Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of skills, abilities, education and training on the satisfaction of users of accounting information. The research method uses quantitative methods. The sample in this study were UNPAM students who worked as accounting and had received education and accounting information system training and training. The results of this study are the influence of skills on the satisfaction of users of accounting information, there is an influence on the ability of users of accounting information satisfaction and there is no influence of education and training on the satisfaction of users of accounting information.

Abstract

ABSTRACTFundamental factor has powerful influences to the dividend policy that indicated by the Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR), because of it shows the companies financial performance. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of fundamental factor that are consisting of Earning Per Share (EPS), Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) to the Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) and its impact on corporate value is proxyed by Price Earning Ratio (PER) the oil palm plantation.This research was conducted using secondary data that obtained from www.bursamalaysia.com period 2009-2016. The analysis method used is descriptive statistics method and panel data regression method. The sample of this research was extracted with purposive sampling. The 88 corporate annual reports was analyzed as sampels. Testing hypothesis research using model fixed effect with eviews app tool 9 version.This results indicate that growth EPS, CR, DER, DPR and firm value in oil palm plantation companies in  Malaysia Exchanges from 2009-2016 period on average fluctuate every year. Partially variable Earning Per Share (EPS) doesn’t have a significant effect on the variable Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). Partially the variable Current Ratio (CR) has a significant effect on the variable Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). Partially variable Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) doesn’t have significant effect on the variable Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). Simultaneously and together the variable Earning Per Share (EPS), Current Ratio (CR), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) have a significant on the variable Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). Partially variable Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) has no significant effect on firm value variable (proxy with (PER) Price Earning Ratio).

Abstract

Research aim : This study aimed to get empirical evidence of the effect of tax rates and the adoption of IFRS to Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). The study also attempts to identify whether a country needs to adopt IFRS fully, convergence IFRS or not using IFRS  able to increase FDI. Otherwise to detect Tax rates from Asean Economic Community Countries can affected FDI. Design / Methodology / Approach: This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The sample consisted of 54 observations of each variable that consists of information 9 countries of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) during the years 2011 to 2016. The proposed model was tested using multiple regression analysis through partial t test, as well as simultaneous test F. Research findings: The results showed the tax rate in a country negatively affect FDI and the adoption of IFRS by a country has a positive effect on FDI, while simultaneously tax rates and the adoption of IFRS have a significant effect on FDI. Contributions theoretical / Originality :  This study extends the theoretical concept of tax rates and the level of IFRS adoption, even though previous research has been done before in developing countries, and  there is no research that focuses on AEC countries.  Previous research used a simple score of 2 to 3 score levels in AECsuring the level of IFRS adoption in each sample country so that it was not able to accurately AECsure the level of IFRS adoption in each country. This Research is using five (5) levels of scores taken from the IASB namely  full adoption, adapted, pieceAECl, referenced, and not adoption at all. Practicioner / Policy Implication: The result will be useful to policy makers as an authoritative Tax and Accounting Bodies in AEC Countries as an input to identify factors which can increase Foreign Direct Investment. Research Limitation/Implication : This Study used data from 2011 to 2016, however, others factors could be used with FDI in future researches.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of inflation and the equity price index on the net asset value of the Islamic Fixed Income Mutual Funds registered with the Financial Services Authority for the period from from 2011 to 2016. The type of search used is associative search. The data in this study are secondary historical data using Net Asset Value (NAV) and the share price index published by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), as well as inflation data published by Bank Indonesia for the period 2011-2016. The method used in this study uses regression analysis with panel data. The results show that inflation has a negative and significant impact on the net asset value. The equity price index has a positive and significant influence on the net asset value. Inflation and the equity price index simultaneously have a significant effect on the net asset value of Sharia mutual funds.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of education funds, the amount of infrastructure, human resources of teachers to the effectiveness of education programs. The population in this study is sepill provincial education in Indonesia in 2016. The sample amounted to 34 provinces with the observation of 34 local revenue balance. The observation is conducted for one year, in 2016. The Data used are secondary Data, among others derived from the income balance of the province in Indonesia, especially the vocational school is determined through purposive sampling. Data analysis was done by hypothesis tested by linear regression method. The results of this study indicate that funds educational, teaching personnel affect the effectiveness of educational programs, while the amount of infrastructure does not affect the effectiveness of educational programs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and measure the effect of the mechanism of Good Corporate Governance and Financial Performance on the quality of Internet Financial Reporting. This research was conducted in the manufacturing sector on the IDX during the 2015-2016 period. Based on the method of sample selection, the sample was obtained at the end of a study of 140 data with 70 issuers being 125 data from the manufacturing sector on the IDX. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis. The t-test statistic was carried out before multiple regression equation analysis, in the first stage the classical assumption was tested which consisted of normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that institutional ownership, the proportion of independent commissioners, frequency of meeting of commissioners, return on assets and leverage have no effect on Internet Financial Reporting. The coefficient of determination that sees the influence of the independent variable used in the research model of the dependent variable is 9.30%, while the rest (90.70%) is explained by other variables

