Abstract

AbstractThe use of waste cooking oil as raw material for biodiesel is very advantageous in terms of health and also in terms of process. The process of transesterification reaction with an alkali catalyst with NaOH or KOH to produce quality products with excellent biodiesel. The research objective is to find out how to increase the influence of methanol concentration on the quality of biodiesel as determined by ASTM or EN. For all comparisons methanol concentration the result showed of acid number, viscosity and density tends to constant with increasing concentration of methanol, while the water content and methanol content increased slowly with increasing concentrations of methanol and this occurs for both types of catalyst used.Keywords : waste cooking oil, quality of biodiesel, methanol consentration Abstrak Minyak goreng bekas (jelantah) merupakan minyak goreng yang telah mengalami oksidasi selama proses penggunaannya, sehingga tidak aman bagi kesehatan bila terus digunakan. Salah satu pemanfaatan minyak jelantah adalah untuk pembuatan biodiesel. Biodiesel adalah bioenergi atau bahan bakar nabati yang dibuat dari minyak nabati (lemak hewani) melalui proses transesterifikasi. Transesterifikasi  adalah proses reaksi (trigliserida) yang terkandung dalam minyak direaksikan dengan metanol dan dibantu oleh katalis alkali, sehingga menghasilkan alky ester (biodiesel). Tujuan penelitian adalah menentukan kondisi optimum pada katalis NaOH dan KOH dalam mendapatkan produk biodiesel yang berkualitas pada suhu 60-650C yaitu pada katalis KOH dengan FFA 0,2048, water content 0,317, metanol content 0,317, angka asam 0,019635, densitas 0,85806, viskositas 4,5684, konversi 98,89%,  dan yield 90%.Kata kunci : Biodiesel,  transesterifikasi,  methanol dan water content, angka asam,  viskositas, densitas, yield

Abstract

The tourism sector of Batu City has great potential to be a major source of local revenue. However, there is a decline in the number of tourists from 2009-2012 with an average of 13% annually. It needs special attention because it indicates saturation to travel in Batu City. The other problems are the average length of stay of tourists in Batu is low at between 1.35 to 1.67 days. Therefore, in the development of the tourism, Batu City needs strategies to improve competitiveness focusing on the determinant factors.This study aims to determine the determinant factors of destination competitivenessbased on the determinants based on the assessment of the experts using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP).In this study, theoretical base used is a destination competitiveness’s model by Dwyer (2003). This model is the development of competitiveness’s model such as Porter's Diamond and destination competitiveness’s model by Crouch and Ritchie (1999).Based on the research, there are five determinant destination competitiveness factors, namely (1) Natural, (2) Artificial tourism, (3) Range of tourism activities, (4) Human Resources Development, and (5) Environmental Management.  Keywords: Destination Competitiveness, Tourism Destinations, Determinants Factors, AHP

