Abstract

This study provided an analysis of HRGA Department processes at XYZ Company. The KPIs of the HRGA Department at XYZ Company has been ineffectively and inefficiently processed since 2017 till the first quartile of 2018. This study, therefore, aims to provide an analysis of the processes through the Recruitment, Training & Development, and Personnel Administration, with the fishbone diagram used to determine the main and root causes of the problems. The result showed that the processes were ineffective and inefficient because the company's working instruction partially complied, lacked employee leadership, and the organizational structure has not been updated in accordance with its development.

Abstract

Learn a robot manipulator in university requires a physical robot so students can learn to program it straight away. However, it is expensive and not affordable by most universities in Indonesia. We turn to a ROS-based solution for an open source, free and advanced robotic software system. Using ROS and Gazebo simulator, we develop a low-cost solution where students can learn an advanced robot manipulator such as Baxter. We divide our labwork into five sections: controlling the arm w.r.t. joints position, controlling the arm based on its inverse kinematics, object detection by a camera attached in robot’s wrist, executing a simple plan: pick and place task, and enabling a robot to perform a tool-use task. By gradually increasing the complexities of the labwork material we expect students get a better understanding in controlling a robot manipulator. We provide an affordable solution for students to learn robot manipulator control.

Abstract

This paper reporst a research that was conducted to utilize lean method and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) in product costing, in order to obtain more rational price standard. FMEA as one of the methods to analyze risks is used in this paper as a tool to identify the risks from the waste side which is then adapted into a product costing in order to obtain a more rational product price structure. Utilizing both methods produce a waste priority number with adjustment value of 52.23% to the existing product cost. This adjustment makes the cost of product higher than before but yields less gap with the highest retail price

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to extend the default integration of Elasticsearch in Magento 2.3 to search for other content which is category and content pages. The current search engine in Magento uses the default MySQL search engine, with the new update of Magento 2.3, Elasticsearch is introduced as an optional search engine. Elasticsearch provides a better and optimized full text search, however this new integration can only search the catalog products, therefore a way of extending the integration of Elasticsearch in Magento is searched for. The features that wanted to be implemented is Category search using Elasticsearch in Magento 2.

Abstract

ASML is a company that manufactures the TWINSCAN machine that can produce semiconductor chips. This machine has a TWINSCAN software installed inside it and that software needs mapping configuration files to keep it running properly. The configuration files are developed by developers from many departments within ASML. However, the development process of the configuration files is ineffective, as the developers will know if there is any defect in the source code only in the late part of the development after all files have been committed into the TWINSCAN software’s source code archive. It would be better if the developers know if there is any invalid syntax in the configuration files when they are still creating or editing the files, so they can fix the defects immediately before the files are uploaded into the source code archive. The main purpose of this research is to develop a Domain-Specific Language (DSL) based on the structure of the configuration files, and a syntax checker application that can check the mapping configuration files for the TWINSCAN machine during the creation or editing phase of those files by the developers. The development of the DSL and syntax checker would be done using Xtext framework installed in Eclipse Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The final results show that the DSL and the syntax checker developed using Xtext can detect any invalid syntax during the development phase of the configuration files, so the developers can fix the defects directly, thus solving the company’s problem.