Abstract

ABSTRACTEarnings persistence and earnings transparency are an important factors in company performance. The quality of financial statement will differentiate performance between one company to another. The research purposed to analyze the effect of earnings persistence and earnings transparency on the company performance. In addition, the research purposed to analyze corporate governance as a moderating variable can strengthens the effect between earnings persistence and earnings transparency on company performance. This research using sample of 363 firms-year in 2014-2016 and applying panel data analysis. The results show that earnings persistence variable has a positive significant effect on the company performance. Earning transparency also has a positive significant effect on company performance. For corporate governance as a moderation variable strengthens the effect between earnings persistence and earning transparency to the company performance. Size and age also have a positive significant effect on company performance. Keywords: earnings persistence; earnings transparency; company performance; corporate governance.

Abstract

In making rational decisions, investors need complete, accurate, and timely information. Companies can disclose information such as the implementation of good corporate governance, financial performance, and sustainability report. This research aims to obtain evidence that good corporate governance and corporate size have an effect on environmental performance. We use sustainability reporting disclosure as a proxy for the environmental achievement of the company. This study indicates that (1) good corporate governance has no effects on environmental performance; (2) corporate size has no effects on sustainability report disclosure.

Abstract

Tax revenue is the main source of Indonesia’s revenue. On the other side, tax payer consider tax as an expense that should be minimized because it can reduce economic ability of companies  This is the reason why companies want to do same aggressive tax planning.The purpose of this research is to analyse the effect to executive compensation, CFOs female representation, institutional ownership, and firm size on tax aggressiveness. This research used 47 sample of manufacturing firms listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange for period on 2014-2016 that acquired by purposive sampling method. The method of research analysis was used multiple regression analysis.The result of this research showed that simultaneously, executive compensation, CFOs female representation, institutional ownership, and firm size has significant effect on tax aggressiveness. Partially, executive compensation has significant effect on tax aggressiveness. While the CFOs female representation, institutional ownership, and firm size has no significant effect on tax aggressiveness.The results of this research conclude that executive compensation is one of effective to minimize tax expense. On the other way, it indicates the larger amount of executive compensation will increase the level of tax aggressiveness. Keywords: Executive compensation, CFOs female representation, institutional    ownership, firm size, tax aggressiveness.

Abstract

As we all know, tax is one of the most essential source of a state income which reaches up to 70% of the total. The target of tax payment has always increased every year, together with the increasing need of state expenses. Many breakthrough has been made since the onset of tax reformation in 2002 in order to facilitate the tax payers in fulfilling their duty as well as to reach the target of tax proceeds.One of those breakthrough is Sunset Policy, and the other is Tax Amnesty. The Population used in this research is non -employee individual taxpayer enlisted in the Tax Office of Majalaya, Bandung City, using qualitative data (the primary data obtained from questionnaire result). Sampling data drawn from simple random sampling method. Data analysis method used is the Simple Regression analysis which has passed the validity, reliability and classical assumption tests combined t-test.The result of this research shows that there is a significant influence of both Sunset Policy and Tax Amnesty variable to the tax compliance of the individual tax payer, with the Sunset Policy conveys greater impact than the latter.Key words: tax amnesty, sunset policy, tax compliance of the individual tax payer
