Abstract

AbstractThis research is focused on aspects of the Process and Identification of Lkauer Crafts in Palembang, with the objectives being, 1) to support efforts to preserve the art of laker crafts in Palembang, 2) to find out the development of the design of the laker craft, 3) to find out the local cultural values contained in Palembang laker crafts, 4) to add insight and teaching materials to art and design lectures, especially DKV. The method used is descriptive qualitative method, with the method of collecting field observation data, which is to see firsthand the laker handicraft products in the craft center, and at the Bala Putra Dewa Museum in Palembang, the data collection method is also carried out by interviewing techniques and documenting the object research. The results of the data processing are the authors' analysis through the identification of problems encountered in the field. From these results the conclusions drawn by the author are summarized in the form of a draft strategy for the preservation of the laker craft. In addition to preservation efforts, the laker craft can also provide business opportunities and employment opportunities for the people of Palembang city, of course it cannot be separated from the assistance of the Regional Government in the form of training, workshops, capital assistance as well as providing a place for marketing.Keywords : Laker Crafts, Development, Preservation, PalembangAbstrakPenelitian ini difokuskan pada aspek Proses dan Identifikasi Kerajinan lakaer di Palembang, dengan tujuan, 1) untuk mendukung upaya pelestarian seni kerajinan laker di Palembang, 2) untuk mengetahui perkembangan desain laker. kerajinan, 3) untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai budaya lokal yang terkandung dalam kerajinan laker Palembang, 4) untuk menambah wawasan dan bahan ajar untuk kuliah seni dan desain, khususnya DKV. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan metode pengumpulan data observasi lapangan, yaitu untuk melihat langsung produk kerajinan tangan di pusat kerajinan, dan di Museum Bala Putra Dewa di Palembang, metode pengumpulan data juga dilakukan oleh teknik wawancara dan mendokumentasikan objek penelitian. Hasil pengolahan data adalah analisis penulis melalui identifikasi masalah yang dihadapi di lapangan. Dari hasil ini, kesimpulan yang ditarik oleh penulis dirangkum dalam bentuk konsep strategi untuk pelestarian kerajinan laker. Selain upaya pelestarian, kerajinan laker juga dapat memberikan peluang bisnis dan peluang kerja bagi masyarakat kota Palembang, tentu saja tidak terlepas dari bantuan Pemerintah Daerah dalam bentuk pelatihan, workshop, bantuan modal serta menyediakan tempat untuk pemasaran.Kata kunci: Kerajinan Laker, Pengembangan, Pelestarian, Palembang

Abstract

AbstractThe study was conducted aiming to find the aesthetic values that exist in the mosque building ornament in the city of Padang. The development and spirit of changing times has accompanied the development of the Mosque in Padang City, not only in the function and role of the Mosque, but also seen from the model of the mosque building and ornaments attached to the building. To achieve this goal the approach used in this paper is the aesthetic approach, and multi-disciplinary approach. The aesthetic value of mosque building ornaments can be viewed through the quality structures that make up beauty; first, unity; that each element in the mosque's ornament is a unified and mutually supportive unit, summarized in the quality of art consisting of rhythm, lines and shapes. Second, harmony (harmony); placement of motifs on the mosque building shows harmony by considering the balance between the shape of the motif with the field of placement. Third; symmetry; Almost all the ornaments contained in the mosque building contain symmetrical elements in vertical and horizontal forms. Symmetry can be seen in the motif lines and also the building lines themselves. Fourth; balance (balance); Mosque ornaments in the city of Padang, has three types of balance, namely; symmetrical balance, asymmetrical balance, and centering balance. And the fifth resistance (contras); the contrast does not only occur because of differences in the size of the motif, the contrast can also be seen from the shape and color of the ornament attached to the mosque building.Keywords : Aesthetic, Ornaments, MosqueAbstrakPenelitian dilakukan bertujuan untuk menemukan nilai-nilai estetik yang ada pada ornament bangunan Masjid di Kota Padang. Perkembangan dan semangat zaman yang berubah telah mengiringi perkembangan Masjid di Kota Padang, tidak hanya dalam fungsi dan peran Masjid, tetapi juga terlihat dari model bangunan Masjid dan ornamen yang melekat pada bangunannya.Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut pendekatan yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah pendekatan estetika, dan pendekatan multi disiplin. Nilai estetik ornamen bangunan Masjid dapat ditinjau melalui struktur kualitas pembentuk keindahan; pertama, kesatuan (unity); bahwa setiap unsur dalam ornamen Masjid merupakan satu kesatuan yang utuh dan saling mendukung, yang terangkum dalam kualitas seni yang terdiri dari irama, garis dan bentuk. Kedua, keselarasan (harmony); penempatan motif pada bangunan Masjid menunjukan keselarasan dengan mempertimbangkan keseimbangan antara bentuk motif dengan bidang penempatannya. Ketiga; kesetangkupan (symetry); Hampir semua ornamen yang terdapat pada bangunan Masjid mengandung unsur simetris dalam bentuk vertikal maupun horizontal. Simetri dapat terlihat pada garis motif dan juga garis bangunan itu sendiri. Keempat; keseimbangan (balance); ornamen bangunan Masjid di kota Padang, memiliki tiga jenis keseimbangan yaitu; keseimbangan simetris, keseimbangan asimetris, dan keseimbangan memusat. Dan kelima perlawanan (contras); kontras tidak hanya terjadi karena perbedaan ukuran motif saja, kontras juga terlihat dari bentuk dan warna ornament yang melekat pada bangunan Masjid.Kata kunci : Estetik, Ornamen, Masjid

