Abstract

The quality of education can be said to be a picture of the merits of a school. Schools are considered qualified if they succeed in achieving their educational goals. Related to the effectiveness of educational goals, the managerial competence of madrasa heads plays a very important role. This research observes a link between managerial competence and the quality of education so that the problem in this research can be formulated as follows, How is the Managerial Competence of Madrasah Principals in Improving the Quality of Education in State Madrasah Aliyah (MAN) 4 Kebumen? This type of research is qualitative research. There are two kinds of data sources in this study, namely primary data sources and secondary data sources. Primary data sources include subjects, namely school principals, teachers and staff of MAN 4 Kebumen employees, while secondary data sources include documents, written notes related to the research focus. Data collection techniques by way of interviews, observation, and documentation. The data obtained during the research were analyzed by means of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. While the data validity test was carried out with persistence and triangulation observations. The triangulation used in this research is source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the managerial skills of the Madrasah MAN 4 Kebumen in improving the quality of education have several indicators, namely, Technical Skills, Human Skills, Conceptual Skills. (1) In mastering the technical skills of the madrasah principal to improve the quality of education the madrasah principal is armed with his experience through the trainings he attends and the madrasah principal makes use of school facilities and infrastructure such as the use of LCDs during learning. (2) The madrasa principal's human relations skills in improving the quality of education are reflected in establishing effective communication with teachers. (3) The conceptual skill of the madrasa head in improving the quality of education is by carrying out clear planning contained in the vision, mission and objectives of the madrasa.

Abstract

The success of mental education in schools/madrasas is determined by its management, especially mental education management. Management of mental education is a planned effort to make students confident, brave, mentally strong and internalize values ​​so that students are able to grow their distinctive mentality which consists of planning, organizing, implementing and supervising processes. Madrasah Aliyah Plus Nururrohmah Tambaksari Kuwarasan Kebumen is a private secondary formal education institution under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion in Kebumen Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the management of mental education at Madrasah Aliyah Plus Nururrohmah Tambaksari Kuwarasan Kebumen. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected from these techniques were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and verification (conclusion). Based on the results of the analysis, it can be found that the implementation of mental education at Madrasah Aliyah Plus Nururrohmah Tambaksari Kuwarasan Kebumen is carried out in every school/madrasah activity through: (1) learning activities, (2) extracurricular activities, and (3) habituation activities. Mental Education Management at Madrasah Aliyah Plus Nururrohmah Tambaksari Kuwarasan Kebumen consists of: (1) mental education planning; (2) organizing mental education; (3) implementation of mental education; and (4) supervision of mental education. Planning for mental education includes: (1) at the beginning of a new school year; (2) based on the school's vision and mission; (3) compiling programs; (4) disseminated to madrasa residents; (5) mental values ​​are integrated into lesson plans; (6) compiling extracurricular activity programs and habituation activities. Organizing mental education includes: (1) division of tasks for teachers who handle learning; (2) division of tasks for supervising teachers for extracurricular activities; (3) form the person in charge of habituation activities. The implementation of mental education includes: (1) learning activities; (2) extracurricular activities; (3) habituation activities. Supervision of mental education includes: (1) involving all components of the school; (2) observing the behavior of students; (3) working with teachers, homeroom teachers, Counseling (BK) teachers, and parents to monitor students' mental development.

Abstract

This research is based on the importance of the quality of learning. In this regard, this study aims to determine the quality management of learning at Muhammadiyah Gombong Kebumen Creative Elementary School. This study uses qualitative research that focuses on natural empirical phenomena and is analyzed using scientific logic. The data collection techniques in this study were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation and triangulation. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and data verification then formulating conclusions on the results of the research conducted. The results of this study indicate that the quality management of learning in Muhammadiyah Gombong Creative Elementary School starts from: (1) The teacher plans the lesson by preparing the syllabus, lesson plans, teaching materials, and evaluation tools. (2) Implementation of the standard learning process is carried out by the teacher by implementing content standards and all lesson plans. (3) Evaluation of the learning process includes: evaluation of planning, learning processes, and learning outcomes. (4) Follow-up of the learning process includes: follow-up and improvement of syllabus, lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning evaluation tools, as well as follow-up of learning outcomes.

