Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility and the effectiveness of using a video tracker application for practicum of physics 1 on momentum conservation. This is included in research and development type. Stages carried out in this study include: 1) define, is done by giving questionnaires and interviews, 2) design, includes media selection, format selection and produce the initial product design, 3) development, includes product development and material expert validation assessment, media experts and linguists and limited field testing. The validation test results obtained that the media is feasible to use with a percentage of 88% based on material experts with very good categories, 85% based on media experts with very good categories, and 78% based on linguists with good categories. The effectiveness of media is shown by high average value of the experimental class of 84,06 compared to the control class of 70,97. Student responses to the use of products are categorized very well with a percentage of 89%.

Abstract

Research has been successfully carried out about the effectiveness of learning assisted by props of heat transfer by conduction, convection, and radiation to support the understanding of student concepts. This study uses a quasi-experimental method. This research was conducted at the Universitas PGRI Semarang, S1 Department of Mathematics Education which took Fundamental Physics courses in semester 2 of the 2018/2019 academic year. The research sample was 41 students. Data collection techniques in this study were conducted using tests and questionnaires. Statistical techniques used paired sample t-test. From the research, it was found that the use of heat transfer props in effective learning to support students' conceptual understanding.

Abstract

Research has been carried out using gravity methods to identify subsurface structures in the region of Kota Lama Semarang as a preliminary survey for disaster mitigation purposes. In processing gravity data to identify subsurface structures, several processing stages are carried out. The initial step is to make the initial correction in the form of tide correction and float correction then a further correction is performed until a complete Bouguer anomaly contour is obtained. From the complete Bouguer anomaly, regional and residual gravity anomalies can be separated. The separation of regional anomalies from Bouguer anomalies in this study uses the moving average method while residual anomalies are obtained by subtracting Bouguer anomalies from regional anomalies. In the study of identification of subsurface structures it is important to conduct regional and residual anomaly separations to interpret geological structures and obtain the targets sought. Regional anomaly values in the region of Kota Lama Semarang are between 28.0 mGal - 28.4 mGal while for residual anomalies have between 31.6 mGal - 32.8 mGal.

Abstract

Lately, the era of industrial revolution 4.0 has become a global conversation. Now the world is witnessing technological developments in all sectors. So that these developments bring positive things even in the field of education. However, this is also a challenge for educators 4.0, where technological literacy skills must be possessed. 21st century competence requires that students be directly involved in the learning process that utilizes the internet, where students are not only limited to seeking information, but also carry out online learning. The purpose of this research is to describe e-learning based on virtual classes with google classroom as a medium for learning physics. The method used is a literature study. Basic features of google classroom consist of topics, teaching materials, questions, quiz assignments, and assignments. Optimizing the features of google classroom has an important impact on learning in the era of industrial revolution 4.0, including: (1) learning is done online by utilizing technology, (2) not limited by space and time, (3) students are directly involved in the learning process utilizing the internet, (4) learning material that is easy to access, (5) training data literacy skills and technology literacy. Google classroom is an internet-based service provided by Google with an e-learning system. So that it can be used as an efficient, effective and interactive learning media to support technology-based learning.
