Abstract

This study aims to improve the feasibility of science literacy-based media in students of various styles of material. The results of the PISA and TIMSS survey in this year stated that the scientific literacy skills of Indonesian students are in the low category. One of the efforts that can improve scientific literacy skills is through learning media. Learning media can be in the form of audio, visual, and audiovisual, for grade IV students, visual media can be easily understood by students during learning. The media that will be chosen in this research is comic media based on science literacy. This research uses a development research type. The development of learning media based on scientific literacy is carried out by research and development steps from the Thiagarajan and Semmel models which consist of four steps, namely: defining, planning, developing, and disseminating which will later be used as the research foundation. The development of Upin & Ipin's comic media is based on seven indicators of scientific literacy. This literacy-based comic media was tested with five validators, namely content validation, language validation, graphic validation, scientific literacy validation, and user validation. The results of the validation test stated that 80% of the validation of content experts, 81.25% of language validation, 87.5% of graphic validation, 92.86% of validation of scientific literacy experts, and 95% of user validation. Based on the results of the validation, the content expert validation showed that comic media was included in the feasible category, while for the other four validations it indicated that comic media was included in the very feasible category. Based on the data, it can be concluded that this literacy-based comic media is very feasible in increasing students' scientific literacy skills, especially at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The background of this research is the low of student motivation on study in University of Muhammadiyah Gresik. It was caused of the learning process conducted monotonous and not to use learning media. The purpose of this research are to up student’s motivation in learning process. This research applied class action research method which was used data analysis technique of descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The instrument is the response of students. Student’s motivation showed the good results to the learning process, there are 88,6%. The conclusion of this research that using rubbish for creativity can increasing student’s motivation on studies in University of Muhammadiyah Gresik.

Abstract

Anisah, Siti. 2020. The applying of Guided Discovery Learning Daring Mode to develope the students’ achievement learning on matrix in the senior high school of NURUL JADID. Article, Teacher Profesional Education Department, Faculty of Mathematic and Science, Muhammadiyah University of Gresik. Advisors: Dr.Irwani Zawawi, M.Kes. This study describes the design and implementation of mathematics learning using Guided Discovery Learning to see the learning achievement of class XI students in the senior high school of NURUL JADID on the matrix material. The results of this classroom action research indicate that the percentage of the number of students who completed learning in cycle 1 was 30.8% while the percentage of the number of students who completed learning in cycle 2 was 57.7% and the percentage of the number of students who completed learning in cycle 3 was 84.6 %. According to the completeness of learning determined by SMA NURUL JADID, the implementation of learning is said to be supportive or successful if at least 80% of students get a minimum score of 75 so that in this case it can be concluded that learning with Guided Discovery Learning in this study is successful. This can be strengthened by the results of observations of student activities that fall into the "Very Good" category in cycle 1, cycle 2 and cycle 3.

Abstract

Fatma Hajar Islamiyah (NIM.16441065). Implementation of the School Literacy Movement [Case Study at SDN Lebakadi I, Sugio, Lamongan]. (Supervised by Nanang Khoirul Umam, M. Pd. And Ismail Marzuki, M. Pd.). This study aims to describe the activities of the implementation of the school literacy movement in SDN Lebakadi I, Sugio, Lamongan and measure the appropriateness of the indicators of the implementation of the school literacy movement at the habituation level. The method used in this research is a case study that focuses on the implementation of the school literacy movement in SDN Lebakadi I, Sugio, Lamongan. The study was conducted through three methods of data collection and research subjects. These methods include interviews, observations, and document analysis with research subjects consisting of school principals, teachers, committee, and students. The results of data collection from these subjects and methods are then triangulated to find the suitability of real conditions related to the implementation of the school literacy movement. Based on the results of this case study research it can be concluded that 6 out of 10 indicators of the implementation of the school literacy movement have been achieved by SDN Lebakadi I, Sugio, Lamongan. The things that need to be improved are the systematic and sustainable evaluation and follow-up.

