Abstract

This research is motivated by a lack of class IV student learning outcomes in learning science at MIM-06 Brondong Lamongan. Teachers only do conventional learning, so that students more easily bored and not interested in the material that is taught. Therefore, in order to be able to increase student learning outcomes, the need for learning to create an atmosphere of learning interesting and fun. The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes and physical environmental material amendments fourth grade MIM 06 Brondong- Lamongan through Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL). This research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of four phases of activity: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The subjects were students of class IV Mim 06 Brondong-Lamongan Semester II Academic Year of 2015/2016. The instrument used in this study are: syllabus, learning implementation plan, observation sheets, interview and evaluation sheets. Through the application of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) obtaining results that completeness cognitive achievement of students has increased from cycle II (31%) and the second cycle (54%).

Abstract

Literasi be one benchmark to determine the quality of education and human resources of a country. Indonesia compared to other Asian countries is included in the sequence below related to literacy. Accordingly, one of the primary schools in Tuban Regency, SDN Sidorejo I has low literacy skills. This is obtained from the result of literacy ability on prasiklus with an average of 13.5. The study aimed to improve literacy ability with tree literasi. Literature tree is chosen because it can build the creativity of learners that includes the power of thought and creativity, and motivate students to always read. In addition, the literacy tree is very simple and easy to implement. Literate trees are expected to improve the literacy ability of learners. This research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of four phases of activity: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The subjects were students of class I SDN Sidorejo I Tuban Semester II Academic Year of 2017/2018. The instruments used in the research are syllabus, learning implementation plan, observation sheet, and literacy skill test. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it can be concluded that the literacy of students in grade I SDN Sidorejo I Tuban has increased with the media literasi tree. In prasiklus, participants' literacy skills are said to have a low category with an average of 13.5. In cycle I, literacy ability of participants is said to have low category with average is 39,2. In cycle II, literacy ability of participants is said to have medium category with average is 55.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang terjadi di kelas IV SDN I Sedayulawas Brondong Lamongan adalah rendahnya hasil belajar yang ditandai dengan rendahnya nilai tes hasil belajar siswa.Sebagian besar siswa kelas IV belum bisa mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM).Proses pembelajaran dapat berhasil jika didukung oleh model pembelajaran yang tepat. Salah satunya melalui model pembelajaran PBL (Problem Based Learning). Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar, aktivitas,dan respon siswamelalui penerapan model PBL (Problem Based Learning) pada mata pelajaran IPA materi energi bunyi kelas IV semester II di SDN I Sedayulawas Brondong Lamongan tahun pelajaran 2015/2016.Jenis penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah instrumen pembelajaran meliputi silabus, RPP, lembar kerja siswa, lembar evaluasi, lembar observasi pengajar,lembar observasi siswa dan angket.Peningkatan aktivitas siswa melalui penerapan model PBL pada mata pelajaran IPA materi energi bunyi kelas IV semester II di SDN I Sedayulawas Brondong Lamongan pada siklus I yang dapat diamati oleh observer sebesar 75% dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II yaitu sebesar 100%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the feasibility of science literacy-based media in students of various styles of material. The results of the PISA and TIMSS survey in this year stated that the scientific literacy skills of Indonesian students are in the low category. One of the efforts that can improve scientific literacy skills is through learning media. Learning media can be in the form of audio, visual, and audiovisual, for grade IV students, visual media can be easily understood by students during learning. The media that will be chosen in this research is comic media based on science literacy. This research uses a development research type. The development of learning media based on scientific literacy is carried out by research and development steps from the Thiagarajan and Semmel models which consist of four steps, namely: defining, planning, developing, and disseminating which will later be used as the research foundation. The development of Upin & Ipin's comic media is based on seven indicators of scientific literacy. This literacy-based comic media was tested with five validators, namely content validation, language validation, graphic validation, scientific literacy validation, and user validation. The results of the validation test stated that 80% of the validation of content experts, 81.25% of language validation, 87.5% of graphic validation, 92.86% of validation of scientific literacy experts, and 95% of user validation. Based on the results of the validation, the content expert validation showed that comic media was included in the feasible category, while for the other four validations it indicated that comic media was included in the very feasible category. Based on the data, it can be concluded that this literacy-based comic media is very feasible in increasing students' scientific literacy skills, especially at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Current learning development. involves a process of learning that makes learners ready to compete in the global world through a skill called 21st century skills and students are no exception. The use of technology in learning is very important in facilitating students in quality learning such as the use of smartphones with Android applications in learning. The study aims to determine the feasibility of implementing android-based learning science concepts in elementary schools in elementary school teacher candidates. This research is a qualitative descriptive study to describe the results of an analysis of the implementation of android-based learning of science concepts in elementary schools to prospective elementary school teachers. The research subjects were 10 students who were conducted at the 2018 Class A PGSD UNIROW students using the observation sheet of Android-based learning implementation and supported by student and teacher interview sheets. Based on the results of the implementation of the learning of science concepts in elementary school, it can be seen that all aspects including aspects of the evaluation of syntax, social systems, and the principles of reaction and management have very good results, which are more than 85%. These results indicate that the development of an Android-based learning device that has been carried out is in accordance with the plan created with its implementation in the field.

Abstract

Penelitian awal telah dilakukan pada peserta didik kelas V SDN Sidorejo 1 Tuban. Penelitian awal ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal literasi sains peserta didik pada materi daur air yang terdiri dari tujuh indikator. Penelitian awal ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian pengembangan petunjuk praktikum IPA berbasis literasi sains untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains khususnya di SDN Sidorejo I Tuban. Tes kemampuan literasi sains terdiri dari tujuh butir soal yang mencakup ketujuh indikator yang ingin dianalisis. Kemampuan awal literasi sains merupakan kemampuan peserta didik sebelum diterapkan suatu penelitian pengembangan. Hasil analisis kemampuan literasi sains menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan peserta didik dalam membuat grafik secara tepat berdasarkan data dan kemampuan memecahkan masalah menggunakan keterampilan kuantitatif, termasuk statistik dasar memperoleh persentase lebih tinggi yaitu sebesar 68,8%. Sedangkan hasil analisis kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik yang lebih rendah adalah kemampuan melakukan penelusuran literatur yang efektif (misalnya mengevaluasi, validasi sumber, dan membedakan diantara tipe sumber-sumber tersebut) dan indikator melakukan inferensi, prediksi, dan penarikan kesimpulan berdasarkan data kuantitatif dengan presentase sebesar 3,1%. Hasil yang diperoleh tersebut sesuai dengan hasil surve PISA tahun 2003, 2006, 2009 dan 2012. Selain itu juga sesuai dengan hasil surve TIMSS tahun 2007 dan 2011. PISA dan TIMSS menyatakan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik Indonesia termasuk dalam kategori rendah.
