Abstract

Intention of this research is to know the interaction influence of some media plant and physical treatment, knowing best combination of media plant and physical treatment and know the media plant and best physical treatment to fracturing of dormansi and viabilitas of sugar palm seed.   This research  was concuted on the experimental land at Jumba Amuntai of South arch, during 4 month, device utilized in this research is Random Device of Group ( RAK), with the factorial attempt pattern two factor that is : (I) Media plant the (T) with four level : t0 = sand + land;ground  (1 : 1); t1 = sand + fertilize the cage of chicken dirt (1 : 1); t2 = sand + chaff (1:1) and t3 = sand + sawdust (1:1). (II) Treatment of seed physical (F) with four level : f0 = without physical treatment; fl = cut the parallelogram of near by bydm soriyt eye ± 5 mm; f2 = sharpened circular precisely bydm soriyt eye; f3 = rubbed by a precise emery paper of bydm soriyt eye.    Result of research indicate that the media interaction plant and physical treatment have an effect on the reality to germination percentage, fast of germination, sum up the leaf, long of upper seed and dry weight of sprout. Combination of media plant and best physical treatment at germination percentage that is t2f1 is 53,25 %, accelerateing germination at t0f2 is 6,65 day, sum up the leaf that is t1f3 is 1,87 piece of, upper seed length that is t1f2 is 35,67 dry cm weight and of sprout at tlf0 is 1,86 g. Single factor of media plant best there are at media plant the sand + fertilize the cage and very influencing to growth perception that is length of bydm soriyt dry weight and of sprout. Single factor of best physical treatment is cuting the near by eye of bydm soriyt and sharpened circular precisely

Abstract

White Turmeric is one of the traditional drug known to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells and have a variety of other benefits . Turmeric can grow well in soil that is loose, fertile , containing organic matter , and has good drainage. Manure is an organic fertilizer that is derived from livestock manure , either in the form of solids ( feces ) that mixed food waste , or urine (urine) , have the ability to improve the physical, chemical , and biological properties of soil .The purpose of this study was ( 1 ) to determine the effect of chiken manure application on white turmeric cutting, and ( 2 ) to determine the best dose of chicken manure on white turmeric cutting . This research has been conducted in the Murung Asam’s village, District of Sungai Pandan from March until June 2012. The design used in this study was a randomized block design consisting of 5 levels of Chicken manure ie p0 (0 g) , p2 (250 g) , p2 (500 g) , p3 (750 g) and p4 (1000 g). The results of the study of chicken manure application has significant effect on the rate of growth of buds , length of buds , number of leaves and the percentage grows .

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain solutions in the potential development of botanical pesticides, cheaper, easier to come by, do not damage the environment and are not toxic. In addition, to determine the effect of the most effective ways against death of Siput Murbei  (P. canaliculata). Research carried out for two months, in the area Lempake Village, District of North Samarinda, Samarinda. The research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of four treatments were repeated four (4) times, namely: Without giving jengkol skin or controls (a0), chopped jengkol skin 1 kg plot-1 or 2500 kg ha-1 (a1) , mashed jengkol skin 1 kg plot-1 or 2500 kg ha-1 (a2), soaked jengkol skin 1 kg plot-1 or 2500 kg ha-1 (a3). Results of the research indicated that: (1). Jengkol (Phitecolobium lobatum) fruit skin can be used as a plant-based pesticides to kill pests Siput Murbei (Pomaceaecanaliculata). (2). Without     jengkol friut skin (a0) no one died and suffered breeding, whereas rind jengkol given on day 15 died. (3). jengkol friut skin giving way most effective is soaked, because of the rapid death rate, ie 8.36 days, 8.67 days chopped, pounded and 9.17 days. Thus jengkol fruit skin effective in killing Siput Murbei.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the factors that influence the production of cucumber and cucumber production elasticity know Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency. The research was conducted in the Hulu Sungai Tengah. Based on the F count equal to 17.017 with a .000 Sig. From these results appear F count> F table and the Sig <alpha (0.05), then the conclusion is to reject H0, which means all of the independent variable (X) simultaneously significantly affect the dependent variable (Y). Means land, seeds, fertilizer, pesticides and labor together (simultaneously) influence the production of cucumber in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency. The results of testing the regression coefficients are partial (t test) showed that the factors that influence the production of cucumber is a factor which is partially pesticides significantly, while the area of land, seed, fertilizer and labor is partially significant effect on the production of cucumber in the Hulu_Sungai_Tengah Regency. R Square value (coefficient of determination) is 0.739 indicates variability of production quantities of cucumber 73.9% can be explained by the factors of production are present in cucumber production function equation, while the remaining 26.1% is explained by the error factor (error). Based on the regression equation obtained, then the elasticity of production is land factor elasticity -0.013, 0.066 elasticity seeds, fertilizer elasticity is 0.799, pesticides_and_labor_elasticity_0.836,_-1.244_elasticity.