Abstract

Transformation is essentially turning potential into real energy. Madrasah principals who are able to carry out leadership transformations mean that they can turn the potential of their institutions into energy to improve the quality of educational processes and outputs. This study aims to describe and analyze the transformational leadership of the Madrasah Principal at MI Muhammadiyah Madureso. This research is a qualitative descriptive study by taking MI Muhammadiyah Madreso. Data collection techniques used observation, documentation and interviews, data validity used triangulation techniques, and data analysis was carried out by data collection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show: (1) The leadership of the head of MI Muhammadiyah Madureso Kuwarasan Kebumen has and implements Idealized Influence. The behavior of the madrasah head can be used as an example for madrasah residents so that it creates respect, and in his daily life can provide motivation and self-confidence to his subordinates. The principal of the madrasah is also able to give empathy to his subordinates. (2) Head of MI Muhammadiyah Madureso Kuwarasan Kebumen owns and implements Inspirational Motivation. The behavior of the madrasa head is able to motivate and inspire his subordinates to continue to develop themselves for the advancement of education. The head of the madrasa always gives new job challenges and is a pioneer of good for the madrasa residents. (3) Head of MI Muhammadiyah Madureso Kuwarasan Kebumen owns and implements Intellectual Stimulation. The behavior of the madrasa head is based on knowledge that is able to carry out innovations to improve the quality of madrasas. The principal of the madrasa always follows changes by behaving productively, being able to explore creative ideas and solutions from his subordinates. (4) Head of MI Muhammadiyah Madureso Kuwarasan Kebumen owns and implements Individual Consideration. The madrasa head always identifies the needs and recognizes the abilities of his subordinates, inspires learning enthusiasm and provides opportunities to develop his abilities, also always listens to subordinates' complaints and delegates some of the tasks and authority to his subordinates.

Abstract

Examining the situational leadership style of madrasa principals, especially in increasing the professionalism of teachers at MTs Al Iman Bulus, Gebang Purworejo, who are required to make continuous efforts to improve the quality of their education. This leadership is carried out with a commitment to the Improvement Improvement program carried out by professional teachers in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of situational leadership of madrasa principals which lead to leadership styles, telling styles, selling styles, participating styles, and delegating styles, as an effort to improve teacher professionalism. This research was conducted using qualitative. The subjects of this study were school principals, teachers and students. Data collection techniques from this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the head of MTs Al Iman Bulus Gebang Purworejo has implemented a situational leadership style that has fulfilled four indicators. This is evidenced by the results of the research: First, the head of the madrasah has implemented the Telling style as evidenced by 1) giving jobs to teachers providing giving, and not supporting; 2) give directions before doing work. Second, the head of the madrasa has approved the Selling style as evidenced by 1) making clear rules; 2) provide opportunities for teachers to be invited; 3) madrasa principals apply democracy; 4) can accept suggestions from teachers; 5) provide motivation to subordinates in completing work; 6) give praise and incentives to teachers when completing work well. Third, the head of the madrasa has approved the Participating style as evidenced by: 1) the head of the madrasa is able to make decisions in accordance with the completion of work; 2) the madrasa head is active in various activities carried out by the community. Fourth, the madrasa head has implemented the Delegating style, which is evidenced through: 1) the madrasa head renews the work of teachers; 2) the madrasah head gives responsibility to the teacher in completing the work.

Abstract

This research is based on the importance of an internal education quality assurance system. In this regard, this study aims to determine the management of the internal quality assurance system of education at SMK N 2 Kebumen. This study uses qualitative research that focuses on natural empirical phenomena and is analyzed using scientific logic. The data collection techniques in this study were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation and triangulation. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and data verification then formulating conclusions on the results of the research conducted. There are four findings in this study, namely: (1) Internal Quality Assurance Planning at SMK N 2 Kebumen is carried out through three stages, namely: (a) setting quality standards, which refer to the 8 National Education Standards, (b) quality mapping, which based on the results of the School Self-Evaluation, and (c) preparation of a quality compliance plan, which is carried out with preparation prior to the preparation of the Medium Term Work Plan and Annual Work Plan; (2) Implementation of quality fulfillment at SMK N 2 Kebumen is carried out by fulfilling 8 National Education Standards. All components of the school have a high commitment in implementing quality compliance; (3) Quality Fulfillment Evaluation at SMK N 2 Kebumen is carried out through School Self-Evaluation. Beginning with compiling evaluation instruments and then forming an evaluation implementation team. The evaluation is carried out by identifying physical evidence of the condition of the school; (4) Quality Fulfillment Follow-up at SMK N 2 Kebumen is carried out by formulating recommendations for improvement. There are two types of actions taken based on the results achieved, namely: (a) Corrective Action and (b) Standardization Action. Follow-up of quality fulfillment at SMK N 2 Kebumen is a continuous cycle (Continuous Process Improvement).

Abstract

This research is based on the importance of the principal's leadership in improving teacher professionalism. In this regard, this study aims to determine the leadership of the principal in increasing teacher professionalism at SD IT Ulul Albab 01 Purworejo. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection uses interviews, observation, and documentation, and data validity uses triangulation, and data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study resulted in the following conclusions. (1) The principal has Interpersonal Roles in increasing teacher professionalism at the Ulul Albab 01 Islamic Elementary School, Purworejo. This is evident from the school principal who carries out the role of figurehead, leadership, and liaison; (2) The principal has Informational Roles in increasing teacher professionalism at Ulul Albab 01 Islamic Elementary School, Purworejo. This is evident from the school principal who carries out the role of monitor/supervisor, disseminator, and rapporteur; (3) Principals have Decisional Roles in increasing teacher professionalism at the Ulul Albab 01 Islamic Elementary School, Purworejo. This is evident from the school principal who carries out the role of entrepreneur, disturbance-handler, a negotiator role, and a resource allocator.

