Abstract

The problem in this study is the difficulty of class VII MTs PAB 3 students in solving materials for algebra form material. This study aims to find out whether there is the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model to overcome the difficulties of students in completing the Algebra Form Material Problem in Class VII MTs PAB 3. This type of research is a pre-experimental design research with one group pre-test research design Post-test. The population in this study was all students of Class VII MTs PAB 3, while the sample of this study consisted of one class totaling 30 students. Data in this research was analyzed using the t test. From the t test analysis obtained  which is larger than the value of  so that  is accepted and  is rejected, meaning that there is a significant influence between the learning model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) to overcome students' difficulties in solving algebraic material problems. Then it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model to overcome students' difficulties in solving algebraic material questions in class VII MTs PAB 3.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a product in the form of smart ladder learning media. Moreover, this is to know the feasibility and the effect of smart ladder learning media on students' numeracy abilities. This type of research is Research and Development (RD) using the Four-D (4D) development model. The development stages include: the define, the design, the development, and the disseminate stage. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interview, questionnaire, and test. The feasibility test involved four experts consisting of instrument, material, media, and learning experts. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative. The results of the study show that smart ladder learning media is appropriate to use based on the results of the assessment of material experts obtaining score 94.54%, media experts 96.25%, and learning experts 90.90%. The results of improving the numeracy skills of students grade 1 obtained an N-gain value of 0.97 and students grade 2 obtained an N-gain value of 0.91, which the two N-gain values were included in the "High" category. Thus, smart ladder learning media is feasible to use and can improve students' numeracy skills in elementary school arithmetic operations material.

Abstract

Research conducted by class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Lubuklinggau aims to find out if after using the problem based learning method there is a significant increase. Research systems use semi-empirical methods. This research target is 26 students in class VIII, 11 boy or15 girl. Collection research information uses learning outcomes test of student' ability to solve statistical problems. The evidence of learning results is analyzed using quantitative analys. Research result show problem-based learning method will increase students' statistical learning efforts at SMP Negeri 4 Lubuklinggau. It was proven by the test results of 6,712 until Ho refused Ha accepted. Implementation problem-based learning method is almost complete. The value is reinforced by the fact that average post-test very large than pre-test value.

Abstract

The influence of mathematics student anxiety is not only seen from fear but also from the ability to solve problems. This research survey was conducted to ascertain whether there are consequences of math students' anxiety with problem solving abilities in high school math problems. The research method used in the research survey is quantitative research. Researchers collected data using questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique uses a simple regression analysis technique assisted by SPSS 16. Based on the results of the analysis of the R square residual model, the effect of anxiety on problem solving is 29.5%, and the remaining 70.5% is caused by unimportant variables. Then based on the results of the ANOVA test the significant value (0.002) 0.05 (the value of the confidence level). So it can be concluded that there was an impact between the influence of anxiety and problem solving in high school math problems.

Abstract

This research aim to describe students’ numeracy literacy skills in solving mathematics problems in the form of story problems. The students involved were class X students at one of 36 high schools in Karawang district, then selected 3 students with high, medium, and low numeracy literacy skills. The method used is a case study research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection technique usedin this survey is a two  dimensional description test of arithmetic rows and rows, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis technique is in the formof an aveage percentage for each indicator of numeracy literacy ability, availability of subject to be intervewed, subject  answer and conclusions. The results of the  study show that the subject with high numbering numeracy literacy is capable of  solving problems using  symbols and numbers, able to analyze the information presented, and able to interpret the result of the analysis to draw the conclusion correctly, where as the subjects with the literacy of categorical numeration are not  capable of interpreting the results of analysis, and subject with low category numerational literacy does not meet the three indicators of numerational literacy, this is because the student isnot  accustomed to working on the story. It was concluded that the numerical literacy of the entire student was categorized quite well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang diklasifikasikan berdasarkan gender dalam menyelesaikan soal uraian persamaan garis lurus di tingkat SMP dengan melibatkan 34 siswa kelas VIII dengan pengambilan subjek dengan teknik sampling purposive. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII yang terdiri dari 2 siswa perempuan berkemampuan komunikasi matematis kategori tinggi dan sedang dan 2 siswa laki-laki yang berkemampuan komunikasi matematis kategori sedang dan rendah. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diadopsi dari peneliti terdahulu berupa tes uraian berjumlah dua butir soal cerita untuk mengklasifikasikan kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah dan dua butir soal untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis data berupa analisis kualitatif berdasarkan Miles dan Hubberman melalui penjabaran hasil jawaban siswa untuk memperoleh gambaran umum terkait kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis tinggi dapat memenuhi kedua indikator dan subjek dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis sedang memenuhi salah satu dari kedua indikator sedangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis rendah tidak memenuhi keduanya. Hasil dari tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa menunjukan komunikasi matematis siswa perempuan dan siswa laki-laki termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan rata-rata masing-masing adalah 70,83 dan 66,5.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil pengembangan media “koordinat kartesius transparan” berbasis PBL pada materi geometri transformasi. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model ADDIE. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket validasi ahli media, angket validasi ahli materi, angket validasi ahli pembelajaran, angket penilaian peserta didik dan guru serta tes evaluasi. Analisis menggunakan data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Data kualitatif meliputi saran, pendapat ahli media dan ahli materi. Untuk analisis data kuantitatif didapat dari angket yang telah diberikan kepada ahli media, ahli materi, ahli pembelajaran, praktisi dan peserta didik. Analisis data kuantitatif beserta uji yang dilakukan yakni uji kevalidan, uji kepraktisan dan uji keefektifan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata peserta didik setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran koordinat kartesius transparan pada pembelajaran pertama adalah 81,875, pembelajaran kedua adalah 84,063 dan pembelajaran ketiga adalah 86,719. Dengan demikian nilai rata-rata peserta didik secara keseluruhan adalah 84,271. Nilai tersebut berada diatas nilai KKM yaitu 70. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran ini termasuk dalam kategori efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil pengembangan media pembelajaran layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika materi geometri transformasi.

Abstract

Gaya belajar siswa menjadi elemen penting yang perlu diperhatikan dalam proses pembelajaran agar tujuan pembelajaran matematika dapat tercapai. Kemampuan untuk mengenali dan menerapkan berbagai gaya belajar dapat memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam mengatasi berbagai permasalahan matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah gaya belajar memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa ditinjau dari materi analisis real. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian korelasional dan expost facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, kelas B angkatan 2023. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penggunaan kuesioner, dan analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh signifikan gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the extent of mathematical critical thinking skills of junior high school students on the material of relations and functions. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach involving 3 students from 39 students of class VIII SMPN 3 Cihampelas as research subjects. Data was collected through giving test questions related to relation and function material and interviews to gain in-depth understanding. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that students' mathematical critical thinking skills in relation and function material can be classified as quite good. This can be seen from the number of students who are in the medium category. While some others are in the high and low categories. Students who have high mathematical critical thinking skills can fulfill all five indicators of mathematical critical thinking, namely elementery clarification, basic support, advance clarification, strategy and tactic, inference. Students in the medium category were only unable to fulfill the inference indicator, while students in the low category were only able to fulfill the elementary clarification indicator.
