Abstract

The ease of accessing the internet in this modern era has led to illegal crimes, especially data copying, data distribution and abuse of intellectual property rights. From these problems emerged a method of securing data and information, namely watermark. Watermark is used for data security techniques, both for copyright protection and digital signatures in the visible and invisible realms. One of the data security techniques used here is to use the least significant bit (LSB) method. This method is used for data security or images that contain watermarks, for example on currency there is usually a logo to distinguish real and fake currencies. This study uses nine host images taken from the https://www.kaggle.com/datasets/felicepollano/watermarked-not-watermarked-images dataset with different sizes, namely 513 x 513 pixels, 488 x 350 pixels, 467 x 350 pixels, 500 x 333 pixels, 512 x 301 pixels, 490 x 350 pixels, 500 x 332 pixels, 400 x 266 pixels, and 500 x 308 pixels. As for the label image, it uses the uty logo which has a size of 50 x 50 pixels, 80 x 80 pixels, and 124 x 124 pixels. From the results of the watermark test that has been carried out using the LSB method, the average PNSR value is 65 dB, so it can be concluded that the watermark research using the LSB method gets pretty good image results and can be used for data security. Keywords: Watermark, Least Significant Bit, Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PNSR)

Abstract

The continuous mutation of COVID-19 generates new virus variants with nearly identical symptoms, such as sneezing, runny nose, sore throat, cough, fever, loss of taste and smell, and shortness of breath. Since the emergence of this virus in Indonesia, there still needs to be more research on the symptoms caused by the different COVID-19 variants, leaving the public with minimal information that may result in inappropriate early treatment, inefficient costs, and insufficient recovery time. This study aimed to classify COVID-19 patient data into two clusters based on the severity of the symptoms experienced by patients: the confirmed cluster and the unconfirmed cluster. Using Fuzzy C-Means, patient data will be clustered into two confirmed and unconfirmed clusters of covid 19 disease as the initial step in the research phase. The results of this study are anticipated to provide information on variations in the severity of symptoms among infected patients, thereby enhancing the precision of early diagnosis and treatment. The resulting clustering model is based on data collection and processing outcomes using Python and the Fuzzy C-Means algorithm, which is based on experimentation. Keywords: Cluster, COVID-19, Fuzzy C-Means.

Abstract

Misting of plants in a greenhouse has an important role in maintaining the environmental humidity that plants need. Obstacles faced to maintain the humidity of the plant environment is the use of a thermometer as a measuring tool and misting is still manual. Based on these problems, this research presents an automatic misting system for plants in a greenhouse using the fuzzy logic method. The process of taking data on the temperature and humidity of the plant environment in the greenhouse is from the DHT11 sensor value which is read by the microcontroller to be stored in the Firebase cloud database, the temperature and humidity data in the cloud database is sent and displayed in real-time by an android application built with the MIT tool App Inventor 2. Apart from displaying temperature and humidity data from Firebase, the Android application also processes it using fuzzy logic to produce PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) values to set the fog time. The fuzzy logic method was chosen to map input data problems to output data in conducting fog control. From the sensor test, the results obtained from the comparison of DHT11 sensor readings have an average error of 2.73%. The duration of watering is carried out using Fuzzy logic, the total amount of watering in a day is 2,500 ml of water with a duration of 75 seconds, so that the fogging with the fuzzy logic method is in accordance with the conditions needed in the greenhouse room.

Abstract

In facing the level of trade competition, every industry is required to be able to have high competitiveness in order to remain superior, this is no exception on a regional, national and even local industrial scale. PD. Karya Cipta Mandiri is a food processing industry with dried mackerel fish balls as a product. The existence of uncertainty in the company's production that comes from a lack of supply causes a decline in sales and makes the company suffer losses, this is because the company only has relationships with suppliers in only one province, namely Banten. The purpose of this study is to make an in-depth analysis of how the food processing industry for mackerel meatball products manages its activities in its corporate value chain. This is important because through value chain analysis, activities that have and have not added value to a company's competitive advantage can be identified. The analysis used includes analysis of internal conditions carried out in two ways, Resource Analysis and Capability Analysis. The next step is to assess the value chain analysis of the five main activities and four supporting activities. The research results identified two resources and two potential strength capabilities that can be used to help companies determine competitive advantage strategies, while it is known that five strategically relevant potential disadvantages have been identified to become sources of long-term competitive advantage strategies in companies, and it is explained that maintaining ties that can generate profits from the company with suppliers is essential for the company

Abstract

Seismic Risk Management (SRM) is crucial for mitigating the impact of earthquakes, encompassing earthquake preparedness, response planning, building design, and emergency management systems. The 2006 Yogyakarta earthquake in Indonesia resulted in significant loss of life, infrastructure damage, and economic impact, underscoring the importance of Seismic Risk Assessment (SRA) for effective risk reduction. Seismic vulnerability functions are commonly used for SRA, but data collection can be expensive and challenging, and results may be biased due to expert judgment. In Indonesia, variability in house damage state definitions among agencies poses challenges in harmonizing data. This study used expert judgment to harmonize differences in damage state variables resulting from variable references. Data on damage states from five (5) agencies were collected and harmonized through input from earthquake engineering experts via online questionnaires. The resulting data identified five (5) types of damage and reduced variables to nine through harmonization. Twenty (20) experts with diverse backgrounds, including academics, researchers, contractors, consultants, volunteers, and government stakeholders, participated in the study through online questionnaires, and the results were processed and analyzed. The expert judgment method successfully harmonized the differences in damage state variables, ensuring a consistent, reliable, and accurate assessment of building damage, particularly housing damage. The findings of this study underscore the crucial role of expert judgment in harmonizing data for seismic risk assessment. The survey gathered input from experts with diverse backgrounds, including government stakeholders and academics, enriched the study's findings and contributed to a comprehensive understanding of earthquake disaster management. Through expert judgment, the study successfully consolidated variables from different agencies into nine (9) harmonized variables for assessing building damage. Furthermore, experts proposed an additional fourteen (14) factors that need to be considered in residential house damage inspection forms, providing critical information for estimating the extent of damage and informing decisions about repairs or demolition. These variables can be categorized into Rapid Visual Screening (RVS) and observation in more detail, aiding in effective earthquake risk management. However, further validation through comparative literature and field analysis is needed to enhance accuracy and adaptability and explore the potential of incorporating soft computational algorithms in seismic vulnerability assessments as a promising approach.