Abstract

AbstractThe research focused is on bamboo crafts in Nagari Kumanis, Sijunjung Regency, about the use of bamboo material as a potential product using a design strategy. Bamboo production areas in West Sumatra are mostly produced in Sumpur Kudus district in Nagari Tanjung Bonai Aur and Kumanis, Sijunjung Regency. Nagari has a group called Talago Bamboo Crafts. One of the bamboo handicraft centers that has long been developing in West Sumatra is the Tanjung Bonai Aur and Kumanis bamboo crafts. It is known that bamboo crafts in Kumanis nagari are quite unique in terms of technical aspects, but in the aspect of design strategies and market strategies of bamboo products have not been explored properly. So that the economic and production cycle moves in place. Bamboo plantations in West Sumatra belong to communities that are managed independently by the population. Bamboo in the Kumanis nagari community is important by the economic wheel and their economic bamboo efforts as a side job. In fact, Minang residents already have a bamboo garden that is indirectly as a bamboo farmer. This is an opportunity for writers in this design project to provide ideas and design ideas to communities and small industries (homeindustry). In fact, bamboo material has not been specially processed for product design, especially for bamboo product design and Design Strategies. the problem of this research is how to improve, process and utilize bamboo material as one of the development of interior complementary designs and in accordance with market needs and tastes.Keywords : Bamboo, Product Design, Design Strategy, KumanisAbstrak Penelitian yang difokuskan adalah mengenai kerajinan bambu di Nagari Kumanis Kabupaten Sijunjung tentang pemanfaatan material bambu sebagai produk potensial dengan menggunakan strategi desain.  Daerah produksi bambu di Sumatera Barat sebagian besar diproduksi di kabupaten Sumpur Kudus di Nagari Tanjung Bonai Aur dan Kumanis, Kabupaten Sijunjung. Nagari memiliki kelompok yang disebut Kerajinan Talago Bambu. Salah satu pusat kerajinan bambu yang telah lama berkembang di Sumatera Barat adalah kerajinan bambu Tanjung Bonai Aur dan Kumanis. Diketahui bahwa kerajinan bambu di nagari Kumanis cukup unik dalam hal aspek teknis, namun dalam aspek strategi desain dan strategi pasar produk bambu belum dieksplorasi dengan baik. Sehingga siklus ekonomi dan produksi bergerak di tempat. Perkebunan bambu di Sumatera Barat adalah milik masyarakat yang dikelola secara mandiri oleh penduduk. Bambu dalam masyarakat nagari Kumanis adalah penting oleh roda ekonomi dan upaya bambu ekonomi mereka sebagai pekerjaan sampingan. Bahkan, warga Minang telah memiliki kebun bambu yang secara tidak langsung sebagai petani bambu. Ini adalah kesempatan bagi penulis dalam proyek desain ini untuk memberikan ide dan ide desain kepada komunitas dan industri kecil (homeindustry). Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine and describe the form of Drumband Presentation at SMA Negeri 3 Unggulan Kayuagung, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. This study uses a qualitative method. Based on the results of the study, the Presentation Form of Drumband High School 3 State High School Kayuagung Ogan Komering Ilir Regency is divided into two (2) versions, namely Defile and Display. The presentation order consists of the initial (Pampare), Middle (Mars and Song) and the final ( Down tool). While the Display in terms of Drumband SMA Negeri 3 Featured Kayuagung is a form of presentation Drumband that plays one or several songs by using a number of combinations of musical instruments on the Out door page (In the open stage) or In door (Stage Arena) in a line that forms a formation with a pattern that always changes according to the choreography flow of the song being played. For this version of the Display the composition of the formation and sequence of presentation from beginning to end consists of: Solo Fox in - Early Respect - Mars, Formations and Songs (Tentative according to Duration and Event) - Final Respect - Solo Fox Out. The types of musical instruments presented from the defile and display versions consist of: 1) Command Sticks, 2) Types of melodic musical instruments consisting of Trumpets, Mellophone, Bellyra, and Marching Bell, 3) Types of rhythmic musical instruments, namely: Drum Strings , Tenor Drum and Bass Drum, and 4) Flag (Flag).Keywords : Presentation Form, DrumbandAbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan Bentuk Penyajian Drumband SMA Negeri 3 Unggulan Kayuagung Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, Bentuk Penyajian Drumband SMA Negeri 3 Unggulan Kayuagung Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir ini terbagi menjadi dua (2) versi yaitu Defile dan Display.Urutan penyajiannya terdiri dari Bagian awal (Pampare), Bagian Tengah (Mars dan Lagu) dan Bagian akhir (Turun alat). Sedangkan Display dalam istilah Drumband SMA Negeri 3 Unggulan Kayuagung adalah Bentuk Penyajian Drumband yang memainkan satu atau beberapa lagu dengan menggunakan sejumlah kombinasi alat musik pada halaman Out door (Panggung terbuka) atau In door (Panggung Arena) dalam barisan yang membentuk formasi dengan polanya yang senantiasa berubah-ubah sesuai dengan alur koreografi terhadap lagu yang dimainkan. Untuk versi Display ini susunan formasi dan Urutan penyajiannya dari awal sampai akhir terdiri dari: Solo fox in ? Penghormatan awal ? Mars, Formasi dan lagu (Tentatif sesuai dengan Durasi dan Event) ? Penghormatan akhir - Solo Fox Out. Adapun jenis-jenis alat musik yang disajikan dari versi defile dan display tersebut terdiri dari: 1) Tongkat Komando, 2) Jenis alat musik melodis terdiri dari Terompet, Mellophone, Bellyra, dan Marching Bell, 3) Jenis alat musik ritmis yaitu: Senar Drum, Tenor Drum dan Bass Drum, dan 4) Flag (Bendera). Kata kunci  : Bentuk Penyajian, Drumband

