Al Mishbah Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah dan Komunikasi is an academic peer-reviewed journal that publishes the latest issues in the field of dawah and communication, including areas of dawah discourse, such as Islamic counseling and the development of Islamic societies. Abstract

Bela International Hotel is the only five-star hotel in Ternate where in deal with competition between hotels, it is necessary to provide specific and innovative facilities and services to be superior to its competitors. Competitive competition in the hospitality world at this time encourages every hotel to create a promotional program offered to hotel guests. Thus, the function and role of strategic marketing communication is needed so that positive information about the hotel can be received by the public so that in the end the community makes the hotel as a choice. Marketing communication activities carried out by paying attention to two aspects namely; internal and external marketing communication. With the concept of integrated marketing communication, it is not enough to depend on just one material, so that Bela International Hotel combines the concept of marketing with customer relations and maintenance services.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper to analyze the communication headmaster duties and functions of leadership in the religious character building of students. Qualitative methods used scrutinize the meaning of the study contains analysis techniques of data reduction, data display and data verification. This paper has resulted in findings; First, communication headmaster leadership in carrying out duties effectively develop the religious character of learners. Second;religious character values ​​developed in the private learners were devout religious practices, mutual respect, social care, have an attitude of individual learning motivation and collaboration, and to produce an honest attitude, creative, responsible and inclusive on a private learners.

Abstract

One of the Javanese ethnic identities present in Makassar is called Mas for male Javanese. This nickname has been going on for a long time and it is not yet known exactly when it began, with a span of time, then the identity of Mas has become the property of Javanese men in Sulawesi, especially Makassar. The two ethnic groups in Makassar, namely; ethnic outside of Java and Javanese have the same usage of Mas, namely; is a greeting to pay respect to others and as a door of intimacy to people who have not known their identity, especially for traders, Mas greetings are common, but the problem is the application and generalization of Javanese ethnic in Makassar

Abstract

Motivation is something that is very important for someone in doing an activity. Motivating learning motivation can encourage optimal learning achievement. Motivation has a very important role in individual activities. Motivation needs for individual activities to produce effective results, there is a need for strong motivation and for this reason efforts are needed to generate motivation. Many teachers feel that their job is only to teach, not to motivate students. When in the classroom the teacher solely conveys the contents of the lesson to the students, in terms of conveying the lesson where students do not feel attracted by the lesson which is less favorable. Students need to get motivated. A student who has motivation will be able to learn more and faster than those who lack motivation Teacher communication with students in face-to-face activities in the teaching and learning process can be done, both individually or in groups, in the form of verbal and non-verbal, and assisted with media and learning resources. The teacher provides information, messages, ideas to students with the intention of students actively participating well in learning so that the core of the learning process can be achieved to the maximum level

Abstract

This study aims to find the paradigm of Islamic legal philosophy contained in the Fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) regarding guidelines for social interaction through social media. This type of research is qualitative research (library research). Data sources of this study is the Fatwa of MUI, No.24 of 2017 Concerning Law and Guidelines for Bermuamalah through Social Media and various relevant literature. The theory used in this research is the Maqasid Shariah theory. This study concludes that the Fatwa of MUI legal provisions that limit freedom of social interaction through social media are legal provisions in realizing the benefit of individuals (al-maslahat al-khassah) and the public (al-maslahat al-ammah) in the context of social life. To realize these two benefits, the five objectives of Islamic law (maqasid shari'ah al-khomsah), such as hifz al-nafs, hifz al-aql, hifz al-mal, hifz al-nasl can be manifested in various legal provisions of the fatwa of MUI which limits freedom of social interaction on social media.

Abstract

Tolotang community communication activities include communicative situations, communicative events and communicative acts. Communicative situation or the context of the occurrence of communication is an atmosphere that describes the events or communication processes in a series of religious ritual activities of the Tolotang community, among others: Bulu Lowa, Amparita Market and Perrinyameng. Communicative events are events that illustrate the belief system in the religious rituals of the Tolotang community including: Mappaenre Inanre, Inanrē, Sipulung, Tudang sipulung, Iēnrēkeng. Abstract

This research studies how the Z generation at IAIN Palu in terms of activeness on Instagram social media, as well as how they see religious leaders. Research focusing Instagram social media refers to the level of popularity of Instagram in Z generation. This research was conducted using a survey design that was carried out thoroughly with a sample of 222 people. Research shows there are differences in choosing da'I and religious leaders between those who actively use social media Instagram and those who do not use Instagram. The results of this study indicate the need for more in-depth studies related to social media in terms of its function as one of the dakwah media. Especially seeing the high public interest in using social media.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ritual procession in the Sasadu Traditional House and describe the meaning of the Sasadu traditional house which has become an icon of the Sahu ethnic community in South Halmahera Regency. The approach used in this research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used include; observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed based on communication ethnographic analysis. The results showed that the Sasadu traditional house is a typical house of the Sahu tribe in West Halmahera district which is used as a place to carry out the Horom toma Sasadu traditional ceremony (eat together in Sasadu). The implementation of the traditional ceremony is usually done at the time of the harvest as a form of gratitude and implementation of musyarawah

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rapid development of technology and information, one of which is social media, one of the most popular social media is Instagram. Instagram is a social media with a photo and video processing system and more practical information acquisition, the advantages that are presented by Instagram social media are able to reach the most users of other social media including students. The content in Instagram is not just information and entertainment, Instagram also offers news about Islam that can affect users, including students. The problems in this research are: finding out the influence of da'wah on Instagram on the religious behavior of university students. The question of this study is whether preaching on Instagram influences the religious behavior of university students. The purpose of this study was to determine whether preaching on Instagram influences the religious behavior of university students. This research is a quantitative study, with data collection methods through survey. The data analysis method used is the normality test, hypothesis testing and simple linear regression coefficient test which is then processing the data using the SPSS 16 for windows application. The population in this study was all students of communication and broadcasting Islam department from the year 2015 to the year 2018. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique, as many as 60 people by determining active users on Instagram. The results of processed statistics are assisted with SPSS 16 for window program, which shows that preaching on Instagram (X) significantly influences the religious behavior (Y) of Islamic broadcasting communication students with a sig value smaller than the value (α) of 0,000 <0.05 with the magnitude of its influence is 0.526 or 52.6%, while the remaining 47.6% is explained by other independent variables not included in this study.

Abstract

This paper aims to elaborate family communication patterns in increasing resilience of children after disasters. A number of studies have stated that children are the most vulnerable victims of mental disorders, and have unstable resilience after a disaster. However, the writings there still revolve around the importance of disaster mitigation education since, no one has touched on the importance of family communication patterns in increasing children's resilience. This paper addresses this problem through content analysis of a number of primary sources of books and journals. The results of this study indicate that there are two effective patterns of family communication to build and increase resilience of children after a disaster. First, pluralistic communication is characterized by children's independence in making decisions. Second, consensus communication, which is a pattern of communication that is built on the principle of openness between parents and children, but the final decision is still determined by parents. Both patterns are very effective in building self-confidence, empathy and responsibility which are the characteristics of a strong child.
