Abstract

Oscilloscopes are widely used in electrical engineering laboratories for the smooth implementation of practicum. In power electronics practicum, this tool is used to display electric waveforms. To display the electric waveform at a certain magnitude properly, it is necessary to be equipped with an oscilloscope converter. To find out the test voltage range of the MDS 9200 Oscilloscope at DC voltage with the application of a converter, this research was carried out. The research was carried out for a two-stage full-wave single-phase rectifier, first testing the MDS 9200 Oscilloscope at a DC voltage without a converter, the second with a converter. The test results were collected, analyzed descriptively, the test voltage range of the MDS 9200 Oscilloscope at a DC voltage without a converter was between 0 to 11.71 volts, with a converter the test voltage range was from 0 to 220 volts. The application of the converter is able to widen the test voltage range of the MDS 9200 Oscilloscope at DC voltage so that it can be used as a reference for similar tests.

Abstract

The lamp is a lighting tool that is very widely used in everyday life as a means of lighting. The lamp will work or can be used if the lamp is given a power source or voltage. In general, to turn on the lights, we still do it manually, namely pressing the switch as a current or voltage connector for the lamp. However, if done manually it can be an obstacle for those who are busy, so that turning on the lights in their room has difficulty or takes time. Based on the problems above, here the author will design a plate that can be used to make it easier to turn on or control the lights in a room or house. In this case, the author uses a BlueSPP application on the PlayStore using Android Bluetooth and the Arduino interface uses Bluetooth HC-05. This equipment has a working system that is easy for anyone to use, control will be carried out by sending messages from the BlueSPP application via Bluetooth between the Android smartphone and the Arduino microcontroller. When the user sends a message from the BlueSPP Application, the Bluetooth HC-05 will receive commands from the application and forward it to Arduino as a data processor for the message to be instructed to relay whether to turn it on or off. In testing this equipment can work with a maximum range of 15 meters without any obstacles and a maximum work of about 8 meters when there are obstacles.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang penyerapan ion logam kadmium (Cd) dalam air limbah menggunakan adsorben arang aktif dari kulit buah matoa telah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memberikan solusi penanganan dan pengolahan limbah logam berat di laboratorium. Metode adsorpsi digunakan untuk tujuan tersebut. Proses aktivasi adsorben menggunakan aktivator asam nitrat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi optimum proses adsorpsi yaitu pada pH 9, waktu kontak 40 menit, dan massa adsorben 0,25 gram. Pada kondisi optimum, efisiensi adsorpsi ion logam kadmium (Cd) oleh adsorben kulit buah matoa sebesar 61,96% dan kapasitas adsorpsinya 6.244 mg/g.

Abstract

In an effort to fulfill animal protein and increase farmers' income, the government and breeders have made efforts to utilize most of the livestock commodity sources developed, including broilers. The application of Animal Husbandry K3 is very important to avoid occupational health and safety risks. Occupational accidents that occur in the livestock environment receive less attention because there are not many workers in the industry. By looking at the potential hazards and the large number of work accidents in the livestock industry, it is felt that there is a need for hazard analysis, risk research and risk control using the Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Determining Control (HIRADC) method which aims to find out the hazards in Sagara Farms, find out occupational risk assessment, and what efforts should be made to reduce the risk of occupational safety and health hazards on farms.

Abstract

Microbiology practicum activities in tannery process are carried out to determine the causes of leather’s damage caused by microbial activity. This practicum are carried out using media. Practicum activities can be disrupted due to obstructed observations because of bacterial and fungal contamination from the environment. Bacterial and fungal contamination can occur due to sub-optimal media sterilization or improper media storage. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the sterilization technique using autoclaves and UV irradiation on NA and PDA media which are often used. The results showed that the media sterilization technique with an autoclave tended to be more effective than UV light sterilization although it did not provide a significant difference. Media without sterilization gives better results. It can be caused by the heating process up to 100 ˚C when making the media. This process can kill most of the microbes present in the liquid media.

Abstract

Softness tester test method is used to test the softness of tanned leather samples, especially for leather that requires a certain flexibility. There needs to be standardization or verification of test methods as re-confirmation in ensuring the test method used. There is verification so that the data produced is accurate and can maintain quality control of the results of the tests. Tanned leather turns limp due to the addition of chemicals. So far, the method of testing for weakness in the physical testing laboratory has never been verified. This study aims to verify the skin elasticity analysis method, it is hoped that the results of the verification can later be used for routine testing. The skin sample used was goat skin for the jacket material. The test was determined using a Softness tester. Parameters of the analysis method used precision, accuracy and testing uncertainty. The results obtained were SD 0.099;%RSD 1.53, a precision value of ≤ 2% can be stated as good precision; accuracy value 99.37%≥95% accuracy value meets the requirements; bias value 0.629. The results of the uncertainty calibration softness 0.0085; accuracy uncertainty 0.057; the combined uncertainty value is 0.058 and the expanded uncertainty value is 0.116. The softness value of the goat skin sample for jacket material was 6.49 ± 0.116, fulfilling the standard quality requirements for jacket material according to SNI 4503:2011. The conclusion obtained by the analyst is that they are able to perform skin flexibility tests according to the SNI ISO 17235:2012 method and this method can be used in the ATK Polytechnic Physical Testing Laboratory.

