Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze “ECPAT’s Communication Strategies In Establishing Partnerships With The Private Sector In The National Tourism Industry To Combat Child Sex Tourism”. The problem formulation in this research is how ECPAT’s communication strategies in establishing partnerships with the private sector in the national tourism industry to combat child sex tourism. The research method that used in this research is descriptive qualitative approaching method. Data collection were obtained through in-depth interviews with program manager of ECPAT Indonesia, also as non-participant observator in the secretariat of ECPAT Indonesia and by collecting of documentary data that supported the research. The theory that used in this research is Advocacy Communication model from the Hopkins University for Communication Programs (CCP), USA. The research result showed that ECPAT Indonesia collaborated with several partners, including PHRI (Persatuan Hotel Indonesia), ASPPI (Asosiasi Pelaku Pariwisata Indonesia), Taxi Putra as transportation services, PT Angkasa Pura II and Accor Group Hotel. The collaboration was built using Advocacy Communication model from the John Hopkin, especially in mobilization and action stages, by forming the “ Down To Zero” program with coalition partners.

Abstract

Social media is interactive allowing the user to consume, create content independently and distribute it in the network. With this trait, social media is utilized by personals or institutions as a means of promotion. Online media portal, Inilah.com, one of the institutions that utilizes social media to promote its news content to the public. To find out how Inilah.com work procedures in the management of redaction in the newsroom until the utilization of social media as a means of promotion that requires communication management of two different related departments, be the goal at the same time the object of this research. Qualitative descriptive method with case studies approach in this research to give description of a systematic process implementation of management redaction and communications at Inilah.com. The pattern process at Inilah.com can be one of references for other online media in running operation of online news portal. The subject of this research is the employees in the editorial (newsroom) where newsroom team produces contents and, information technology department where social media team executes content promotion. By looking at the theories of management, it can be a conclusion that Inilah.com apply the principles of management of redaction and communications in simple scale but modified in execution level to suit the company’s condition for effectiveness of the company's operations

Abstract

Almost all countries are trying to launch tourism as a source of foreign exchange earners for their countries. Many efforts have been made to increase the number of tourists visiting. One of the tourist destinations that once entered the 7 (seven) wonders of the world is Taj-Mahal. The palace was made for 22 years by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his empress. With such conditions, India is one of the tourist destinations that are worth visiting. In addition to the king's palace, India has a different culture from Indonesia. Meanwhile, along with the development of communication technology, the number of YouTube content containing documentation about culture is increasing. YouTube viewers are also increasing in number dayly. One YouTube video of documentation of Indian culture, is entitled Rape is consensual: Inside Haryana’s Rape Culture, which will be an instrument as a treatment to see if there is a difference in interest in visiting India before and after watching the YouTube video. This study uses quantitative research methods by distributing questionnaires to 58 Mercu Buana University students who were selected purposively. That study aims to find out whether there are differences in interests between before and after watching YouTube content. The results showed that even though there was a decrease in the mean value from 12.121 (before treatment) to 10.345 (after treatment), the calculation of the t value calculated was 5.092 while the t-table value for the two-tailed test (Two Tail) was 2.002. The t value calculated is greater than the t-table value, so it can be concluded that there is no difference in traveling interest to India before and after watching the YouTube video.

Abstract

Women's self-disclosure in the family is very important, especially as a working woman or a career woman. Self-disclosure within the family is one factor to foster interpersonal communication skills. If the self-disclosure in the family is not done well then there will be misunderstandings. The purpose of this study is to gain knowledge about the meaning of self-disclosure of women in family careers at Budi Luhur University. This study uses interpersonal communication and media theory, the theory of symbolic interactionism, self-disclosure, family communication, and the dual role of a career woman. The method used is qualitative with case study approach, because this research emphasizes on the cases of communication that is happening in the life of society, especially about self-disclosure is a form of message and communication competence with the aim to minimize misunderstandings between communicators and communicants. From the results of this study found that: Interpersonal communication is a career woman to reveal more about his identity. While the self-disclosure of a career woman with her husband about the depth of information and situations or emotional feelings while in the office. The meaning of the family according to a woman's career at Budi Luhur University is the balance, the constant development of husband-wife relationships and the continuous development of relationships with children

Abstract

Generation Z is a generation that is active in the use of the internet, they accept social media as something that is taken for granted, with the characteristics of this generation of Z, this generation will be a generation that plays an important role in the development of the State of Indonesia. The problem is that the Z generation of social media users is dominated by teenagers, the negative impact of excessive use of social media by teenagers can lead to addictive behavior which is referred to as social networking addiction. This behavior is caused by various things, from the lack of parental supervision to the lack of digital media literacy in adolescents, as well as to adolescents in Jakarta, especially in the Pesanggerah region, South Jakarta. Based on these problems, the purpose of this study was to find out how digital media literacy in using social media by teenagers in Jakarta belongs to social networking addiction at the level of technical skills, crtitical understanding and communicative abbilities. This study uses concepts related to media literacy, digital media literacy, characteristics of social media, social networking addiction and Generation Z. The research method used is case-1 case study, qualitative approach, data obtained by in-depth interviews and participant observation, as well as data Secondary sources are related documents, books and mass media. The results of this study were the informants were in a state of digital media literacy that was not optimal, at the technical skill level the informants were able to use social networking, but did not understand the negative impact if using it was too active. At the critical understanding level, the informants did not understand the function, how to sort the contents, and the application of the ITE Law, at the level of communicative abbilities the informants did not select their followers, so they often received negative content or negative comments.

Abstract

One of the most essential community services is the health-care service. Since, basically everyone needs a healthy physic to run all activities, so he could live his daily life well. Therefore, the best and trustworthy health-care service for community is essentially needed. The purpose of this research is to reveal the relation of the Informational service officers5' skills, interests, and trusts on patients/visitors' attitude toward the Local Integrated Service Unit of the Community Health Clinics in Nagreg. For the research, writer used the Correlational Quantitative Method, which is revealing the relation between one variable with the others. The result of the research shown that there's a significant relationship between the Informational service officers' skills, on patients/visitors' attitude toward the Local Integrated Service Unit of the Community Health Clinics in Nagreg. Which means that the higher skill of the Informational service officers have, the better attitude will be shown by the patients/visitors in the Local Integrated Service Unit of the Community Health Clinics in Nagreg. The officers' appeals can also increase the patients/visitors' positive attitude. And also, the more trustworthy the officers are, the more positive attitude will be shown by the patients/visitors toward the Informational service in the Local Integrated Service Unit of the Community Health Clinics in Nagreg.

Abstract

Since the launch of decentralization, the Musrenbang (Musyawarah Rencana Pembangunan) or Multi Stakeholder Consultation Forum for Development Planning is the principal instrument introduced by the Government of Indonesia for public consultation. In support of this participatory Musrenbang process, a number of regional governments including South Tangerang, have tried to increase participation by developing an online Public relations system. It is addressed to legislate transparency in budgeting and deepen the consultative approach down to the community level. The said system is electronic Musrenbang (e-Musrenbang) coordinated by Bappeda (City Development Planning Agency) together with disctrict level (Kecamatan). This research aimed to seek how the utilization of Cyber PR in Musrenbang by City Development Planning Agency of South Tangerang (Bappeda). Using qualitative data and case study method, the research conducted through in-depth interviews and FGD with bureaucrats in Bappeda, sub-district, village, and neighbourhood. E-Musrenbang as one of the concepts of Cyber PR conducted in Bappeda Tangerang Selatan, needs to be improved. This is to foster the use the application and the involvement of stakeholders for better Tangerang Selatan in the future.
