Abstract

Adolescence is a transition from childhood to adulthood. In this case the change in social interaction and self-control is influenced by one's self-concept. By having a positive self-concept students are able to accept their condition and maximize their potential. However, in reality there are still students in the field who have a negative self-concept that feels themselves are insignificant, are very sensitive to criticism and feel pessimistic every time they encounter a problem. The concept of self is an individual's perception of himself, his abilities, and one of the determinants of someone in being good or bad so that it can cause changes in knowledge, attitudes, behavior and it is suspected that one of the factors that influence it is creativity. This study aims to determine the relationship between creativity and self-concept of students of Junior High Shcool 2 Padang. This research is a descriptive correlational research with quantitative methods. A total of 223 students were selected using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The research instrument used was a questionnaire of creativity and student self-concept questionnaire with a Likert scale model. The results revealed that (1) the creativity of students in Junior High School 2 Padang as a whole was categorized as high (2) the self-concept of students in Junior High School Padang as a whole was categorized as high (3) there was a significant relationship between creativity and the students' self concept in Junior High School 2 Padang. Based on the research findings, it is recommended that school counselors/school counselors be able to provide guidance and counseling services, namely information services and individual counseling services in order to help students who have problems with self-concept.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of many students who can not interact well in school, don’t respond well when invited to join their friends, even students express with anger, say harsh words, and even violence. One of the factors that influence emotional maturity is social interaction. The objectives of this study are (1) to describe the emotional maturity of students, (2) to describe the social interactions of students, (3) to examine the relationship between the emotional maturity of students and the social interaction of students of SMP N 1 Ranah Batahan. This research is a descriptive correlational type of research with quantitative methods. The population of this research is students at SMP N 1 Ranah Batahan. The sample size of 157 students was selected using the Purposive Random Sampling technique. The research instruments used were emotional maturity questionnaire and social interaction questionnaire. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistical techniques with the help of the SPSS For Windows 20.0 program. The results of this study reveal that (1) students emotional maturity is in the mature category, (2) students social interactions are in the good category, and (3) there is a positive significant relationship between emotional maturity ans students social interaction with an arithmetic value of 0,613. This shows that the value of r count > r table (0,156). These results then the hypothesis Hi: “there is a significant relationship between emotional maturity with social interaction of students in school” can be accepted and Ho is rejected.

Abstract

Bullying is the behavior of a person or group that has the power to oppress a person or group that he considers weak from him. Bullying has the form of direct physical contact, direct verbal, non-verbal direct, non-verbal indirect and sexual harassment. This study aims to describe the perceptions of student's bystander about bullying behavior. The study population was 233 students at 7 Public Middle School in Kerinci and a sample of 65 students were selected using the Purposive Sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale, data were analyzed using simple statistical techniques. The research findings revealed that bystander student's perceptions abaout bullying behavior were generally good, meaning that bystander student's did not support the behavior carried out by bullying offenders. Although there are still student's who perceive not to be good.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of underprivileged students find reference in research, then students are not able to communicate well when meeting with supervisors, and students have difficulty understanding the research concepts. This study aims to describe the adversity quotient in preparing thesis for students in terms of: (1) control, (2) origin and ownership, (3) reach, and (4) endurance.This research uses quantitative methods with descriptive type. The sample in this study were 267 people selected using the Proportional Random Sampling technique. The research instrument used was the adversity quotient questionnaire composing the thesis using a Likert scale. Data were processed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The results of the study revealed that: (1) adversity quotient compiling thesis for FIP UNP students is in the high enough category (2) in the control aspect is in the high enough category, (3) in the origin and ownership aspects are in the high enough category, (4) the reach aspect is in the high enough category, and (5) the endurance aspect is in the quite high category. Based on the research findings, it is suggested to the Counselor at the University to be able to provide guidance and counseling services in the form of information services, individual counseling, and group counseling, in order to assist students in alleviating problems that are being experienced by these students and to increase adversity quotient.

Abstract

Happiness is a pleasure and tranquility of life inwardly and outwardly achieved through satisfaction of needs and expectations in life. Obtained individual satisfaction is a sign that people are happy. The more people feel satisfied in life, then the individual is the happier.This study aims to (1) Describing happiness teenager at homePure Tri social childcare Padang Panjang based acceptance., (2) describe the happiness teenagers at homePure Tri social childcare Padang Panjang by compassion, (3) describe the happiness teenagers at homePure Tri social childcare Padang Panjang based on merit. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The subjects were adolescent social institutions of childcare Tri Murni Leopold. The research subject restricted to the orphanage school teens high school level (high school, vocational and MAN) sebayak 56 people. Research carried out by administering a questionnaire happiness teenage orphanage. Data analyzed using percentages. The research findings indicate the results of happiness (happiness) adolescent social institutions childcare Pure Tri Padang Panjang in the category quite happy. More detailed (1) happiness (happiness) adolescent social institutions asuahan child Tri Murni Padang Panjang on aspects of acceptance is in the category quite happy, (2) happiness (happiness) adolescent social institutions of childcare Tri Murni Padang Panjang on aspects of love that are in category quite happy, (3) happiness (happiness) adolescent social institutions of childcare Tri Murni Padang Panjang on aspects of achievement that are in the happy category. Assistance can be given in this study is in the form of services in guidance and counseling. As for the types of services that can be given in this study were (1) the information service, (2) individual counseling services, (3) placement and distribution, and (4) group counseling services.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of students who lack empathy to help friends who need help. Altruistic behavior is an action taken by someone to provide assistance to others voluntarily and sincerely without expecting anything in return. This research aims to describe the altruistic behavior of students in terms of: (1) sharing, (2) cooperating, (3) helping, (4) contributing, (5) honesty, (6) generosity, and (7) consider the rights and welfare of others. This research uses quantitative methods with descriptive type. The population of this study were 601 high school students in Kampung Dalam Padang Pariaman Regency. The total sample of 240 people was selected using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The research instrument used was an altruistic behavior questionnaire for students. Data were processed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The results of the study revealed the altruistic behavior of students on; (1) the sharing aspect is in the medium category, (2) the cooperating aspect is in the high category, (3) the helping aspect is in the high category, (4) the donating aspect is in the category very high, (5) the honesty aspect is in the high category, (6) the generosity aspect is in the high category, (7) the aspect of considering the rights and welfare of others is in the high category. Based on the research findings, it is suggested to the Guidance and Counseling Teachers to be able to provide services in the form of information services, content mastery services, and group guidance services in order to further enhance altruistic behavior in students.

