Abstract

Lacks of facility and equipments in physics/science experiment is the problem in school activity, due to prising and availability of the equipment. The lack of facility and equipment can cause lower quality of student education. Solutions needed to solve this problem. In this community service, Arduino Uno with sensor physics and data acquisition experiment equipment introduced. Introduction about input-output pin in Arduino, temperature sessor LM35, coding language, and air temperature data acquisition, explained to student and teacher. The results are the experiment well done, learning that interests students to participate actively, additional knowledge for the teacher, and the higher motivation of students and teachers to study further.

Abstract

The Banjar traditional house with a high roof (Bubungan Tinggi) is a traditional house for the royal aristocracy. In modern times, this type of building is used as an architectural design for government buildings. Traditional house as a cultural heritage of local wisdom, where the house is designed to be able to adapt to the environment, so that people who are in it can feel comfortable. In this study, the thermal characteristics of the Banjar high ridge house were studied, using the CFD simulation method. The results obtained that the high ridge roof design is very beneficial in terms of absorption of solar energy, where the roof has a small geometric coefficient (Rb), so it is not exposed to much frontal sunlight. The shape of the high roof will also create a lot of shadows that shade the maximum. In the CFD simulation results, it was found that the high ridge roof became a cumulated place for hot air, due to the difference in pressure and bouyancy force, so that hot air would rise and collect on a higher roof. To avoid the accumulation of more hot air, mechanical modification that can be done is to install a blower that can blow hot air into the environment, so that it can help circulate air in the room.

Abstract

Permintaan minyak nabati di dunia meningkat sehingga permintaan minyak kelapa sawit meningkat tajam pada tahun 2022. Salah satu perusahaan kelapa sawit di Kalimantan Selatan adalah PT. Wijaya Borneo Tiganna yang mengalami kenaikan permintaan produksi yang cukup tinggi. Namun, peningkatan produksi tidak seiring dengan produktivitas pekerja. Banyak kesalahan operator (human error) sehingga mengalami penurunan produktivitas. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh faktor pekerjaan (task) yang berulang-ulang (continuous process) yang dilakukan oleh pekerja dan menyebabkan kesalahan (error) yang dilakukan operator. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis nilai keandalan pekerja sortasi sehingga dapat dipakai sebagai landasan untuk mengidentifikasi peningkatan produktivitas kerja pekerja sortasi PT. Wijaya Borneo Tiganna. Metode yang adalah dengan Human Error Assessment and Reduction Technique (HEART). Ada 3 Jenis rework pada Bagian Sortasi TBS. HEP dengan menggunakan Metode HEART sebesar 1,1103148. Keandalan pekerja dalam mengerjakan task masih dapat diperbaiki dengan keterampilan dan ketelitian dalam proses sortasi serta grading TBS.Kata Kunci:  keandalan, produktivitas, human error dan task

Abstract

The increase in the use of masks during this pandemic has greatly affected work. Wearing mask cuases difficulty in breathing when workers do their work by going up and down stairs. Workers are required to wear masks when checking calcium in reservoirs with the height of about 5 to 10 meters from the ground level at PT. Wijaya Borneo Tiganna. The purpose of this study was to identify the energy consumption of workers wearing masks in working up and down stairs during a pandemic. The method used was Cardiovascular Load (%CVL) and energy consumption of workers before and after wearing masks when going up and down stairs. The results of the study obtained that the %CVL value was 38.37% and was included in the level of need for improvement. The average energy consumption of 3.31 Kcal/minute is included in the light category.

Abstract

Demand for Crude Palm Oil (CPO) at PT. Wijaya Borneo Tiganna for this year has increased. However, the increase in production was not in line with human error of 74% in the Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) Sorting Department from the 80% minimum percentage desired by the company. The purpose of this study was to analyze the reliability value of sorting workers. The method used is the Human Reliability Assessment Method seen from related tasks and context related to identify Human Error Probability (HEP) with a fault tree to provide recommendations for reducing human error. There are 3 types of rework in the TBS Sorting Section. The HEP using the HEART method is 1.1103148 while the CREAM method is 0.10608. The reliability of workers in carrying out tasks can still be improved with skills and accuracy in the sorting and grading of FFB.

Abstract

Saat ini semakin banyaknya industri jamu dan farmasi yang memproduksi obat tradisional. Jamu yang diduga mengandung bahan kimia obat Teofilin sangat mudah didapatkan dipasaran sehingga hal ini dijadikan peluang bagi beberapa pihak untuk mendapatkan keuntungan dengan merugikan orang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi teofilin yang terdapat dalam jamu sesak nafas sediaan serbuk yang beredar di Kota Banjarmasin. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan metode kromatogrfi lapis tipis dan Spektrofotometri Uv-Vis. Hasil pengujian menggunakan KLT dari sampel 1-6 berturut-turut menunjukkan harga Rf  0,9;  0,91; 0,93; 0,91; 0,91; 0,93 dan didapatkan kadar 10,62 ppm, 10,62 ppm, 10,23 ppm, 6,38 ppm, 7,15 ppm, 12,92 ppm. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa sampel jamu positif mengandung bahan kimia obat teofilin. Simpulan dari penelitian masih terdapat jamu yang mengandung bahan kimia obat.