Abstract

The aim of this research to improving problem solving skills of student grade X smkn 3 blitar with applied problem based learning model assisted LKPD. This research is classroom action research which in three cycle. Each cycle consist of three steps, according to Kemmis and taggart are planning acting ang observing and reflecting. Subject of this research is class X KKR smkN 3 blitar odd semester which amount 35 students. Data obtained from observation form problem solving skill of students. The result of this research problem based learning model can improve problem solving skills of atudent class X.... this is evidenced with improving problem solving skill of students at first cycle, percentage all of indicators achieve 39%.. at second cycle improved 23% to be 62% and third cycle improved 33% to be 95%. This Research is stopped at third cycle because it was successful to reach indicator of problem solving skill of students that is minimum 75%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether or not there is a difference of problem solving ability mathematics with realistic mathematic education learning model to problem solving skill in math. The type of this research is experimental research with quasi experimental design and nonequivalent control group design’s type. This research was conducted at SDN Poris Pelawad 3 Cipondoh Kota Tangerang class IV in the even semester of academic year 2018/2019. The sample was 20 students consisting 20 experiment class students and 20 control class students. The results of the research explained that a difference in the ability of a mathematical problem solver between the control class and the experimental class.

Abstract

Basically, most students think that mathematics is an unpleasant subject, but actually it starts from suggestions received from other people. That suggestion causes students to feel tense and afraid even before receiving math lessons. The use of the lecture method used by the teacher causes students to play a less role so that they feel less excited and feel bored, their understanding is not optimal, and the scores obtained are not as expected. This study aims to improve the critical thinking of class X students of SMA ISLAM AL-IKHWAN after participating in the PBL learning model. This classroom action research was conducted in 3 cycles, each of which consisted of one meeting. Each cycle consists of four steps, namely planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The results of this study indicate that the percentage of critical thinking scores of students in cycle I was 33% with low qualifications, increased in cycle II by 67% with medium qualifications, cycle III by 100% with high qualifications. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the indicators of success of this study are fulfilled and the application of the PBL model in online learning can improve students' critical thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to realize active mathematics learning in class XII TIB SMK YAPPI Wonosari using the Discovery Learning model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects in this study were students of class XII TIB SMK YAPPI WONOSARI. The object of this research is the whole process and results of mathematics learning activities in improving the realization of active mathematics learning using the Discovery Learning model. The instrument in this study was active learning observation. This research was conducted in three cycles, the first cycle consisting of one meeting, the second cycle consisting of one meeting, and the third cycle consisting of one meeting. The data collection technique in this research is observation. Learning is carried out online through the Moodle-based Learning Management System (LMS), zoom meetings and WAG. This study shows that active learning has been achieved. This is indicated by an increase in the percentage of each active learning indicator from cycle I to cycle II and cycle III through observation. The observation results showed an increase in the percentage of active mathematics learning from cycle I to cycle II and cycle III, namely: Cycle 1 34.4%, cycle 2 41.13%, and cycle III 60.13%. Actions have reached the indicators of success in cycle III.

Abstract

Scientific article is a type of scientific text that cannot be separated from the students’ academic life, therefore students' understanding of scientific articles needs to be known clearly. The purpose of this research is to describe the students’ understanding of scientific article. The research respondents were PGSD students’ class 2018 class A, B, and C totaling 81 peoples. The data analysis used is descriptive quantitative, that is, describing the results of data analysis based on carrying out of the data collection. The collected data used a questionnaire technique and the research instrument used a questionnaire sheet. Based on the data analysis, the results of the research showed that the students of class A, B, and C who answered YES were 45.11%, 52.38%, and 53.9%. The results of the response to NO are class A 54.89%, class B47.62%, and class C 46.1%.

This study aims to improve the critical thinking of class XI students of SMAN 1 Pamekasan after participating in the discovery learning model. This classroom action research was conducted in 3 cycles, each of which consisted of one meeting. Each cycle consists of four steps, namely planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The results of this study indicate that the percentage of critical thinking scores of students in cycle I was 56% with low qualifications, increased in cycle II by 68.75% with enough qualifications, cycle III by 81,25% with high qualifications. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the indicators of success of this study are fulfilled and the application of the Discovery Learning model in online learning can improve students' critical thinking.