Abstract

AbstractIn an advertisement sometimes there is a meaning that is presented not straightforward. Every TVC that uses real human talent cannot be separated from the camera's perspective. THE IMPORTANCE OF CAMERA VIEWS ON VIDEO MEDIA ADVERTISING examines the relationship of camera placement (angle) in influencing the message conveyed by a TVC and how cinematography is used as visual rhetoric. The study was conducted qualitatively with a semiotic film analysis approach. Data THE IMPORTANCE OF CAMERA VIEWS ON VIDEO MEDIA ADS is grouped into 4 structures, namely Visual Structure, Verbal Structure (Language, Character, Settings, Time), Narrative Structure and Audio Structure. Diachronic analysis using signifier (sign) and signified (sign) views. Some types of angles are Extreme Long Shot (ELS), Very Long Shot (VLS), Long Shot (LS), Medium Long Shot (MLS), Medium Shot (MS), Medium Close Up (MCU), Close Up (CU), Big Close Up (BCU), Low Angle Shot, Eye Level Shot. The selection of the selected images to be analyzed is carried out on the following basis: (1) Selecting an image according to the type of camera angle. (2) Sort images according to the type of camera angle. (3) Analyze each film and the impression built from each camera's perspective. (4) Comparing the impressions of the two analyzes. (5) Explain the reasons for the different impressions that arise, when the viewpoint of the camera is the same but the impression obtained is different. Setiap TVC yang menggunakan talent manusia asli, tidak terlepas dari sudut pandang kamera. PENTINGNYA SUDUT PANDANG KAMERA PADA IKLAN MEDIA VIDEO menelaah hubungan peletakan kamera (angle) dalam mempengaruhi pesan yang disampaikan oleh sebuah TVC dan bagaimana sinematografi digunakan sebagai retorika visual. Kajian dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis semiotika film. Data PENTINGNYA SUDUT PANDANG KAMERA PADA IKLAN MEDIA VIDEO dikelompokan menjadi 4 struktur, yaitu Struktur Visual, Struktur Verbal ( Bahasa, Karakter, Setting, Waktu), Struktur Naratif dan Struktur Audio. Dianalisis secara diakronik dengan menggunakan pandangan signifier (penanda) dan signified (petanda). Beberapa jenis angle yaitu Extreme Long Shot (ELS), Very Long Shot (VLS), Long Shot (LS), Medium Long Shot (MLS), Medium Shot (MS), Medium Close Up (MCU), Close Up (CU), Big Close Up (BCU), Low Angle Shot, Eye Level Shot. Pemilihan gambar-gambar yang dipilih untuk dianalisa, dilakukan dengan dasar berikut: (1) Memilih gambar yang sesuai jenis sudut pandang kamera. (2) Mengurutkan gambar berdasarkan jenis sudut pandang kamera. (3) Menganalisis masing-masing film dan kesan yang dibangun dari masing-masing sudut pandang kamera. (4) Membandingkan kesan dari kedua analisis. (5) Menjelaskan sebab-sebab perbedaan kesan yang timbul, bila sudut pandang kamera sama tetapi kesan yang diperoleh berbeda. Sudut pandang kamera penting dalam menciptakan kesan-kesan tertentu,misalnya kesan horor.Kata kunci: iklan, semiotika, film, sinematografi