Abstract

The spread of COVID-19 cases is taking place in a very fast time so that it has an impact on all sectors. One of the sectors affected is educational institutions. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 cases, all learning processes are carried out with an online learning system. Online learning causes an increase in sitting activities rather than standing activities, specially activity in front of a smartphone or laptop. Sitting activities that last for a long period of time can result in ergonomic risks. The purpose of the study was to analyze posture using the RULA method. Research was conducted on students of three study programs, namely Industrial Engineering, DIV-Health Promotion and Management with respondents 53 people. This study was conducted with a survey to see the posture of students when attending online lectures. From the results of the study obtained that the posture of students with RULA worksheet is in the range of 4 to 7. For rula score is mostly at a score of 6 as many as 24 students (45.28%). For RULA scores with scores of 5 and 7 as many as 10 people (18.86%). And rula score at a value of 4 as many as 9 people (16.98%).

Abstract

Abstract Safety signs are useful equipment to help protect the safety and health of workers and visitors while in the work environment. Safety signs can be useful for providing attention or warning of an alert attitude towards dangers that are invisible to the eye or warning of caution against actions that are not allowed. The purpose of this study is to find out how the description of the safety sign in the supporting road area of PT. Angkasa Pura I Syamsudin Noor Banjarbaru Airport. The type of research used is a descriptive research method. The method of data collection is carried out by direct observation with the Unit Safety Management System and Occopational Safety Health (SMS & OSH) and for the presentation of data, which is carried out using tables and accompanied by explanations. The results of this study show that in the parking area there are no signs for exit directions. In the front area of the administrative office building and in the mosque area, there are no signs for entry and exit signs. Meanwhile, in the cargo building area, the access road to get in and out of the box car is only one lane. It is recommended that the unit concerned should check further regarding safety signs and signs located in the supporting road area of Syamsudin Noor Airport. The relevant unit should be able to propose safety signs and related signs proposed by researchers for the safety and comfort of airport visitors in the area around the supporting road of Syamsudin Noor Banjarbaru Airport.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) merupakan pilar perekonomian Indonesia yang perlu mendapat perhatian karena dapat menyerap tenaga kerja dan mengurangi pengangguran di tengah persaingan pada pekerjaan sektor formal. Walaupun UMKM menjadi pilar perekonomian Indonesia, untuk pelaksanaan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) di sektor ini masih minim perhatian. Tujuan: Tujuan dari Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pentingnya K3 pada saat bekerja dimana salah satu aspek pentingnya adalah penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD). Metode: Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah dan diskusi tanya jawab. Peserta diberi edukasi tentang pentingnya K3 dan APD saat bekerja untuk menghindari timbulnya Penyakit Akibat Kerja (PAK) di kemudian hari. Hasil: Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) secara garis besar dapat dikatakan baik melihat target peserta sosialisasi saat pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM berlangsung. Para pelaku UMKM yang diundang hampir seluruhnya datang. Sehingga ketercapaian tujuan sosialisasi PkM Masyarakat dikatakan baik (90%). Ada peningkatan pengetahuan dari masyarakat tentang K3 terutama tentang penggunaan APD yang menjadi salah satu aspek penting dalam bekerja. Sehingga diharapkan kedepannya pada saat bekerja, seluruh pelaku UMKM menggunakan APD untuk menghindari efek negatif timbulnya PAK pada masa yang  mendatang. Simpulan: Pada kegiatan PkM ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa para pelaku UMKM telah mengetahui betapa pentingnya penerapan K3 di tempat kerja. Para pelaku UMKM juga diberi arahan terkait penggunaan APD dan selalu mengingat untuk menggunakaan APD pada saat bekerja demi menghindari timbulnya PAK dan terciptanya kesejahteraan pekerja.

Abstract

The development of Syamsudin Noor Airport is expected to have a major impact on the economy of the people of South Kalimantan. However, the construction of airports will have an impact on the environment due to the increasing number of human activities. And to anticipate these adverse effects, Syamsudin Noor Airport applies the concept of Green Building. The purpose of this study is to provide a descriptive picture of the extent to which Syamsudin Noor Airport has implemented the concept of green building. From the observations, Syamsudin Noor Airport has implemented green buildings such as solar panels, the use of bright glass that allows natural light to enter the terminal space, wastewater treatment facilities, green open spaces in the airport terminal area, bicycle parking and shower compartments, room temperature settings that create comfort in working, and the presence of no-smoking signs. With the implementation of green buildings at Syamsudin Noor Airport to meet the service standards set in the Presidential Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 1 of 2009, supporting an environmentally friendly workplace and reducing operational costs.