Abstract

The aim of research is to find out the influence of probiotic utilization in the ration on dry metter intake, average daily gain (ADG), carcas percentage and economical value. The research was done in 90 days. Probiotic that used in this research is Yea-sacc®1026, commercial product from PT. Alltech. Yea-sacc®1026 contains Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain 1026 and its growth medium. There are two kinds of ration formula (formula I and II).  One of each ration was given yeasacc®1026  1kg/1000 kg, and the other was not given, so  there are 4 ration treatments. This research used Brahman Cross breed (steer and heifer). Each treatment used 30 heads of beef cattle, so there are 120 heads of beef cattle.  The size of paddock 10 x 10m.  This research used randomized completely design with 30 replications. The datta were  analyzed by The SAS System for Windows 6.12. and then Duncan Multiple Range Test. The result of the research indicated that the formulation ( I and II) and  Yea-sacc®1026 used had no effect to dry metter intake, average daily gain (ADG), carcas percentage and economical value.

Abstract

Peanuts (Arachis hypogea L.) is classified as crops and plants rapidly produce . Lebak wetlands agroecosystem areas, which are grouped into marginal land in Kal-Sel with various efforts can be utilized for crops.Giving rice husk ash is used to loosen the soil so plant roots can make it easier to absorb nutrients in it . This study aims to ( i ) determine the growth and yield response of peanut to the application of rice husk ash on lebak wetlands , and ( ii ) to obtain the best dosage of rice husk ash growth and yield of peanut in lebak wetlands . The experiment was conducted in the Babirik Hilir Village,  Babirik District, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency in June to September 2012, using a randomized block design (RBD ), with 5 treatments and 4 replications, and 12 plants each contained 240 beds making the overall plant . Factors tested were various dosage of rice husk ash that a0 = 0 t.ha-1 ( 0 kg.plot-1) , a1 = 6 t.ha -1 ( 0.576 kg.plot-1), a2 = 12 ton.ha-1 ( 1.152 kg.plot-1) , a3 = 18 t.ha-1 ( 1.728 kg.plot-1) , a4 = 24 t.ha-1  ( 2,304 kg.plot -1) . The results showed that treatment of rice husk ash dose had no effect on plant height age 14 day Rafter pelanting (DAP), the number of leaves age 14, 21, and 28 DAP . And significant effect on plant height age 21 DAP , plant fresh weight of pods and weight of 100 seeds , and very significant effect on plant height age 28 DAP , age of the plant when the first flowering and number of pods per plant . The best treatment was found on treatment at a4 dosage of 24 t.ha -1 ( 2,304 kg.plot-1).

Abstract

The experiment was aimed to know the level of fermented sago by using Aspergillus niger to dressed carcass percentage of Serati duck 8 weeks age. This experiment was used Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 4 replicates (control, 10% 20%, 30% and 40% of fermented sago). Data was analyzed by using analysis of variance and followed by Duncann Multirange test. The Optimal use of fermented sago in diets was 20%. Fermented sago can be applied up to 30% in diets, without decreasing the performance of body weight, dressed carcass weight, and dressed carcass percentage of Serati duck 8 weeks age

Abstract

Dodol Pisang Awa is a newly introduced local banana-based product. Several basic studies are necessary in introducing the new product to the prospective producers and consumers. Studies conducted were consumer preference level, shelf life determination and business feasibility analysis. Result showed that the taste of Dodol Pisang Awa is accepted at level 4 (hedonic scale of 1-5) followed by the aroma, overall appearance, texture, and colour. The shelf life was limited to 10 days at room temperature, transparent HDPE packaging. Feasibility analysis suggested that the business plan is feasible at profitability value of 0.77 and business efficiency of 1.77.

Abstract

Larvae Chironomus sp also known as blood worms with a high protein content which is a natural food mainly for fish seed. Chironomus larvae can live in the open water on the muddy grounds or fine sand rich in organic matter. This study was conducted to determine the position and placement of the right type of growing medium for the cultivation of bloodworm on swamp waters. Results of this study addressed that position kakaban good placement is horizontal in the middle with a water depth of 100 cm with an abundance of bloodworm 400-444 ind/m2. Both types of growing medium is an abundance of coconut fiber with bloodworm i 622-967 ind/m2. ANOVA analysis of the results showed that the position of the waters kakaban placement and type of growth media on the growth of different bloodworm is very real.
