Abstract

HIV-AIDS merupakan penyakit yang mengancam masyarakat, terutama di wilayah yang memiliki potensi perilaku berisiko tinggi. Wilayah yang merupakan zona merah penyebaran HIV-AIDS salah satunya yaitu Desa Karangtengah Kecamatan Cilongok. Tujuan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu menerapkan upaya kemitraan desa dan pusksemas dalam upaya melakukan pencegahan HIV-AIDS. Metode dalam kegiatannya ini diawali dengan kegiatan brainstorming dengan khalayak sasaran antara lain petugas promosi kesehatan, dokter, bidan dan konselor VCT, kader WPA, perangkat desa, perwakilan Kecamatan Cilongok. Kegiatan berikutnya yaitu sosialisasi dan pemberian informasi kemitraan desa dan puskesmas untuk melakukan upaya pencegahan HIV-AIDS yang telah dilakukan. Pelatihan dilakukan pada khalayak sasaran kader WPA, perwakilan puskesmas, perangkat desa dan tokoh masyarakat. Pemantapan komitmen dan pembagian peran para pelaku kemitraan desa-puskesmas dilakukan seara bertahap dimulai dengan diseminasi pencegahan HIV-AIDS melalui pendekatan media berupa leaflet dan banner. Simpulan dalam kegiatan ini penerapan kemitraan desa-puskesmas telah dilakukan namun masih diperlukan upaya pemantapan komitmen dan pembagian peran dalam upaya melakukan pencegahan HIV-AIDS

Abstract

The development of public awareness on the dangers of pesticides as preservatives demands environmentally friendly preservatives production. It is a great opportunity to develop and produce natural wood preservatives from Sengon wood waste (Paraserianthes falcataria). This community service program aims to improve the production of natural wood preservatives made from good quality Sengon wood waste which is safe for the environment. The method used is the application of prototype manufacturing of pilot plan scale wood vinegar to increase the production of ready commercial use natural preservatives. This community service activity will produce wood preservatives based on consistent quality Sengon wood waste, increased production capacity and increase the efficiency of timbers.

Abstract

Elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum) is a high nutritious forage that is often used as beef cattle main feed. This forage is easily cultivated, produces a lot of biomass, and can be harvested several times a year. This community service activity aimed at empowering the residents of Timbuolo Tengah Village, Botupinge sub-district, Gorontalo province to be able to independently and properly cultivate the elephant grass on land that was not utilized. The empowerment method used was giving theories indoor and continued with the practice of planting it on a demonstration plot of land. Stages of implementation included preparation (identification of partner problems, socialization of activity programs), implementation (extension of the grass cultivation, determination of demonstration land plots, land clearing, fencing around the land, preparation of the cuttings, planting and maintenance), and evaluation (behavior of the partners and their production of the planted grass). The observations of the behavior of a number of Central Timbuolo villagers showed a good response during the preparation until planting the grass. Some residents had been able to independently cultivate it on private land showing an increase in villagers' knowledge and skills. The grass planted on several demonstration plots of land grew well and was quite fertile. The palatability of beef cattle to the grass originating from the crop looked higher than other forages, it consumed more and the performance was better than before.

Abstract

Aqua-vert comes from the terms aquaponics and verticulture, the concept of integrated cultivation between fish maintenance and gardening which is done vertically using a recirculation system. This concept is an innovative, practical and economical creation because it does not require large tracts of land, saves water, has high aesthetic value, is productive, simple and easy to understand. The purpose of this activity is to increase understanding environment and love of the environment in elementary school students through the aqua-vert application. This activity was carried out at Bobosan I Elementary School, North Purwokerto Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency, using the following methods: theory was given orally, increased understanding and skills carried out through training, followed by mentoring for one month, evaluated and finally conducted demonstration plots. The results of the activity showed an increase in the understanding of the target audience about the benefits of aqua-vert for the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Hypertension is the number one cause of death in 2030 (WHO, 2014). Hypertension as a silent killer endangers sufferers due to complications such as stroke and acute coronary syndrome. Stress management with relaxation reduce their blood pressure. Other hypertension management is a diet. Education is a promotive, preventive and rehabilitative action. The study of 5 members of the Hypertension Care Group in Mersi was only 1 (20%) people who routinely used relaxation techniques. 2 (40%) people do not consume low-fat milk, 4 (80%) people do not consume celery, 1 (20%) people do not consume cucumber and green tea. The purpose of community service (CS) was to improve control of hypertension by increasing knowledge about the diet of hypertension and autogenic relaxation. The method was carried out by lectures, discussions, question and answer, interviews, demonstrations, and watching videos. The CS target audience was members of group in Mersi, especially RT 05 / RW 01. The implementation of autogenic education and diet education training has 4th sessions. The majority of age are 12 (60%). The majority gender are female 16 (80%). There were 13 (65%) exercise routines, 18 (90%) did not smoke, and there were 18 hypertension offspring (90%). A total of 11 (55.0%) participants have a good diet. Participants have grade 2 hypertension before CS and including grade 1 hypertension after CS showed that there were significant differences between systolic and diastolic blood pressure before and after the activity. Trainees can understand the diet of hypertensive patients and can demonstration autogenic relaxation.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to increase the utilization of existing picohidro power plants (PLTPH), increase the power capacity and quality of existing PLTPH and improve the quality of electricity distribution for public street lighting in Siwarak hamlet, Watuagung village, Tambak district, Banyumas district. The achievement of the objectives of the activity is carried out by the methods of: (1) making training dictates, (2) training of facilitators, (3) training of elementary school age children and facilitating laptops and printers (4) increasing the capacity of power plants for picohydro and power plants, and (5) improving the quality of electricity distribution.The results achieved were: computer training for 25 children of primary education age, 4 facilitators, an increase in PLTPH power from 1000 watts to around 1500 watts, an increase in the quality of generating houses and an increase in the quality of electricity distribution for public street lighting.Keywords : improvement, utilization, quality, PLTPH, lighting
