Abstract

This research tries to found out the effect from the marketing mix of Bunda Mulia University to student’s decision to college in Bunda Mulia University. Students in generally said that Bunda Mulia University already has sufficient marketing mix policy. This opinion arose from the academic facilities and services. From correlation analysis, this research found that there are two variables of marketing mix which has significant effect to student’s decision. Those variables are, academic facilities and services and promotion.This research is conducted to find out the effect of the marketing mix of Bunda Mulia University onto each student’s decision to enroll in Bunda Mulia University. In general, the students stated that Bunda Mulia University already had sufficient marketing mix policy. From the correlation analysis, this research found that there are two variables of marketing mix-which have the significant effect onto the student’s decision. Abstract

The purpose of the research is to integrate relevant literature theory and develop a comprehensive research model of service quality to procure customer satisfaction. In this research, we present a holistic systems approach that utilizes total quality management decision in a seamless fashion to improve satisfaction and perception related to the service provided by Universitas Bunda Mulia to the students, students parents, other universities movement students, and other students. At the same time, other university departments’ important objectives, such as the implementation of an ongoing in-house procedure that supports its continuous improvement program, are taken into account. In this research, results that document the improved service quality system performance to procure customer satisfaction are further tested for their reliability and validity. Therefore, the result will be the proper and true relationship between customer satisfaction and perceived service quality that could be used either for Universitas Bunda Mulia or other universities and eduction institutions. Conceptual and managerial implications of the findings should be further discussed by Universitas Bunda Mulia to procure and achieve a much better performance in the next coming years.Key Words- Customer, Satisfaction, and Quality

Abstract

The background of this research on Syariah banking is based on the opinion and supposition that the interest given by conventional banking is a usury. As can be seen on the national and regional development on Syariah Banking, it is shown that the public interest in Syariah Banking is very high. This research is conducted mainly in the city of Pekanbaru on Bank Riau Syariah Pekanbaru Branch. The purpose of this research is to find out the factors often influencing the public interest in saving their money on Bank Riau Syariah. There are primary and secondary used in this research. The primary data is directly acquired from the main resources through the use of questionnaire. The secondary data used in this research is gathered with the help from Bank Riau Syariah Pekanbaru Branch, and the organizational structure of said bank. The method used in analysing the data of the research is a descriptive method which is done by following the procedure of solving the problem being investigated and by describing the state of the object of the research at the time of the research, based on the fact and reality. Then, the data collected is organized and arranged in the form of tables to be later elaborated and analysed. The result of the research shows that the dominant factors in influencing the public interest in saving their money in Bank Riau Syariah Pekanbaru Branch is to avoid act of committing usury. The other factors are profit and the belief that saving in a Syariah Bank is one form of confirming the Islamic Syariah. Moreover, there are also other factors influencing the public interest in saving in a Syariah Bank, such as accessibility, security, and other non-related factors such as the good service provided by the bank in serving its customer. Key Words- Syariah Bank, Saving, Customer

Abstract

Change Management is one of the important thing to concern if the organization wants to survive in industry. But sometimes, management needs to face the resistancy of the it change. It’s popular with the ‘resistance to change’ phrase. Works satisfaction will influenced the performance of the employe, and finaly will influenced performance of the organization. In University, lecturer performance absolutely influenced the university it’s self. Academic is a main core of University, based on that this research wants to find out, how the lecturer feels about the change management action by Bunda Mulia University. The result of the research will provide a basic information about what lecturer feel and how that’s change affected their performances. Abstract

In the beginning of the year, stock’s return has an abnormal return. Small capital stocks produce better return than the large capital stocks which listed in Bursa Efek Jakarta (BEJ). This anomaly is known as January Effect. That’s why, when turn over especially occurs in the beginning of trading market activity, many investor will invest their assets in small capital stocks. This research tries to found out whether there is or there isn’t January effect anomaly in Bursa Efek Jakarta in 2004 till 2007. This research uses non probability method which choses 30 stocks in each category. The significance level of the research is always bigger than 0.05 and the result shows us that there is no January effect in Bursa Efek Jakarta (BEJ) from 2004 till 2007. Key Words- Return, January Effect. Abstract

The increasing of private vehicles and public transportation are the main cause of traffic jammed on the road. The use of public vehicles in Pekanbaru city is higher than the transportation provided by urban council through Dinas Lalu Lintas Transportasi Jalan Raya (DLLAJR). The aim of this paper is to do a research on public transportation system (oplet, ojek, city bus, taxi), also, to analyse which transportation system that have been chosen by consumer in Pekanbaru. The result shows that people are prefer to use oplet and city bus as their transportation even though it has high risk of safety and danger to them. Most people in town has their own vehicles so that the use of public transportation only for temporary period and it usually used by students who has low income. This study finally found that the ojek services are the only transportation system that can arrive to the destination in short time and it can access anywhere that cannot be accessed by other transportation system. The low cost of ojek services is the main reason that people choose it as their transportation. It is obviously shows that the use of transportation system in Pekanbaru is bused on efficiency and punctuality of the public transportation.Key WordsPublic Transportation, Efficiency, City Service