Abstract

This research is a correlational research. This research aims to find out whether there is a relationship of religiosity with social interaction of peers in SMn 1 Airpura. Testing the hypothesis in this study using statistical analysis using SPSS 16.0. The population in this study were students at 1Airpura High School consisting of 625 people using a stratified random sampling with a total of 244 people. The results of this study are (1) The level of religiosity of Airpura 1 N High School students is in the medium category. Hereby shows that the students of SMA N 1 Airpura are quite good in their level of religiosity, (2) The social interaction of students of SMA N 1 Airpura is in the medium category. This shows that students of SMA N 1 Airpura have good social interactions in their daily lives and also during their time at school, (3) There is a significant positive relationship between the significant level of religiosity and social interaction at SMA N 1 Airpura. This means that the higher the level of religiosity, there is a tendency for higher social interaction carried out by Airpura N 1 High School students. Conversely, the lower the level of religiosity there is a tendency for the lower social interactions undertaken by Airpura 1 N High School students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of early marriage that occurs among adolescents. Early marriage is a marriage that starts from the age of 16 years to 19 years. The ideal age for getting married at the age of 21 years. This study aims to (1) describe adolescent perceptions about early marriage from the cognitive aspect (2) describe adolescent perceptions about early marriage viewed from the affective aspect (3) describe adolescent views about early marriage viewed from the conative aspect.The type of research used is quantitative with descriptive research. The sample in this study students of class X, XI, XII SMA 7 Sarolangun with 246 students. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using percentage techniques.The results showed that: The results showed that: (1) adolescents' perceptions of early marriage viewed from the cognitive aspects in Sarolangun 7 High School were in a fairly good category with a percentage of 80%, (2) adolescent perceptions about early marriage viewed from the affective aspects in Sarolangun 7 High School in the pretty good category with a percentage of 76%, (3) adolescent perceptions about early marriage seen from the cognitive aspects at SMA Negeri 7 Sarolangun are in the quite good category with a percentage of 56%. According to the research findings, counselor and teachers need to provide guidance and counseling services to adolescents regarding early marriage.

Abstract

Based on the phenomenon that researchers can be in the field when conducting interviews with several guidance and counseling teachers and students find that there are students who are perpetrators of bullying, students take acts of hazing, students take the act of "happy slapping", calling friends by name calls, take violent actions such as pinching, blackmailing and threatening. The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the tendency of bullying from the type of verbal bullying, (2) the tendency of bullying from the type of physical bullying, (3) the tendency of bullying from the type of relational bullying, and (4) the tendency of bullying from the type of cyberbullying behavior. This type of research is descriptive. The research subjects were 45 students of class VIII and IX of SMP N 12 Padang who were registered in the 2018/2019 school year. The instrument used in this study was a student bullying behavior questionnaire with a likert scale model. The data analysis technique used is the percentage technique. The research findings revealed that (1) the tendency of bullying behavior of students of SMP N 12 Padang seen from the type of verbal bullying was classified as high (2) the tendency of bullying behavior of students of SMP N 12 Padang viewed from its type. physical bullying is classified as moderate, (3) the tendency of bullying behavior of students of SMP N 12 Padang seen from the type of relational bullying is classified as high and (4) the tendency of bullying from the type of cyberbullying behavior is classified as moderate. . Based on these findings, it is expected that the guidance and counseling teacher helps students in minimizing the tendency of student bullying behavior by providing information services, content mastery services, group guidance services, group counseling services and individual counseling services with material related to student bullying behavior.

Abstract

Facts in the field show that there are very high levels of aggressive behavior in students. Aggressive behavior is an aggressive action that is intentionally done to hurt others and is done repeatedly. The main objective in this study is to reveal the effectiveness of the Cognitive Behavioral Modification approach with Relaxation Techniques through Group Settings to reduce students' aggressive behavior. This type of research is experimental research. Pre experimental design models using the One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The subjects of this study were 10 students of SMP UNP Laboratory Development who have very high aggressive behavior. Data collection methods use a scale of aggressive behavior. Data analysis using Wilcoxon test and descriptive data analysis. From the results of the pretest Aggressive behavior scale there are 1 student in the high category and 9 students in the very high category. The results of the posttests of 10 students after being given cognitive behavioral modification treatment changed the average of students' aggressive behavior and were in the low category. Wilcoxon test results showed an average of T count = 0, 005 <T_table = 0.005. The results showed that there were differences in students' aggressive behavior before and after participating in the activity. So cognitive behavioral modification is effective to reduce students' aggressive behavior.
