Abstract

It had been developed experiment KIT to determine the effect of catalyst on reaction rate using Research and Development (RD) design. Stages that had been done consisted of collecting the information, planning, developing primary form of product, preliminary field testing, and main product revision. Based on the result of expert judgment in validity testing on feasibility of the design and KIT, the function for each component of apparatus to undergraduate students, teachers response on feasibility of apparatus and students' response on the function for each component of apparatus are obtained 100 % which has very high criteria. So, it can be concluded from this study that experiment KIT are valid and feasible so the apparatus can be used in the learning process.Telah dikembangkan KIT praktikum pengaruh katalis terhadap laju reaksi secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain Penelitian dan Pengembangan (RD). Tahap-tahap yang dilakukan antara lain penelitian dan pengumpulan data, perencanaan, pengembangan draft awal, uji coba lapangan awal sampai bagian revisi hasil uji coba. Berdasarkan hasil validasi kelayakan desain, hasil validasi kelayakan alat, hasil uji keberfungsian alat pada mahasiswa, hasil respon guru terhadap kelayakan alat dan hasil respon siswa terhadap keberfungsian alat didapatkan penilaian yaitu 100%, sehingga memiliki kriteria sangat tinggi. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan alat praktikum hasil pengembangan valid dan layak, sehingga alat praktikum dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.Kata kunci: KIT, laju reaksi, pengaruh katalis

Abstract

The apparatus in determining the system types based glassware has been constructed by using research and development design. The functional test of this apparatus was conducted to the first year undergraduated student of chemical education Lampung University and field trial test was conducted to the 11thgrade student of SMA Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung. The results showed that the functional test of this apparatus get very high criteria and based on teachers and students responses to suitable of this apparatus also get very high criteria. It can be concluded that the apparatus in determining the system types based glassware has good function and suitable to be used.Telah dikembangkan alat penentuan jenis-jenis sistem berbasis gelas menggunakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan. Uji keberfungsian alat ini dilakukan kepada mahasiswa Universitas Lampung dan uji coba lapangan awal dilakukan kepada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberfungsian alat ini berkriteria sangat tinggi dan berdasarkan tanggapan guru dan siswa, kelayakan alat juga berkriteria sangat tinggi. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat penentuan jenis-jenis sistem berbasis gelas memiliki keberfungsian yang baik dan layak untuk digunakan.Kata kunci: alat praktikum, gelas, sistem terbuka, sistem terisolasi, sistem tertutup

Abstract

The Development of Students’ Discovery Learning Worksheet Based on Android in Buffer Solution. The objectives of this research were to develop and determine the feasibility of Android-based learning media and to describe its characteristics, teachers’ and students’ responses to the student worksheets discovery learning based on Android in buffer solution. This research used Borg and Gall research design and development which only focused on the first five stage. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics analysis. The expert validation showed that the average percentage on content suitability aspect, construction and readability were 89,44%, 92,85% and 92,94% and considered as very high criteria consecutively. The teachers’ responses on suitability, construction and readability aspects were 92,59%, 93,96% and 94,51% and considered as very high criteria respectively. Therefore,students’ responses on readability and attractiveness were 96,03% and 98,05% and considered as very high criteria. Based on these results, the student worksheets based on Android generated by this research is valid and worthy as sources of learning.Keywords: learning media, discovery learning model, student worksheets, android, buffer solution.

Abstract

This apparatus to determine the system types based scrap material has been constructed through Reseacrh and Development design. Based on feasibility and functioning test, the apparatus has very high criteria in each components. Based on field testing, teachers and students also gave responses in very high criteria to the apparatus which has been constructed. This suggest that the apparatus was worthy to be used in the learning and experimenting processes.Alat penentuan jenis-jenis sistem berbasis barang bekas telah dikembangkan dengan designResearch and Development. Berdasarkan uji kelayakan dan keberfungsian, alat penentuan memiliki kriteria tinggi pada setiap komponen. Berdasarkan uji coba lapangan awal, guru dan siswa juga memberikan tanggapan kriteria tinggi terhadap alat penentuan yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran dan kegiatan praktikum.Kata kunci: alat praktikum, barang bekas, jenis-jenis sistem, sistem dan lingkungan.

Abstract

This study which was using research and development (RD) method was conducted with the purposes to develop assessment performance instrument, and to describe its characteristics, the teachers responses, the supporting factors and constraints encountered during the research. The characteristics of developed product were included task, scoring rubric with two performance that so representative, scoring method which simple and easy, so that it was possible to use when assessing the performance of students in experiment activities. The teachers gave a very good responses to the content legibility, construction, and product used aspect of developed assessment performance instrument which the percentage of them were 88.15%, 89.33%, and 84.44%, respectively.Penelitian dengan menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan ini telah dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan instrument asesmen kinerja yang sederhana pada praktikum pengaruh luas permukaan terhadap laju reaksi, mendeskripsikan karakteristiknya, tanggapan pendidik kimia, faktor-faktor pendukung dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam penelitian ini. Karakterisitik dari produk yang dikembangkan ini terdiri dari task dan rubrik penilaian dengan dua kinerja yang paling mewakili dan cara penskoran yang mudah dan praktis, sehingga memungkinkan untuk digunakan ketika menilai kinerja siswa pada kegiatan praktikum. Pendidik telah memberikan tanggapan dengan sangat baik terhadap aspek keterbacaan, konstruksi dan keterpakaian produk dengan persentase dari masing-masing aspek secara berturut-turut 88,15%, 89,33%, dan 84,44%.Kata kunci: instrumen asesmen kinerja praktikum, pengembangan, pengaruh luas permukaan terhadap laju reaksi