Abstract

Today, the problem of conventional plastics whose raw materials are derived from petroleum derivatives is still the center of attention because they are difficult to degrade. To overcome these problems, various efforts have been made, one of which is by utilizing bioplastics from natural fibers and starch. The purpose of this research is to fabricate mangrove bark fiber composites with tapioca starch into bioplastics and test their water absorption. Bioplastics were made by melt intercalation method with the addition of glycerol as plasticizer. The resulting bioplastics were characterized by FT-IR and tested for water absorption. The water absorption of bioplastics from fibers without NaOH-soaked was the highest at 5.54%. Bioplastics from and with NaOH immersion had the highest water absorption of 3.59%. Thus it can be said that bioplastics from NaOH-soaked fibers are better than bioplastics from fibers without NaOH-soaked.

Abstract

Penerapan sistem informasi pengelolaan laboratorium (SIMPAL V.1.0) di laboratorium survey pemetaan Jurusan Teknik Sipil Politeknik Negeri Malang sangat membantu tidak hanya bagi laboran dalam hal penyajian data kebutuhan peralatan dan bahan untuk kegiatan praktikum, akan tetapi juga bagi mahasiwa dalam proses pelaksanaan praktikum utamanya dalam hal peminjaman dan pengembalian peralatan. Pengembangan SIMPAL V.1.0 perlu terus dilakukan untuk menunjang kegiatan belajar mengajar di laboratorium sehingga dapat memberikan layanan yang optimal. Pengembangan yang dimaksud diantaranya: pengembangan perangkat lunak, pengembangan basis data, penambahan barcode scanner dan pembuatan interface barcode scanner. Dengan menggunakan metode research and development (R&D) diperoleh hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: a) perangkat lunak sebagai pengantarmuka antara database yang telah dibuat dengan pengguna laboratorium yang diberi nama “SIMPAL V 1.1; b) basis data yang diberi nama “BaseLabUKT _bar”; c) interface (pengantarmuka) yang dapat menghubungkan antara barcode scanner dengan perangkat lunak.

Abstract

Keberadaan laboratorium mini bank syariah dan seberapa optimal laboratorium tersebut di perguruan tinggi dapat memberikan dampak terhadap upaya pengenalan dan edukasi yang berkaitan mengenai gambaran berbagai produk serta layanan yang ada pada industri perbankan syariah. Hal ini berakar pada kebutuhan yang semakin meningkat akan sumber daya manusia yang memiliki pemahaman, pengalaman, dan kualifikasi yang komprehensif dalam aspek pengetahuan dan praktik perbankan syariah. Studi terhadap laboratorium mini bank syariah menjadi faktor penunjang dalam pembelajaran praktikum perbankan syariah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi lapangan di laboratorium mini bank syariah yang terletak di Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan. Sebagai sebuah lembaga pendidikan, Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam (FEBI) di UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan menyediakan program yang terkait dengan perbankan syariah. Karena itu, fakultas harus menyiapkan beragam fasilitas, termasuk laboratorium mini bank syariah, yang akan digunakan sebagai tempat praktik dan peningkatan literasi bagi mahasiswa. Namun, seiring berjalannya waktu, unit ini menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam menjalankan aktivitasnya karena perkembangan perbankan syariah yang dinamis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran tentang eksistensi laboratorium mini bank syariah di Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam (FEBI) di UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan, serta strategi dan manajemennya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan tiga narasumber, termasuk dua dosen yang mengajar praktikum perbankan syariah dan ketua program studi perbankan syariah, serta dokumentasi objek penelitian yang divalidasi melalui triangulasi data. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan content analysis terhadap hasil wawancara dan temuan lapangan, serta analisis SWOT untuk merumuskan strategi kelangsungan eksistensi. Hasil penelitian menyatakan perlunya peningkatan fasilitas pembelajaran, perubahan tata letak ruang laboratorium, promosi, serta kegiatan yang lebih terbuka kepada publik, seperti menjadi agen BSI Smart, dan juga upaya meningkatkan status hukum menjadi KSPPS.
Pengolahan Sampah Organik dan Anorganik dengan Metode Hidrotermal Pada Suhu di Bawah 200°C Fariz Alfian

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji karakteristik produk arang yang dihasilkan dari proses hidrotermal sampah biomassa dan sampah plastik jenis polipropilen (PP). Penelitian tersebut dilakukan pada kondisi subcritical water dengan tiga variasi komposisi. Proses hidrotermal dilakukan dengan menggunakan Batch Type Reactor dengan pemanas utama uap air yang dihasilkan oleh mini boiler dan pemanas eksternal yang diperoleh dari gas burner. Kondisi operasi dari proses hidrotermal dirancang pada tekanan 6 Bar dengan temperatur 160 oC. Parameter yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah berat akhir produk arang, persentase pengurangan massa dan kualitas produk padat yang dihasilkan dari proses hidrotermal. Penelitian juga mengkaji komposisi ideal dari ke tiga variasi yang diujikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses hidrotermal sampah biomassa dan sampah plastik jenis PP dapat dilakukan pada tekanan yang lebih rendah dan suhu di bawah 200 oC. Dengan proses hidrotermal pada suhu dibawah 200 ºC dengan tekanan 6 Bar terbukti dapat mengurai sampah plastik dan sampah daun. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya pengurangan massa benda antara 83 % - 86 % dari berat awal dan adanya peningkatan nilai kalor produk. Semakin banyak persentase sampah plastik yang dicampurkan dalam proses hidrotermal maka semakin tinggi nilai kalor yang dihasilkan oleh produk yaitu antara 0,2 % - 6,2 %. Campuran yang paling ideal dari 3 sampel adalah 1:3 (50 g sampah daun dan 50 g gelas plastik). Proses hidrotermal dengan tekanan 6 Bar pada suhu 160 ºC terbukti efektif untuk diterapkan di lingkungan skala kecil.
