Abstract

The very rapid development of technology has a significant impact on human life today. The aids of facilitating human work are starting to be in great demand. Automation of tools is thought to shorten the time, be more accessible and be faster. Smart Home is one's technologies applications needed today. This study aims to designs an IoT-based innovative home prototype. The resulting intelligent home prototype uses the DHT11 sensor at a room temperature detector, the MQ-2 the sensor as a gas leak detector, an ultrasonic sensor as the object detector, the MC38 magnet sensor as door security, a relay as ON or OFF the lamp switch, buzzer as an alarm, and using a microcontroller. A nodemcu with a Wi-Fi module ESP8266 controlled via Blynk App. Research and Development (R & D) method were research method used. It is hoped that the IoT-based Smart Home technology will be provided convenience to its users in everyday life.

Abstract

The sentiment is the action or point of view of a person based on experience. Evaluation for Offices is one way of getting emotions or feedbacks from clients. A person's response serves as an assessment of the quality of higher education standards. For the administrators to gather feedback from the clients/customers regarding their satisfaction or performance inside the offices or department premise, eSurMent was used as a gathering data tool. The study identifies the strengths and weaknesses of Educational Institution Services based on users' positive and negative responses. It provides a sentiment score from the qualitative data and a numerical response rating from the quantitative evaluation data, and a description of the evaluation results from users. Sentiment analysis is one way of surveys and polls to analyze the responses that researchers found to determine positive and negative reactions from students. Therefore, school administrators will be more aware of the shortcomings of users. Reports generated by the system can be used for self-improvement in the institution. In addition, the results of job evaluations can be used as the basis for opportunities, achievements, or marketing strategies.

Abstract

The Regional Revenue Management Agency of Kebumen Regency is a government agency that manages regional revenue in Kebumen Regency. The design of automatic curtains is expected to make it easier for office employees to use the facilities. This automatic curtain uses a flow chart and programming logic in designing programs for the light intensity of the IR sensor and the LDR sensor as an automatic curtain indicator using a remote. The design of the automatic curtain consists of an IR sensor and an LDR sensor as input, Arduino UNO as a processor, Relay as a component that transmits commands from the Arduino UNO to the motor, and motor as the output of this project. Automatic curtains at BAPEDA Kebumen can make it easier for employees to use office facilities to make them more durable, more comfortable, and more effective during working hours or on holidays because of the automatic curtain system that has been made.

Abstract

One of the wealth of the Indonesian nation is the many types of ornamental plants. Ornamental plants, for example, the Aglaonema flower, which is much favored by hobbyists of ornamental plants, from homemakers, is a problem to distinguish between types of aglaonema ornamental plants with other ornamental plants. So the authors try to research with the latest technology using a deep learning convolutional neural network method. It is for calcifying aglaonema interest. This research is based on having fascinating leaves and colors. With the study results using the CNN method, the products of aglaonema flowers of Adelia, Legacy, Widuri, RedKochin, Tiara with moderate accuracy value are 56%. In contrast, the aglaonema type Sumatra, RedRuby, has the most accuracy a high of 61%.

Abstract

Painting is the application of paint in liquid form onto the object, to create a thin layer which is then dried to form a hard layer or layers of paint. Many things are influential in the painting process, including the clear coat process which functions as a gloss effect and protects and maintains the paint color of the vehicle. In this research, it was expected to know the effect of the ratio between the thinner and accelerator on the clear coat on drying time, thickness, and glossiness of the clear coat. In this study, the mixture ratio variations of accelerator and thinner used were 0%: 100%, 25%: 75%, 50%: 50%, 75%: 25%. The speeds of drying with the aforementioned ratio of accelerator and thinner were 28 mins, 24 mins, 18 mins, and 16 mins respectively, while the values of the thickness of the ratio were 53, 4 µm, 55.6 µm, 54.03 µm, and 57.1 µm respectively, and the glossiness values of the accelerator and thinner with the ratio were 96.1 Gu, 95.4 Gu, 92.5 Gu, and 93.1 Gu respectively.

Abstract

STMIK AKAKOM has 67 lecturers. In each semester, an evaluation is held to determine lecturers’ performance to maintain good institutional quality. The evaluation process is based on students’ and Department Quality-Assurance Team (DQAT) assessments. Up until now, the results of these evaluations were left unprocessed. This study aimed to determine well-performed and less-performed lecturers by combining evaluation results from students and DQAT using the simple additive weighting (SAW) method. There are 17 criteria used in this study with different weight values. The results showed that the technique determined the lecturers’ ranking significantly based on their respective performance. The most well-performed lecturer is L40 with Vi (order for lecturer) value of 0.95, the second is L41 with Vi value of 0.92, and the third one is L25 with Vi of 0.91, while the most under-performed lecturer is L67 with a Vi value of 0.72.

Abstract

The development of the use of advanced technology in the form of computerized applications has become a trend and is widely used in all fields. One of the fields that take advantage of the use of automated technology is the library. However, not all of these applications can run well by the application creation hypothesis. For this reason, application testing is required before implementation to avoid bugs or errors. Consider the application testing phase importance, testing with the black box method was carried out on library applications using the Boundary Value Analysis (BVA) technique in this study. These testing methods and techniques were chosen. When the application is implemented, there will be no more errors caused by differences in the value data during the input process with the stored value data, after testing using the black box method with the BVA technique and documentation of each test. All the library application functions have been running according to the initial application plan made, and there are no more bugs or errors when the application is run.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of modification of the Honda Tiger 2000 on exhaust emissions of CO and HC. The method used is to modify the carburettor venturi piston and replace the rocker arm with a roller rocker arm. The exhaust emission test used a gas analyzer type SUKYOUNG SY-GA 401. The object of the study was a Honda Tiger 2000 motorcycle. The results showed that modification of the Honda Tiger 2000 motorcycle at idle, 1000 rpm, 1500 rpm, and 2000 rpm increased CO emissions but reduced HC emissions. Based on comparing the motorcycle emission threshold values for manufacture ≤ 2010, namely CO emissions exceeding 5.5% and HC emissions less than 2400 ppm. Pertamax Turbo fuel consumption is more efficient than Pertalite with a distance ratio of 45 km requiring 1L Pertamax Turbo and 1.4L Petalite.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of modified copper to reduce carbon monoxide (CO) levels. Copper in the form of a plate shaped like a honeycomb and altered with activated carbon (SiO) and ZSM-5. The test uses a four-stroke 125 CC two-wheeled motor vehicle, fuel using Petalite, gasohol E5, gasohol E10, gasohol E15. The test carried out is the emission test of the effect of fuel variations and modified copper. The use of petalite fuel, variations of honeycomb copper + activated carbon (SiO-C) + ZSM-5 is more effective because it can reduce CO levels the most, which is 3.66% CO at 9000 rpm engine speed. For E5 fuel, the use of a honeycomb-shaped copper exhaust + Titan dioxide (TiO2) + Activated carbon (SiO-C) + ZSM-5 reduces CO levels by 3.42% CO at 9000 rpm engine speed. On the other hand, E10 fuel reduces CO levels by 1.35% CO when using exhaust with honeycomb copper+ TiO2 + SiO-C +ZSM-5.