Abstract

This research was aimed to develop the simple distillation tool based on household wares. This research used research and development design until main product revision.Based on the validation results, feasibility of distillation tool has a very high category with a percentage of 100% in aspects of accordance aspect with the learning module, educational value, tool durability, the efficiency, and safety for student. The results of teachers` responses to the five aspects were very high category with a percentage of 100%. The results of students` responses to tool durability, the efficiency used of the tools, and safety for student were very high category with a percentage of 100%. Based on this research, the simple tool was valid and feasible to be used in learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat distilasi sederhana berbasis peralatan rumah tangga. Penelitian ini digunakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan sampai tahap revisi hasil uji coba. Berdasarkan hasil validasi, kelayakan alat distilasi memiliki kategori sangat tinggi dengan persentase 100% pada aspek keterkaitan dengan bahan ajar, nilai pendidikan, ketahanan alat, efisiensi penggunaan alat, dan keamanan bagi siswa. Hasil tanggapan guru terhadap kelima aspek tersebut berkategori sangat tinggi dengan persentase 100%. Hasil tanggapan siswa terhadap aspek ketahanan alat, efisiensi penggunaan alat, dan keamanan bagi siswa berkategori sangat tinggi dengan persentase 100%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, alat praktikum hasil pengembangan valid dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.Katakunci:alat distilasi, berbasis peralatan rumah tangga, distilasi sederhana

Abstract

The simple distillation apparatus based scrap wares have been generated by using research and development methods. This apparatus was used for experiment of distillation in secondary school. The functional testing was conducted to undergraduated students of Chemical Education University of Lampung and the testing was done at SMPN 8 Bandar Lampung. The results of functional testing, teachers and students responses obtained percentage of 100%. Based on the result, simple distillation apparatus generated based scrap wares has good function and valid for use in learning activities at school in very high category.Telah dikembangkan alat distilasi sederhana berbasis barang bekas yang digunakan untuk kegiatan praktikum distilasi di sekolah dengan menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Uji coba keberfungsian alat dilakukan pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia Unila dan uji coba lapangan dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung. Hasil uji menyatakan bahwa keberfungsian alat, respon guru dan respon siswa memperoleh persentase 100%. Berdasarkan persentase tersebut maka alat distilasi sederhana berbasis barang bekas yang dikembangkan telah berfungsi dengan baik dan layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah dengan kategori sangat tinggi.Kata kunci: alat distilasi sederhana, barang bekas, praktikum

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Telah disintesis MCM-41 dengan metode sonikimia dengan berbahan dasar natrium silikat sebagai sumber silika dan setiltrimetilamonium bromida sebagai surfaktan. Campuran homogen dari semua reagen disonikasi dengan variasi waktu selama 60 menit, 90 menit, 120 menit, dan 150 menit. Padatan yang terbentuk selama sonikasi, disaring dan dikeringkan selama 6 jam pada 110 ºC dan dikalsinasi pada 550 ºC selama 6 jam juga. Hasil karakterisasi dengan menggunakan XRD dan spektroskopi FTIR menunjukkan kondisi optimum MCM-41 diperoleh dengan sonikasi selama 90 menit. ABSTRACT: MCM-41 was synthesized by using sonichemistry method with sodium silicate as silica source and surfactants cethyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTMABr). The homogeneously mixtures were sonicated for 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes, and 150 minutes. The solid materials during sonication were dried for 6 hous at 110 ºC and calcined at 550ºC for 6 hours too. By using XRD and FTIR, the result showed that the optimum product of MCM-41 was obtained at the time of sonication for 90 minutes.

Abstract

The hoax informations that spread through social media had a negative impact on society. Therefore, research had been conducted in Gedongtataan Upper Secondary School No.1  to describe the effectiveness of problem-based learning model on hoax informations in improving students' critical thinking skills. This study was used the matching only pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this study was the 11th grade of IPA 4 (experimental class) and the 11th grade of IPA 5 (control class) which was obtained by using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the average n-gain in the experimental and control classes was 0.7 and 0.6, respectively. Based on this, it could be concluded that the problem based learning model on the hoax informations was effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. Keywords: critical thinking skills, hoax informations, problem-based learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of project-based learning in improving students' critical thinking skills. The research design used was the matching only pretest and posttest control group. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIPA, one of the high schools in Bandarlampung. The research sample was students of class XI MIPA 6 and XI MIPA 4. The data analysis technique used is the non parametric statistical test using U Man Whitney. The results of the study showed that the average posttest of critical thinking skills in the experimental class was greater than in the control class. the average n-gain in the experimental class is medium and low in the control class, indicating that project-based learning is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. Keywords: critical thinking skills, waste cooking oil, project-based learning
