Abstract

Sparsity was prior condition in compressed sensing which had been widely concerned in signal reconstruction. Meanwhile nonsubsampled contourlet proposed as a development to contourlet, not only provided flexible multi-scale, multi-direction sparse image decomposition but also featured with shift-invariance property which was beneficial to image denoising. This paper combined threshold operator in nonsubsampled contourlet domain with non local means filter for image denoising in the compressed sensing framework. Therefore, NSCT-NLmeans based compressed sensing reconstruction was proposed for noisy image. The experiment results showed that NSCT- NLmeans based algorithm outperformed the other multi-resolution and multi-directional transforms in recovering and denoising image simultaneously.

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a range-free localization scheme for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) using four beacon nodes(BNs) equipped with a directional antenna with special transmission capabilities for sending wireless beacon signals throughout the sensor network. Each beacon node rotates with a constant angular speed and broadcasts its angular bearings. A sensor node can determine its location by listening to wireless transmissions from the four fixed beacon nodes. The proposed method is based on an angle-of-arrival estimation technique that does not increase the complexity or cost of construction of the sensor nodes. We present error analysis and the best positions of beacon nodes in the proposed method. Numerical results, obtained by simulating several scenarios, show that the algorithm can reach a good level of convergence. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i6.2705

Abstract

Now a days, with obscene workload and a busy life, many experts face problems which more or less result in loss of their customers or to certain overheads that immobilize the customer's satisfaction process. The software being proposed will facilitates professional from various field like in mechanical designing, interior designing and that of architects. This research proposal most likely acts as an effective tool that can reduce the gap between industrial enterprises and customers in addition to other relevant business groups. It helps to visualize architectural designs and interior designs. Before the physical implementation, a virtual model of a real environment can be designed, enabling designers to virtually implement their idea in the given workspace and then view it in a real environment, enabling designers to view their 3D visualizations on their 2D drawings this help them to initially visualize and reconstruct the design without wasting a large amount of money making it a cost-effective solution. Application is based on my observations of the user's aspirations of an augmented reality in design service, a service that combines different social media functionality, augmented reality (AR) and 3-D modeling that embraces the concept of home design, architecture and mechanical designing process. This study connects all users of relevant concerns to an augmented reality's user-intensive design. The paper provides you with the existential complexity of how the AR can be implemented to enhance the work of architects and designers. The proposed application shows two types of reality, marker-less and more marker-based. The new feature of the project is that no expensive devices are required. It can be used easily through smartphones and tablets. This is a cost-effective solution that mainly reduces the overhead accosted daily by, mechanical designers, interior designers and architects. The software displays all the features that mechanical designers, interior designers and architects may need.

Abstract

In this paper, a new underwater acoustic navigation method is proposed, which is named from Doppler Acoustic Omnirange Beacon (DAOB). It is borrowed from the idea of Doppler VHF Omnirange (DVOR) and based on the Doppler principle. The cause of Doppler effect in the received signal is the motion or position change of one or two sources. The effect of multipath is analyzed, and an improved signal form is presented to solve the rigorous multipath environment underwater. Some simulation is presented to verify the performance.  DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3968

Abstract

Person detection and tracking in crowd is a challenging task. We detect the head region and based on this head region we can detect people from crowd. Individual object detection has been improved significantly in recent times but the crowd detection and tracking contains some challenges. Crowd analysis is a highly focused area for law enforcement, urban engineering and traffic management.  There are a lot of incident occurred in crowd area during some fabulous event. In this research low resolution and verities of image orientation is a key factor as well as overlapping person images in crowd misguided the system. An enhanced system of interest point detection based on gradient orientation information as well as improved feature extraction HOG is used for identifying the human head or face from crowd. We have analyzed different types of images in different varieties and found accuracy 88-90%. In a number of applications, such as document analysis and some industrial machine vision tasks, binary images can be used as the input to algorithms that perform useful tasks. These algorithms can handle tasks ranging from very simple counting tasks to much more complex recognition, localization, and inspection tasks. Thus by studying binary image analysis before going on to gray-tone and color images, one can gain insight into the entire image analysis process.

Abstract

Steganography is one of the categories in information hiding that is implemented to conceal the hidden message to ensure it cannot be recognized by human vision. This paper focuses on steganography implementation in text domain namely text steganography. Text steganography consists of two groups, which are word-rule based and feature-based techniques. This paper analysed these two categories of text steganography based on effectiveness and security evaluation because the effectiveness is critically important in order to determine that technique has the appropriate quality. Meanwhile, the security is important due to the intensity performance in securing the hidden message. The main goal of this paper is to review the evaluation of text steganography in terms of effectiveness and security that have been developed by previous research efforts. It is anticipated that this paper will identify the performance of text steganography based on effectiveness and security measurement.

Abstract

In this paper, we proposed and investigated the Hybrid TPSR two-way half-duplex (HD) relaying communication networks over rayleigh fading channel in the presence of the eavesdropper (E). The system model consists of two sources A and B communicate with each other with helping of intermediate Relay (R). For the system performance analysis, we analyzed and derived the exact and approximate integral-form of the system Non-zero secrecy probability (NZSP) in the case that the E uses the MRC (maximal ratio combining) technique. In addition, the effect of the main system parameters on the system performance is investigated. Finally, all the research results are convinced by the Monte Carlo Simulation. This paper can provide a novel recommendation for relaying communication network manufacture.

Abstract

For the problems which exist in power load prediction, such as nonlinear and high dimension recognition, support vector machine (SVM) is applied to power load prediction technology, based on the theory analysis of SVM and power load prediction. The predictive model of power load is established by SVM, which overcomes the problems to a great extent such as dimension disaster, over-learning, etc. The new thought of power load prediction is proposed which is more accurate, more intelligent and more humanized. The historical load data from a power grid company are used to establish the predictive model, Simulation is done by Matlab, and the predictive precision is improved greatly. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4834
