis showed that the video making project was able to 1) significantly increase the student confidence and pronunciation; 2) improve the students' Indonesian language skills, especially fluency, vocabulary, and accuracy in grammar; and 3) increase their motivation and enthusiasm that encourage them to learn Indonesian in BIPA classes well.

Abstract

The background of the research is the importance for the students to have master of ceremony skill. Therefore, appropriate alternative learning concept needs to be formulated to help the students to optimize the skill to be a master of ceremony. This study aims to describe Youtube as an alternative learning. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques using literature study and observation. The instruments used were data cards and observation guidelines that had been validated by experts. The study was conducted in 2019 with informants of Indonesian Language Education Study Program students at the University of PGRI Semarang who took the Speaking Course. Data validity uses the triangulation of data sources. The data collected was analyzed using stages: classification, analysis, and drawing conclusions. The  results showed that Youtube can be used as a source of learning, learning media, and a means of disciplining learning products. With the right form of utilization, Youtube can minimize various obstacles, including limited time for practice, students' oral language skills, and knowledge possessed by students.
