Abstract

Learning Indonesian in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 requires students to be able to master various skills, one of which is critical thinking skills. Teachers as learning facilitators must be able to guide students in mastering these skills. One of the efforts that teachers can make in achieving this is to familiarize students with higher-order thinking, through various kinds of HOTS-based evaluation questions. At the initial stage, it is necessary to know the needs analysis related to the development of HOTS questions in Indonesian language learning materials for persuasive speech texts. Needs analysis in this study is part of research and development (R&D). The method used in this research is the survey method. Data was collected by observation, interviews and document analysis. The data obtained in this study are qualitative data. The qualitative data was then analyzed descriptively. The results of the needs analysis show that the teachers in the MGMP area of ​​the Indonesian Junior High School in Bantul Regency really need HOTS questions in procedural text learning as a teacher reference in making and presenting HOTS questions to students. The results of the study show that so far the teacher has never implemented it, and the students have never worked on HOTS-based evaluation questions in Indonesian language learning materials for persuasive speech texts.

Abstract

Pendidikan bukan hanya menuntut siswa untuk memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Pendidikan juga bertujuan membentuk karakter siswa agar memiliki kepribadian tangguh, kritis, dan bermoral sesuai nilai-nilai luhur yang dimiliki bangsa Indonesia. Pendidikan karakter dapat dilakukan melalui berbagai pelajaran di kelas, salah satunya pembelajaran Indonesia. Pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia berpeluang besar untuk mendorong siswa memiliki karakter yang sesuai dengan nilai-nila kepribadian bangsa Indonesia, terutama dalam menghadapi pandemi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui dokumentasi dan observasi. Teknik analisis berupa analisis data dan pengamatan terhadap obyek penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Pendidikan karakter melalui pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia terdapat beberapa nilai-nilai kepribadian yang diperoleh siswa, yaitu 1) nilai kejujuran, 2) nilai disiplin, 3) nilai bertanggung jawab, 4) nilai toleransi.

Abstract

Language skills that are important and used in everyday life, one of which is writing skills. This writing skill is a form of active productive skill because the writer actively produces or expresses his ideas. This research is a descriptive qualitative research that aims to describe a multitalented strategy to activate students in learning to write drama scripts. Innovative strategies are needed in learning to write drama scripts so that students are encouraged to be active, critical, and creative students. Multitalented Strategy is a strategy in which each student mobilizes all his talents in writing drama scripts.

Abstract

This study examines how the impact of the emergence of the Covid-19 Pandemic on the BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia Penutur Asing) learning process at the State University of Surabaya. The formulation of the problem in this study is (1) How is the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic on the learning conditions of BIPA at the State University of Surabaya? (2) How are the efforts of the State University of Surabaya in overcoming obstacles in BIPA learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic? The method used in this research is to conduct interviews by conducting a survey of BIPA teachers and stakeholders in State University of Surabaya especially BIPA program. The results obtained, there are new problems from the Covid-19 pandemic, limited mobility, and activities in the learning process, plus students who cannot come to the country where they study. On the other hand, the university is looking for a solution by adjusting the learning process using an innovative online learning process to deal with students who cannot come to Indonesia due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
