Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) the differences of learning outcomes between student’s learning by using PBL model and student’s who learn to use TAI model, (2) the difference of the learning outcome between the use of PBL model and TAI model at learners who have high learning motivation, (3) the difference of the learning outcome between the use of PBL model and TAI model at learners who have low learning motivation and (4) the interaction effect between of learning models and student’s motivation to learning outcomes. This was a quasi-experimental research study employing the factorial 2x2 design. The research population is the XI grade social class of SMA Negeri 1 Ngaglik, totaling 94 student's. The sample was selected using simple random sampling technique. The data analysis used the variant analysis (Anava) two way with significance level of (ɑ) 0.05.

Abstract

Constructivism approach in teaching and learning is based on a synthesis of several research in cognitive psychology and social psychology, as well as techniques of operant conditioning theory in behavioral psychology. The basic premise is that individuals must actively "build" their knowledge and skills (Brunner, 1990) from information obtained in the process of building a learning framework from the environment outside. Teachers will not be able to give all knowledge to their students. Students must construct knowledge in their own minds. The essence of constructivism theory is 'ideas'. Students must find and transform complex information into other situations.

Abstract

The purpose of research is determine the effectiveness of teaching materials based contextual elements of group 15 for the course of inorganic chemistry. The research design is one group pretest-posttet only. Subjects were students of Chemistry Education University of Palangka Raya as many as 47 people. Based on the research results, is obtained percentage of graduated postes amounted to 93.6%, mean of  n-gain score is 0,54 (moderate), and the probability value (p) is 0,000, showed no significant difference between the pretest and posttest. Therefore, teaching materials element of group 15 based on contextual for inorganic chemistry course effective to improve student’s learning result. Desain penelitian yaitu one group pretest-posttet only.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain the online mode of professional development  application in improving teacher competency of learners. The competencies intended in this study are pedagogic competence and professional competence. The research design was carried out in quantitative and qualitative forms. The number of research samples is 30 people. Data collection method used is online media validiation and performance tests. Data analysis used descriptive statistics. The results showed validation in the online mode of continuing professional development of the learning teacher had an average value of total validity = 3.5. Thus, this value is included in the category "Very Valid" (3,5 <   < 4,0). Thus, online learning media teachers are declared to meet the validity criteria. Then there are four online modal coaching categories, namely (a) Knowing online features, (b) Writing down learning features, (c) Writing out the names of activities, and (d) Describing the use of features in each learning activity.

Abstract

Hands-On-Minds-On as a learning approach involves activities and direct experiences with natural environment or educational experiences that actively involve students in manipulating objects to gain knowledge or understanding to reform and improve science learning outcomes by using Hands-On-Minds-On learning model for third grade students at SDN Tengah 07 Pagi. The total number is 42 students, 20 students were taken as sample population. Based on the result of the first pre-cycle research, it was found that 13 students did not reach the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), and students who obtained above the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) were 7 students. From the result of the pre-cycle research, it was found that the value of Class III A is still relatively low with an average score of 60.75. Whereas, the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) for science subject is 65. In the second cycle, teacher includes more learning media, makes classroom situation more enjoyable and provides many opportunities for students to be active in learning process. Finally, the learning outcomes also increase from the average students’ learning outcomes of 78.50 to 85.25. Therefore, it can be concluded that the research cycle I and cycle II can improve the students’ learning outcome on science learning in class III A by using the Hands-On-Minds-On learning model.