Abstract

AbstractThe Government of Palembang City establishes Kawasan Siap Bangun (Kasiba) –Lingkungan Siap Bangun (Lisiba) as a strategic area in the framework of efforts equitable development and provision of settlement. As a new growth pole, Kasiba-Lisiba is a delineation area in Spatial Planning (RTRW) of Palembang City. As a new growth center, Kasiba-Lisiba does not base on economic and industrial activity centers like the other urban growth centers, but basing on settlements. The development of Kasiba-Lisiba Talang Kelapa in Palembang city is considered quite successful, with the effect of land use change from vacant land into built up area both in the region itself and the surrounding area. The purpose of this study is to describe the effect of Kasiba-Lisiba's established as a new growth center with a settlement base on urban development. The study used quantitative-qualitative deductive method (mix method), and analysis method used descriptive quantitative analysis. The result of the analysis shows that the determination of Kasiba-Lisiba influences the development of the city that viewed from the percentage of built up area in three sub-districts in the north of Palembang City which increased from 18.20% to 47.84% after establishment. The value of Nett Migration Rate (NMR in the region also increased from -0.2 to 1.06. In the corridor liaison area-city center also increased the rate of land use change from 8.10% to 11.83%. Determination of Kasiba-Lisiba also affected the increase of housing in the area from 3 housing to 12 new housing in the period after the determination.Keyword : Kasiba-Lisiba, urban development, growth pole. AbstrakPemerintah Kota Palembang menetapkan Kawasan Siap Bangun (Kasiba)-Lingkungan Siap Bangun (Lisiba) sebagai kawasan strategis dalam rangka upaya pemerataan pembangunan dan penyediaan perumukiman. Sebagai kutub pertumbuhan baru, Kasiba-Lisiba merupakan kawasan hasil deliniasi pada Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah (RTRW) Kota Palembang. Sebagai pusat pertumbuhan baru, Kasiba-Lisiba tidak mendasarkan pada pusat kegiatan ekonomi dan industri seperti pusat-pusat pertumbuhan kota lainnya, namun mendasarkan pada permukiman. Pengembangan Kasiba-Lisiba Talang Kelapa di Kota Palembang dinilai cukup berhasil, dengan adanya pengaruh perubahan penggunaan lahan dari lahan tak terbangun menjadi lahan terbangun baik di kawasan itu sendiri maupun wilayah sekitarnya. Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk mendiskripsikan pengaruh penetapan Kasiba-Lisiba sebagai pusat pertumbuhan baru dengan basis permukiman terhadap perkembangan kota. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deduktif  kuantitatif-kualitatif (mix method). Analisa yang digunakan menggunakan analisa deskriptif kuantitatif.  Hasil dari analisis menunjukkan penetapan Kasiba-Lisiba berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan kota apabila dilihat dari persentase luas lahan terbangun di tiga kecamatan di bagaian utara Kota Palembang yang meningkat dari 18,20% menjadi 47,84% setelah penetapan. Nilai Nett Migration Rate (NMR) setelah penetapan di kawasan juga mengalami peningkatan dari -0,2 menjadi 1,06. Pada koriodor penghubung kawasan-pusat kota juga mengalami peningkatan laju perubahan dari 8,10% menjadi 11,83%. Penetapan Kasiba-Lisiba juga berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan jumlah perumahan di kawasan dari 3 perumahan sebelum penetapan meningkat menjadi 12 perumahan baru pada periode setelah penetapan.Kata kunci : Kasiba-Lisiba, perkembangan kota, kutub pertumbuhan.

Abstract

According to Law Decree No. 28 of 2002 that the building is important as a man carries out its activities in order to achieve various objectives that support the realization of national development goals. Given the importance of the office building, the construction of office buildings should be viewed from several sides. These include a review of the feasibility of the construction of the building, in conjunction denagan classification of office buildings in accordance with the level of service and the ability to receive the load. Unlike the construction of private buildings in which the amount of revenue per year from the building in question can be calculated, whereas in building the State, the value of the advantages seen from the benefits received by the public of the existence of the building and the performance of the agency, the profit received by the government or the State are social benefits itangible. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of building the State BPBDs Pagar Alam based disaster mitigation management. The method used in this study using spatial analysis, DaLA (Damage and Loss Assessment), and the method of SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis to determine the feasibility of recommendations for the construction of state buildings. The results of the feasibility analysis of investment based methods DaLA known that the payback period occurred in the year to 8 under the assumption that acceptance comes from the local budget, while expenditure is the amount of compensation issued by the State disaster. Based on the analysis of spatial planning both sites located outside the district administrative center. Meanwhile, if viewed from the analysis of disaster-prone building at the site suggested BPBDs Atung Youngest who are outside the danger zone of the mountain api.berdasarkan SWOT analysis is known that the location in the Village of Ulu Rurah more recommended for building construction BPBDs. Abstract

Residential development in Palembang city is not a simple problem, because residential development need  always grows and population growth increases every year,  but the supply of land for residential development is limited. The research shows that residential developers have noticed the three factors of land provision for residential development. Based on the physical aspect, the wide area of residential is 4 hectare, and land designation status  is garden soil. The easy access and appropriateness  to the RTRW are the considerations of developers for building the residence. Based on the institutional aspect, the status of land rights is property rights by way of purchase. Moreover, land supply through land bank is assessed helping the residential developer. Local governments sometimes help the developers, but the developers have difficulty in particular section permits the acquisition of development principles at a location due to government bureaucracy and complex rule. Based on the economic aspect, land prices are cheap and profitable and they become the reasons for choosing the location of residential developers.  The price of land per meter2 at the time of purchase was relatively high, indicating the residential developers in Palembang city are very effective in raising the economic of land value. Of the three aspects, the economy aspect is prioritized by residential developers, because residential developers as enterpreneurs have an orientation to get the profit.Keywords: Development, Residential Developer

