Abstract

This paper delves into the contemporary relevance of Prophet Muhammad's teachings on neighborhood (Jar/Jeeran) within the framework of modern international relations. In today's interconnected world, global interactions are shaped by evolving norms and facilitated by advancements in transportation and communication technologies. This has led to the emergence of a global society or "global village," fostering increased people-to-people contact. Against this backdrop, the Islamic principle of Jar, emphasizing moral responsibilities and ethics towards neighbors, warrants analysis. Prophet Muhammad advocated for fostering positive relationships with neighbors regardless of their religious or ethnic background, emphasizing protection and providing financial and food assistance as examples of Islamic ethics. This paper seeks to elucidate the concept of Jar within the context of contemporary international society and explores the application of Islamic ethics towards neighbors in modern international relations.

Abstract

The study emerged from a doctoral thesis aimed at exploring internal security preservation in Namibia, a core mandate of the police force. It provides guidelines for crafting PhD frameworks in alignment with the internal security framework. The guidelines encompass various stages, including extensive literature review, contextualization to specific issues, component selection, assumption definition, framework naming, and acknowledgment of limitations. The paper underscores the importance of a thorough literature review to establish a foundational understanding, enabling critical analysis and substantiating framework development. Practical application and relevance to the research problem are emphasized. Mind mapping is employed to ensure coherence and differentiation from existing models. Naming the framework is deemed crucial, reflecting its primary concept. Acknowledging limitations fosters nuanced understanding and academic transparency. The "Framework for Performing Internal Security" integrates stakeholder collaboration, shared responsibility, and civil stakeholder training, addressing multifaceted challenges in internal security and offering insights for policing and security research.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to investigate the planning and implementation process of the MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) program in the Sociology Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The theories utilized to analyze learning management are Total Quality Management (TQM), and constructivism theory is employed to examine the implementation of learning in the context of MBKM. The results of this study indicate that the learning planning process in the MBKM Program at the Sociology Study Prcogram has not been optimally implemented by all parties involved in MBKM implementation. To enhance the quality of education within the MBKM program framework, clear preparation, synergy, regulations, and socialization are needed among the university leadership, faculty, study program, and lecturers as field implementers. Student satisfaction and quality, demonstrated through collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills, represent the manifestation of quality education. Therefore, periodic evaluations are necessary to improve the quality of education through the implementation of TQM.

Abstract

Agricultural activities as well as the system of agriculture anywhere in the world depend on a set of physical, socio-economic, and techno-institutional determinants. Among these, a farmer's education is very crucial in the process of production. Education plays a decisive role in adopting modern implements and technology in agriculture and, therefore, in the productivity of crops. The main objective of the paper is to analyze the relationship between the farmer’s level of education and agricultural operations, including the productivity of crops in the interfluves of the Mayurakshi and Bansloi rivers in Birbhum district, West Bengal, India. Data for the study have been collected from door-to-door surveys by making a suitable questionnaire. Pearson’s correlation has been used to show the relationship between the variables. The study shows that almost in all cases, there is a direct and positive relationship between the level of farmers' education and agricultural activities, especially in the application of farm inputs and the productivity of different crops.