Abstract

AbstractThis article discusses the form and function of Dol music in Bengkulu city society. This study uses qualitative methods, data collection is done by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that Dol music is an important element integrated in the Tabot ritual procession in the city of Bengkulu. 3 Dol music reporters in carrying out Tabot rituals, namely tamatam, swena, and sweri. The role of Dol music in the procession is to express the musical spirit of ritua tabot namely struggle, war and sadness. The existence of Dol music performance both in the context of Tabot rituals, as well as its development outside the Tabot event contest, has important values and functions for the community namely; 1) Functioning as entertainment for the community, 2) The function of emotional disclosure, seen from the emotional overflow of players in the ?beruji Dol? 3) functions as a ratification of social institutions, in this case Dol music is an important requirement in the Tabot ceremony, 4) symbolic function, as a symbol manifested through musical aspects expressing sadness or the spirit of warfare, 5) the function of community integration, uniting the community in togetherness and being involved in the wisdom of the Tabot ceremony, and 6) the function of cultural continuity; the existence of Dol music as a form of effort to preserve and strengthen the cultural identity of the people of Bengkulu city.Keywords : Dol music, Tabot Rital, Form, FunctionAbstractArtikel ini membahas tentang bentuk dan fungsi musik Dol dalam kehidupan masyarakat kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Permasalahan dibahas melalui deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa musik Dol merupakan unsur penting yang terintegrasi dalam prosesi upacara Tabot di kota Bengkulu. Terdapat 3 reportoar musik Dol dalam pelaksanaan upacara Tabot yakni tamatam, swena, dan sweri. Adapun  peran musik Dol pada prosesi tersebut adalah mengekspresikan secara musikal spirit dari upacara yakni perjuangan, perperangan dan kesedihan. Keberadaan seni pertunjukan musik Dol baik dalam konteks ritual Tabot, maupun perkembangnganya diluar kontes uapacara Tabot, memiliki nilai dan fungsi penting bagi masyarakatnya yakni; 1) Berfungsi Sebagai hiburan bagi masyarakat, 2)Fungsi pengungkapan emosional, terlihat dari peluapan emosional pemain pada prosesi ?beruji Dol? 3) berfungsi sebagai pengesah lembaga sosial, dalam hal ini musik Dol merupakan syarat penting dalam upacara Tabot, 4) fungsi perlambangan, sebagai simbol yang diwujudkan melalui aspek musikal yang mengekspresikan kesedihan ataupun spirit perperangan, 5) fungsi pengintegrasian masyarakat, menyatukan masyarakat dalam kebersamaan dan terlibat dalam hikmatnya upacara Tabot, dan 6) fungsi kesenambungan budaya; eksistensi musik Dol sebagai bentuk usaha pelestarian dan penguatan idenitas budaya masyarakat kota Bengkulu.Kata kunci : Musik Dol, upacara Tabot, Bentuk, Fungsi

