Abstract

The democracy in Minangkabau society is always guided by the expression of duduak surang basampik-sampik, duduak basamo samo balapang lapang, duduak samo randah tagak samo tinggi. From the philosophy below the reseacher express it into the creation of musical composition entitled “Dek Rang Mi” taken from a fragment of Rang Minangkabau Democracy. This music creation was provided three interpretation. First, it was interpreted the meaning of duduak surang basampik sampik, means the process of how we can appreciate people’s opinion. The second interpretation was about the meaning of duduak basamo balapang lapang which is democratic life in society, also it was interpreting individual importance that merge into the important of group communities. The third interpretation the meaning of duduak samo randah tagak samo tinggi means in the deliberation can reveal their opinions freely without any exception. Abstract

This article aims to reveal and describe the Inheritance of Gandang Dance music in Nagari Pauh IX Kuranji Subdistrict, Padang City. This research type is qualitative research with descriptive method. The object of this research is Gandang dance music in Nagari Pauh IX Kecamatan Kuranji Kota Padang. Data were collected through literature study, observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis is done by referring to ethnography technique. The findings of research indicate that Gandang dance music is a traditional dance in Nagari Pauh IX Kuranji subdistrict of Padang City and grows and develops in pencak silat target area, traditional music and dance. which is located in Nagari Pauh IX, precisely in the area of Katapiang. In the development of Gandang dance music tradition has developed from the aspect of inheritance. At the beginning of Gandang dance music in Nagari Pauh IX, the inheritance system is more likely to be closed, that is through blood and kinship affinities. While the present when entering the 1975s, has developed a system of inheritance from a closed system through blood and kinship relationship to the open system through learning from teacher to pupil in pencak silat target.Keywords : Gandang Dance Music, Inheritance System and Nagari Pauh IX

Abstract

South Sumatra custom homes as a cultural heritage of the community of South Sumatra containing elements of a culture that has existed since long ago. As a cultural heritage, South Sumatra custom homes should be maintained and conserved. But not the inclusion of diversity learning curriculum of South Sumatra custom homes in school especially elementary school made knowledge of South Sumatra custom homes is very A little. The existence of this drafting aims to introduce a variety of South Sumatra custom homes and as learning in schools using the medium of Puzzle Games. This design can preserve the diversity of South Sumatra custom homes through a media game, preserving in this is in terms of scholarship in the know diversity custom homes using various media. This puzzle game is a simple game that is played with the loading plug. Based on the notion of a puzzle game, then it can be inferred that this puzzle game is an educational game tool that can stimulate the child's abilities, played by way of dismantling the puzzle pieces based on pairs of couples who has been specified.               Keywords: South Sumatra custom homes, Media education, puzzle game

Abstract

This article is about the form and function of Bumiayu III temple located in Muaraenim regency of South Sumatera Province. This study aims to develop and provide insight and information to the general public both artists, culturalists, art lovers, lovers of local culture and culture of the archipelago, who should know about the form and function of Bumiayu III temple.In cultural studies of the archipelago, the study of the existence of Bumiayu III temple is rare in South Sumatra.Therefore, the existence of decoration in the temple of Bumiayu III here is described briefly and presented qualitatively interactively with the Aesthetic Nusantara approach.Research method that is various relevant data can be used in supporting the continuity of research.Data collection starts from the study of observation, documentation, interview and literature study. From result of analysis to form and function of decoration of Bumiayu III temple ie; The explanation of the background of Bumiayu III temple, the purpose, the origin of the history of the temple Bumiayu III, continued the exposition of the function of the temple ornament consists of personal functions, social functions, and physical functions, in addition described also about the form of temple decoration ; motifs of plants (flora), animal motifs (fauna), and human motives (figures of deity) at Bumiayu III temple located in Muaraenim regency of South Sumatra Province.Keywords: shape, function of decoration of temple Bumiayu III

Abstract

Dog pets are very much in demand by the race breeds Society. But dog keepers are less responsible to the dog and less responsive to what is needed by the dog. This will lead to neglect of existing dogs that lead to violence against dogs. Lack of education and information. Dog keepers do not know the important things related. The existence of this design greatly facilitates the dog keepers neglect their dogs in terms of physical and mental as well as provide education to dog keepers in the care of his dog. Abstract

The design of visual communication media is basically one of the efforts that can be done to preserve the folklore in the city of palembang. Bagus Kuning folklore is one of the folklore in South Sumatra. Ratu Bagus Kuning is a title, the original name of Putri Mulia Syarifah Mahani. Still descendants of Syaidi Syech Zain Al-Abid Yemen (Syech Zainal Abidin Madina RA Son Syaidina Husain RA Son Syaidina Ali Karamullah Wajha with first wife Siti Fatimah Az-Zahro Binti Muhammad SAW). Although she is a woman, her leadership can be an example and to be liked by everyone. He is the local ruler who is domiciled on the coast of the river Musi named Ratu Bagus Kuning. That said, he is one of the disciples of nine guardians on the island of Java known as Walisongo. His presence in Palembang was to spread Islam. The interest of the writer raised this theme seen from the moral message possessed by Bagus Kuning. Visual Communication Media Design aims to introduce the folklore in the city of Palembang his special folklore Good Yellow to children in the city of Palembang for this folktale is more widely known by the public as well as a destination for educational, religious, historical and cultural .It is in need of effective and efficient promotion media. The design of this visual communication media is book designed in such a way based on media problem.
