Abstract

This research used a qualitative study method which is to draw analysis from inductive angles. It has the following objectives as first to determine the impact of remuneration has on job satisfaction of employees, secondly, to further understand whether there is equity in remuneration policies that are applied to employees in general, and thirdly, to establish other remuneration systems that exists in most hospitality pay policies. The aim of this research is to assess the impact of remuneration and job satisfaction among hotel workers, there is the need to gather data on remuneration and job satisfaction of hospitality service in Ghana. This is an inductive study based on non-probability sampling technique. A quota sampling of 50 AH Hotel workers responded to the questionnaire. Quota sampling is a non-probability sampling method that relies on the non-random selection or convenience of a predetermined number or proportion of units. The research designed closed ended and open questions in the interview questionnaire (as data collection instrument in qualitative nature) which the respondents gave their feedback. The research findings shows that remuneration payment has greater impact on job satisfaction because many of the employees were happy with their salaries/wages. This is the more reason why they are retained as loyal staff with good morale behaviours, punctuality at work, and are also, good team players.

Abstract

This paper examined the impact of financial development on economic growth in Nigeria. The paper employed time series data (1985-2022) using ARDL approach, the objective of the study to access the causal relationship between financial development and economic growth in Nigeria. The data were obtained from Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and (WDI, 2023); Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Domestic Credit to Private Sector(DCRS), Market Capitalization (MACAP), Consumer Price Index (CPI), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Interest Rate (INTR) and Financial Development (FD) proxies by the ratio of broad money stock (M2). The study was anchored on Supply-Leading Hypothesis theory by Robinson 1952. The results show that all the indicators of financial development and its influence on economic growth, the DCRS has a negative influence on GDP, its impact is not statistically significant, implying an indirect effect, the CPI and FDI significantly affect GDP with CPI excreting a negative impact and FDI demonstrating a strong negative correlation. The ECM explores short term relationship among these variables and their implication for FD. Based on the following conclusion the following recommendations were made among others; strengthen price stability and implemented effective monetary policies and price control mechanism to maintain stable and controlled inflation.

Abstract

The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the educational systems of both public and private primary schools in Africa has become a crucial factor in enhancing teaching and learning. This paper explores the role of ICT tools in education, including computers, interactive whiteboards, learning management systems, educational apps, online collaboration tools, television, and online assessment tools. It discusses their applications and the advantages they offer, such as fostering creativity, improving academic performance, increasing motivation and responsibility, and promoting teamwork. However, it also acknowledges the challenges associated with ICT integration, including distractions, excessive usage, exposure to false information, data theft, reduced human contact, and cyberbullying. Moreover, the paper highlights key challenges in African education, such as the lack of computer literacy among instructors, low teledensity, unstable power supply, inadequate financing, and the absence of a comprehensive ICT curriculum. It concludes by emphasizing the need for a holistic approach to ICT integration, addressing infrastructure, teacher training, curriculum development, and organizational support to realize the full potential of ICT in education especially at the Primary school level.

Abstract

This review explores the crucial nexus between financial management and the learning environment within government-aided primary schools in Ibanda Municipality, Uganda. Education in developing nations heavily depends on the efficient allocation and utilization of funds, directly impacting the quality of education and overall learning experience for students. Drawing upon a comprehensive analysis of selected schools in Ibanda Municipality, this review investigates the diverse financial management strategies employed and their subsequent influence on essential educational components, including infrastructure, teaching resources, and student welfare. This review research revealed that there is a direct correlation between effective financial management and the overall enhancement of the learning environment. Schools with robust financial planning mechanisms demonstrate improved infrastructure, better teacher-student ratios, and enhanced availability of educational resources whereas those schools facing financial constraints struggle to survive financially which affects the quality of education. Moreover, this review sheds light on the challenges faced by schools in resource allocation and highlights potential solutions to enhance financial sustainability. It emphasizes the need for strategic financial planning, transparent budgeting, and community involvement to ensure the effective utilization of limited resources.

Abstract

Teenage pregnancy remains a major public health and social development concern in the Philippines, with adolescent birth rates among the highest in Southeast Asia. In response, policymakers introduced the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Bill, which aims to institutionalize Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE). However, the bill has sparked polarized responses from various stakeholders, revealing tensions between moral conservatism and rights-based public health advocacy. This study investigates how the bill is discursively framed in media and policy narratives and how such framings influence public perception and policy legitimacy. Adopting a qualitative design, it employs Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to examine 50 news articles and 200 social media posts, complemented by six semi-structured interviews with policymakers, youth advocates, and religious leaders. Findings reveal a clash between moral protectionist and public health frames, each claiming to safeguard youth but operating on distinct emotional and ideological logics. The legitimacy of the bill is further undermined by low institutional trust, especially in local governments and education agencies. Youth are often excluded from formal policy discourse but emerge as both vulnerable and active participants in digital spaces where misinformation also thrives. The study argues that successful sexuality education reform requires reframing efforts that align moral and health narratives, rebuild institutional credibility, and meaningfully integrate youth voices. Future research should explore hybrid communication strategies and youth-led policy design as tools for bridging ideological divides.