Abstract

Dinda Bestari Traditional Dance Studio is a dance studio that teaches traditional dance, dance creation and contemporary dance. The studio also teaches children's dance and opens special classes for children. In this studio, students who are not only children and adolescents, but there are also adults. This research aims to describe the management of Dinda Bestari Traditional Dance Studio, which is domiciled in the City of Palembang, South Sumatra, which implements management functions in all aspects of studio activities including planning , organizing, implementing and controlling. This research applies a qualitative approach. The research subject is myself as the owner, founder and at the same time the manager of this studio. The object of this research is the Dinda Bestari Traditional Dance Studio in Palembang which includes, its background and management system applied. Data collection techniques carried out in three ways, namely participant observe, interview and documentation. In this study using a human instrument that is the researcher himself who acts as an instrument, serves to determine the focus of research, choose informants as sources of data, collect data, assess data quality, analyze data, interpret data, and make conclusions on its findings. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data description and conclusion drawing. The data validity test in this study uses the data triangulation method. The results of this study describe that the Dinda Bestari Traditional Dance Studio uses management functions as (1) planning, (2) organizing, (3) acting (Actuating), and (4) controlling (Controlling).

Abstract

The research focused is on bamboo crafts in Nagari Kumanis, Sijunjung Regency, about the use of bamboo material as a potential product using a design strategy. Bamboo production areas in West Sumatra are mostly produced in Sumpur Kudus district in Nagari Tanjung Bonai Aur and Kumanis, Sijunjung Regency. Nagari has a group called Talago Bamboo Crafts. One of the bamboo handicraft centers that has long been developing in West Sumatra is the Tanjung Bonai Aur and Kumanis bamboo crafts. It is known that bamboo crafts in Kumanis nagari are quite unique in terms of technical aspects, but in the aspect of design strategies and market strategies of bamboo products have not been explored properly. So that the economic and production cycle moves in place. Bamboo plantations in West Sumatra belong to communities that are managed independently by the population. Bamboo in the Kumanis nagari community is important by the economic wheel and their economic bamboo efforts as a side job. In fact, Minang residents already have a bamboo garden that is indirectly as a bamboo farmer. This is an opportunity for writers in this design project to provide ideas and design ideas to communities and small industries (homeindustry). In fact, bamboo material has not been specially processed for product design, especially for bamboo product design and Design Strategies. the problem of this research is how to improve, process and utilize bamboo material as one of the development of interior complementary designs and in accordance with market needs and tastes.

Abstract

Batak itself has Patrilineal kinship system. in the Patrilineal community structure based on the father lineage (male), the descendant of the father (male) is considered to have a higher position and his rights will also get more. This brief explanation of the artist's background has become a reference to be developed in interpreting the work analyzed later. Meanings and messages to be conveyed visible from the figure of a mother who was carrying her child. Mothers are women who do not get the highest place among the Batak tribe, so the inheritance belongs entirely to men. The suffering of women is illustrated by the expression of a mother on this work that suffers with an open mouth. Open mouth is part of the complexity of this work because it has the meaning and meaning of a mother who wants to ask for help when a mother is left by the men.