Abstract

ABSTRACTAs one country that has 83 volcanoes that are still active, Indonesia has natural resources in the form of volcanic ash which is pozzolan. In addition Indonesia is also a vast country so to support the equitable distribution of supporting facilities such as roads to support the development process. In the implementation of road construction is often found soil conditions that have low bearing capacity. Therefore, it is necessary to handle the subgrade of road that has low carrying capacity through stabilization with agent material.One material that meets the pozzolan material is volcanic ash. Volcanic ash of Mount Merapi has pozzolanik nature that is the nature of materials that will wake solid mass that increases harder as time increases and is difficult to dissolve in water when reacted with CaO contained in clay and lime.The study was conducted with a mixture of volcanic soil with 14 days of curing. Through triaxial testing of the efective confining pressure (σ0) of 547 kN / m2 with void ratio  (e) of 1,059. The calculation of shear modulus (Gmax) was done by empirical formula proposed by Zen et al (1978) and obtained Gmax value of 134,044 Mpa as the biggest shear modulus with 25% volcanic ash and 5% lime.Keywords : pozzolan, stabilization, effective confining pressure, void ratioABSTRAKSebagai salah satu negara yang memiliki banyak gunung api yang masih aktif, Indonesia memiliki sumber daya alam berupa abu vulkanik yang melimpah dan bersifat pozzolan. Selain itu indonesia juga merupakan negara yang luas sehingga untuk menunjang pemerataan pembangunan diperlukan sarana penunjang berupa jalan untuk mendukung proses pembangunan. Dalam pelaksanaan pembangunan jalan sering dijumpai kondisi tanah yang memiliki daya dukung rendah. Oleh karena itu perlu penanganan terhadap tanah lunak yang memiliki daya dukung rendah melalui stabilisasi dengan bahan tambah. Salah satu material yang memenuhi material pozzolan adalah abu vulkanik. Abu vulkanik Gunung Merapi mempunyai sifat pozzolanik yaitu sifat bahan yang akan membentuk massa padat yang bertambah keras seiring bertambahnya waktu dan sukar larut dalam air apabila bereaksi dengan CaO yang terdapat pada lempung dan kapur. Penelitian dilakukan dengan campuran tanah-abu vulkanik dengan pemeraman 14 hari. Variasi kadar campuran yang diberikan adalah 0%, 20%, 25%, dan 30%. Selain itu dilakukan penambahan kapur 5% yang bertujuan  memberikan ikatan yang baik apabila dicampur dengan tanah lempung.Melalui pengujian triaksial UU diperoleh tahanan kekang efektif (σ0)sebesar360kN/m2  dengan angka pori (e) sebesar  1,059. Perhitungan modulus geser (Gmax) dilakukan dengan rumus empiris yang diusulkan Zen dkk (1978) dan diperoleh nilai Gmax sebesar 134,044 Mpa sebagai modulus geser terbesar dengan kadar abu vulkanik 25% dan kapur 5%.Kata kunci : pozzolan, stabilisasi , tahanan kekang efektif, angka pori

Abstract

Housing construction by private developers in Kelurahan Bukit Lama began in 1986 with the construction of Perumahan Poligon. Since then, housing construction continues in Kelurahan Bukit Lama. Residential housing is developed by private developers with the goal to the middle to the top. At the beginning, it is built a large-scale housing or housing that has numbers of units but this time more housing developments leading to small-scale housing. Small scale housing developments is seen in three aspects; growth, spatial, and actors. These three aspect are changed in different time unit. Small-scale residential development is influenced by factors of housing location. Housing location factors are seen from developer and buyer.Keywords: development, factors