Abstract

This research is based on the importance of learning management in improving the quality of education. In this regard, this study aims to determine learning management in improving the quality of education at MI Takhassus Tahfidzul Qur'an Prapagkidul, Pituruh, Purworejo. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection uses interviews, observation, and documentation, and data validity uses triangulation, and data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study resulted in the following conclusions. (1) Learning planning at MI Takhassus Tahfidzul Qur'an Prapagkidul is formulated at the beginning of the school year by involving all management components (school committee, principal, teachers and employees) as a form of service for their presence in the madrasah; (2) Implementation of learning at MI Takhassus Tahfidzul Qur'an Prapagkidul applies a class teacher system and a system of study teachers (religious subjects, sports, tahfidz, English, abacus and cultural arts), while the methods used in the teaching and learning process include lecture method, question and answer method, discussion method, demonstration method, experimental method, assignment, direct practice and simulation adapted to the material being taught. The learning method was developed into a value-oriented (affective) teaching technique; (3) Supervision of learning at MI Takhassus Tahfidzul Qur'an Prapagkidul is carried out by the Head of the Madrasah to classes, the time is conditional for Mr or Mrs Teacher evenly from class 1 to class VI. Internal supervision of the implementation of the madrasah work program and evaluation which is carried out openly. The involvement of all components in the monitoring and evaluation of work programs has been proven capable of producing maximum performance for all components of the school; (4) Learning evaluation at MI Takhassus Tahfidzul Qur'an Prapagkidul is carried out after the learning activities are completed, with the aim of tracing, checking, searching and concluding the implementation includes cognitive aspects, affective aspects and psychomotor aspects and aspects of student behavior and not only assesses theoretically but practice. The forms of assessment are written tests, oral tests and practical tests, assignments, quizzes, group or individual work, assessment of work, assessment of student attitudes and behavior. The forms of test instruments that are often used are multiple choice, short answer descriptions and portfolios; (5) Learning reporting at MI Takhassus Prapagkidul is done as a form of personal and educational institution responsibility and commitment. The forms of reporting at MI Takhassus Tahfidzul Qur'an Prapagkidul are as follows: (a) Assessment reports by educators; (b) Assessment reporting by educational units; (c) Reporting of assessments by the government.

Abstract

In this regard, this study aims to determine the transformational leadership of madrasa heads in improving teacher performance at MI Sultan Agung Karangduwur, Ayah District, Kebumen Regency. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection used interviews, observation, and documentation, and the validity of the data used triangulation, and data analysis techniques included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study resulted in the following conclusions. (1) Head of MI Sultan Agung Karangduwur, Ayah, Kebumen owns and implements Idealized influence. The behavior of the madrasa head can be used as an example for madrasa residents. In his daily life, the principal can provide motivation and self-confidence to his subordinates. The principal of the madrasa is able to give empathy to his subordinates. (2) Head of MI Sultan Agung Karangduwur, Ayah, Kebumen owns and implements Inspirational influence. The principal of the madrasa always follows changes by behaving productively. The madrasa head is able to explore new ideas and creative solutions from his subordinates. (4) Head of MI Sultan Agung Karangduwur, Father, Kebumen owns and carries out Individualized consideration. The madrasa head always identifies the needs of his subordinates and recognizes the abilities of his subordinates. The principal of the madrasa evokes enthusiasm for learning and provides opportunities for his subordinates to develop their abilities. The madrasa head also listens to subordinates' complaints and delegates some of his authority to his subordinates.

Abstract

The education quality management system is implemented at MTs Negeri 8 Kebumen. One part of a formal institution that is required to make continuous efforts to improve the quality of education. The implementation of the education quality management system is carried out in seven lines consisting of curriculum, student affairs, facilities and infrastructure, public relations, library, administration, and counseling. Efforts to improve the quality of education are carried out by implementing several policies, namely: (1) Policy to improve the quality of education in the field of learning which is carried out through learning by implementing the Moving Class system, increasing IT mastery, developing the Internet/HOT SPOT network; (2) Policy to improve the quality of student education by optimizing extracurricular activity programs and increasing the internalization of entrepreneurship; (3) Policy to improve the quality of education in the field of personnel by implementing periodic and routine upgrading programs, training, seminars, and MGMP for teachers and education staff, as well as providing facilities and financial assistance for teachers to carry out PTK.
