Abstract

The research findings show the role of KNPI as a means of political education through activities such as conducting board orientation, leadership regeneration, leadership training, conducting general election discussions, and cooperating with other organizational partners and the government. Forms of implementing political education include helping local governments and socializing politics, especially regarding crucial issues, Providing political education to youth and KNPI cadres, Samarinda Seberang District, Socialization of Simultaneous Regional Head Elections Obstacles faced in becoming a means of political education are obstacles in educating the political community and KNPI cadres in Samarinda Seberang District and obstacles in funding activities. Abstract

This article discusses the description of the growth of tribal-based youth organizations and the dynamics of the implications of their presence on inter-ethnic harmony in Samarinda City. A qualitative approach is used as a research method. The research data were obtained from observations, interviews, literature studies and documentation which were analyzed using a qualitative data analysis model. The research findings show an increase in terms of quantity and is in the infant period and childhood phase (Go-Go). The presence of tribal-based youth organizations has real implications for the creation of inter-tribal harmony through the dynamics and behavior of youth organizations which are reflected in positive activities that support the creation of harmony such as peace ambassador activities, sirapeang, fundraising, and joint sports competitions.Keyword: organizational growth, implications, youth, ethnicity, harmony

Abstract

Strategy of the General Election Commission (KPU) of East Kalimantan in Increasing Voter Participation Rates in the 2024 Simultaneous Elections, Emi Rohaimi, Postgraduate Masters Program in Public Administration at Mulawarman University, February 2022,  Prof. Dr. Hj. Aji Ratna Kusuma, M.Si and Prof. Dr. Hj. Hartutiningsih, M.Si.This study aims to produce a choice of strategies and efforts that can be considered by the East Kalimantan KPU in increasing voter turnout in the 2024 election. The study uses a SWOT analysis model in a qualitative approach.The results of the study show: 1. That there are a number of strategic options for the East Kalimantan KPU, namely (1) SO: regulation, internal-external cooperation, completing infrastructure, optimizing funding sources. (2) WO: optimizing human resources with stakeholders and new partners, strengthening communication and coordination partnerships, controlling critical thinking, and developing creativity. (3) ST: regulation suppresses negative competition, HR suppresses hardline and transactional group thinking; National government and local government funding; complete the facilities and infrastructure; strategies and methods of controlling critical thinking in urban communities. (4) WT: preventing negative competition for election participants, optimizing ethok officers or volunteers as well as driving cadres, developing Regency/City KPU creativity; communication and coordination prevent misunderstandings; critical and intelligent thinking control partnership; 2. Efforts that can be made by the East Kalimantan KPU to increase voter participation rates. (1) Internal strengthening, utilizing and empowering strengths and minimizing weaknesses. Improving the quality of human resources, partnerships with educational and political institutions, as well as suffrage education. (2) Paying attention to national and regional dynamics to deal with external conditions with the assistance of Regency/Municipal KPU for well-targeted socialization. Keywords: Strategy to increase voter participation, General Election.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number PM 135 of 2015 concerning Periodic Testing of Motorized Vehicles in Realizing Traffic Safety in Kutai Kartanegara Regency  focusing the research are: (1) Implementation of the policy of periodic testing of motorized vehicles which includes the sub focus of policy accuracy, accuracy of implementation, determination of targets and environmental accuracy, (2) the inhibit factors of successful implementation of the policy of Periodic Motor Vehicle Testing in Kutai Kartanegara. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The results showed that the implementation of the motor vehicle testing policy in an effort to realize traffic safety in Kutai Kartanegara went well and contributed in reducing the number of traffic accidents. This can be seen from the four aspects of accuracy, namely policy accuracy, implementation accuracy, target accuracy and environmental accuracy which are also supported by policy support, strategic support, and technical support from related parts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of gratification control policies, efforts in gratification control, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of gratification control. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research model. The research data were obtained using interview and observation techniques and field studies. The data analysis model used is an interactive data analysis model. Testing the validity of the data is done by testing the reliability and validity of the data. The results showed that the gratification control policy had been implemented with the Gratification Control Unit Team as the implementer of the policy, but the results were not optimal, seen from the four aspects of policy implementation, namely communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Keywords: policy implementation, gratification control, communication, resources, disposition, bureaucratic structure

Abstract

This article will discuss managerial aspects in implementing flood control policies by the PUPR Office of Samarinda City as seen from four policy implementation variables, namely communication, resources, disposition, and communication. The research method used is qualitative. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and literature study—data analysis using interactive data analysis. The study results indicate that the managerial aspects of the four policy implementation variables in the implementation of flood control policies have been running quite well. In some cases, there are still obstacles.Keyword: managerial aspect, policy, flood control