Abstract

Abstract Musi Rawas Regency is the largest fish producer in South Sumatra Province. Based on the Musi Rawas regency RTRW, there are 3 sub-districts that can be developed into integrated fisheries areas, namely Muara Beliti, Tugumulyo, and Purwodadi. According to a mapping survey, SWOT analysis and technical analysis of the three sub-district locations were held found that Muara Beliti  the location was still quiet from the population and far from the fishery center. But technically, the location that has been prepared, and it is very suitable with the RTRW of Musi Rawas Regency. There are already general facilities, has a hard soil structure, and the area of land that can be used is around 5.7 Hectare. The location of Purwodadi is in the middle of the city and on the edge of a big road. However, at this location there is a public market, and most of the land plans that will be used for the development of the community-owned land. The land area is around 1.9 Ha, so it is feared that it will create new problems if it is to be developed in the future.Tthe location in Tugumulyo area is located on inter-provincial road which is located in the middle of the sub-district, near the community housing, the planned land area is around 3.2 Ha, and there are drainage network on the edge and around the area. So, The most suitable for the development of the minnbisnis area in Musi Rawas Regency is in Tugumulyo.Keywords : Minapolitan Area, Mapping Survey, SWOT Analysis Abstrak Kabupaten Musi Rawas adalah penghasil ikan terbesar di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Oleh karena itu kawasan minapolitan sangat bagus untuk dikembangkan di kabupaten ini. Berdasarkan RTRW Kabupaten Musi Rawas, ada 3 kecamatan yang bisa dikembangkan menjadi kawasan perikanan terpadu, yaitu Muara Beliti, Tugumulyo, dan Purwodadi. Menurut survei pemetaan, analisis SWOT dan analisis teknis dari tiga lokasi kecamatan yang telah dilaksanakan didapatkan bahwa kecamatan Muara Beliti lokasinya masih sepi dari penduduk dan jauh dari pusat perikanan. Namun secara teknis, lokasi di Kecamatan ini memang disiapkan untuk pengembangan, dan sangat sesuai dengan RTRW Kabupaten Musi Rawas. Sudah ada fasilitas umum, memiliki struktur tanah yang keras, dan luas lahan yang bisa digunakan adalah sekitar 5,7 Hektar. Untuk kecamatan Purwodadi, lokasinya di tengah kota dan di pinggir jalan besar. Namun, di lokasi ini ada pasar umum, dan sebagian besar rencana lahan yang akan digunakan untuk pengembangan lahan milik masyarakat. Luas lahan sekitar 1,9 Ha, sehingga dikhawatirkan akan menciptakan masalah baru jika ingin dikembangkan di masa depan. Sedangkan di Kecamatan Tugumulyo, lokasi untuk pengembangan daerah minabisnis terletak di sisi jalan besar (jalan antar provinsi) yang terletak di tengah kecamatan, tanahnya terletak di lokasi yang berlawanan dengan masyarakat. perumahan, luas lahan yang direncanakan adalah sekitar 3,2 Ha, dan ada jaringan drainase di tepi dan di sekitar area. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa lokasi yang paling cocok untuk pengembangan kawasan minabisnis di Kabupaten Musi Rawas berada di lokasi di Kecamatan Tugumulyo.Kata kunci : Area Minapolitan, Survey Pemetaan, Analisa SWOT

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to create a model of Mean Sea Level (MSL). MSL modeling is done by determining Sea Surface Height (SSH) using Envisat altimetry satellite data with research sites in the sea south of Java. Evaluation is done by looking at the standard deviation of MLR models produced. The results showed that the standard deviation value 0 s.d. 0,999 m have the most amount of data, as many as 840 points, or about 94.49%. While the standard deviation value over 2 m have the least amount of data, as many as 18 points, or about 2.02%. While the remaining 3.49% is the standard deviation value between 1 s.d. 2 m.Keywords :MSL, SSH, Envisat.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the geodetic coordinates Tidal BM points of Java. Determinationof the coordinates is done by GPS measurements at this points for 3 days. Accuracy of the data processing shownon the value of the standard deviation of latitude (φ), longitude (λ), and ellipsoid height (h). The Results of dataprocessing showed that latitude coordinates has range accuracy from 1.84 x 1.84 x 10-6 sec to 10-6 sec. Longitudecoordinates has range accuracy from 1.85 x 1.94 x 10-6 sec to 10-6 sec. While the ellipsoid height has rangeaccuracy from 9 to 12 cm. Observation point that has the highest accuracy of ellipsoid high is Sunda Kelapa, witha level of accuracy of 9.7 cm, while the observation point that has the lowest of accuracy ellipsoid high is Prigi,with a level of accuracy of 12 cm.
