Abstract

To measure the stored grain quantity accurately and reliably, the measurement method based on the ground pressure is put forward. According to the randomness of the granary pressure distribution caused by the limited fluidity of the grain, the layout of the pressure on the ground is set up, and the mean pressure on the ground is used to represent the whole ground pressure. At the same time, the pressure distribution on the wall is analyzed and the compensation method is given, which can reduce the sensors used in this method and the cost is low. Lastly, the estimation model of the stored grain quantity based on the ground pressure is put forward, to improve the prediction accuracy of the grain weight, the parameters are estimated based on the ratio of the error. The experiment results shown that, the measurement error is less than 3% by using this method, which can meet the actual need of real-time online monitoring the national grain storage quantity and distribution effectively.

Abstract

For the problem that efficiency is low and cost is high existing in the traditional software testing method, the paper tested software using cloud testing technology. It introduced related technologies including cloud testing, and described the design of overall architecture of the system in details, designed and implemented the scheduling module using a high priority first scheduling based on dynamic priority. The results of the Matlab simulation experiment show that this scheduling algorithm can reduce test cost and realize the automation of software testing under the condition of significantly improving test efficiency and resource utilization.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, implementation of e-Government (e-Gov) is very crucial because it modernizes the public and private sector for the well being of people. To build the electronic based automatic governance for improving the quality of public services is the prime measure for implementation of e-Governance in Bangladesh. Interoperability is a key issue in implementing an e-Government system. To create a general platform for sharing and exchanging information among different institutions is essential for interoperability. Grid Computing based service could be a solution for resource sharing and interoperability of e-Gov systems.  It is important to prepare standard policies and guidelines for e-Governance so that the desired expectations of interoperability between central and local government agencies can be achieved. Bangladesh government needs a specific policy which will deal with interoperability and ensure transparency and accountability in the Grid Computing Model.

Abstract

This paper presents a novel study for SSR mitigating in the wind power systems based on DFIG using GCSC (Gate controlled series capacitor). The GCSC is composed of three pairs of anti-parallel GTO Thyristors (Gate Turn- off) connected in parallel with a fixed capacitor. The GCSC is applied to reduce inrush current in capacitor compensator during the transient operation by executing a proper firing angle control of thyristor gates. In order to realize SSR oscillation when the transient operation occurred, the DFIG turbine is connected through the shaft turbine model. The simulation results shown that the GCSC device is suitable and reasonable for suppressing SSR caused by torsional interaction (TI) and torque amplification (TA) and also damping the subsynchronous oscillation as well. The transient simulations have been carried out using PSCAD/EMTDC program to demonstrate the capability of the GCSC device in mitigating SSR.

Abstract

The last Deckard years developing Inverter technology for renewable energy and high efficiency and more improvement solar and wind power plant. Transformer less inverter technology is best and improves efficiency, power quality and reduces switching loss. single-phase grid connected transformerless photovoltaic (PV) inverter for residential application is presented. The inverter is derived from a boost cascaded with buck converter along with a line frequency unfolding circuitIn this research paper transformer less photovoltaic (PV) inverter is going to be more adopted in order to achieve high benefit.  The selected inverters are the full-bridge inverter with bipolar modulation, full-bridge inverter with DC bypass and the Highly Efficient and Reliable Inverter Concept (HERIC). A low voltage single-phase grid-connected PV system is analyzed to verify the discussions.

Abstract

Objective In this paper, we have done Mahalanobis Discriminant analysis to EEG data of experiment objects which are recorded impersonally come up with a relatively accurate method used in feature extraction and classification decisions. Methods In accordance with the strength of wave, the head electrodes are divided into four species. In use of part of 21 electrodes EEG data of 63 people, we have done Mahalanobis Discriminant analysis to EEG data of six objects. Results In use of part of EEG data of 63 people, we have done Mahalanobis Discriminant analysis, the electrode classification accuracy rates is 64.4%. Conclusions Mahalanobis Discriminant has higher prediction accuracy, EEG features (mainlywave) extract more accurate. Mahalanobis Discriminant would be better applied to the feature extraction and classification decisions of EEG data.

Abstract

For mobile communication system with multi-service of multiple users, spectrum utilization rate is low and user's QoS requirements need to be improved. The paper proposed a cross-layer based on cognitive radio technology and OFDM technology model and designed the core technology of this frame structure model  such as service division, spectrum sensing and spectrum aggregation in detail. Comprehensive judgment through the service needs of different users, and the spectrum holes judgment, not only meet different user’s QoS, but also improve spectrum utilization and increase the system suitability. Finally, the simulation analysis of the model’s performance shows that the model can not only reasonable use of the spectrum holes, and better meet the user’s QoS requirements.

Abstract

Information Technology (IT) governance is used as a structure and control in alignment of IT functions and business goals. One of ABC University’s business goal is to achieve World Class University in 2021. This paper presents a study in one of IT governance’s component, likely structure of IT decisions right or archetype. It is needed to evaluate right applied archetype to achieve the alignment of business goals on five keys of IT decisions, namely IT principles, IT architecture, IT infrastructure, business application needs, and IT investment. COBIT 4.1 and the research of Weill and Ross (CISR) were used as the framework. The study was conducted by collecting data through observation, questionnaires, and interviews, as well as data analysis based on the existing conditions, and respondents’ perception. The analysis shows that there are still weaknesses in the existing IT governance conditions and archetype, so as it’s advisable the appropriate improvement recommendations.

Abstract

An approach to evaluate harmonic contributions at the point of common coupling is presented in this paper. The proposed approach is based on robust partial least squares regression, which estimates system harmonic impedance by utilizing the signals of harmonic voltage and current measured synchronously at the point of common coupling. Consequently according to the IEC Technical Report 61000-3-6 the harmonic emission level of user is calculated. The presented method overcomes the disadvantage of variable dependence in establishing of the system model and reduces or removes the effect of outlying data points. The method is verified through a simulation study and with extensive field measurements.

Abstract

This paper presents solution trajectories for programmed PWM technique to eliminate specific order harmonics in a single phase inverter. Evolutionary algorithm is applied to determine optimum switching angles in order to elmininate low order harmonics for modulation index: -1 £ M £ +1. An implementation using a DE2-115 Cyclone IVE FPGA device is also reported in this paper. The experimental results show that the technique effectively eliminates the specific harmonics, and offers low harmonic distortions on the inverter output after filtering.
