Abstract

The TDD-LTE system information which is also necessary to communicate each other well is a kind of important message between user equipment(UE) and eNodeB. Some important parameters are provided by system information to enable the UE to camp on a cell normally and access to common channel. The system information,of course, can provide the mobility management for UE in idle mode.  On the base station side, there are two kinds of scheduling methods of in the TDD-LTE system, and they are fixed scheduling and dynamic scheduling. The MasterInformationBlock (MIB) and the System Information Block Type1 use the fixed scheduling, while the dynamic scheduling is applied to other System Information Blocks (SIB2~SIB13); and these system information are transmitted on the Downlink Shared Channel(DL-SCH). In consideration of using the radio resources reasonably and not affecting other downlink transmitted data,we proposed a dynamic scheduling strategy of system information based on the base station side. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3309

Abstract

Aiming at the problems of multidimensional comfort for high-speed train, on the base of systematic analysis of mutual effects among evaluation indexes, the comprehensive evaluation methods of multidimensional comfort for high-speed train based on Fuzzy-ANP have been established by fuzzy theories and network hierarchy analysis. The weight of calibrated evaluation indexes can be calculated by the hierarchy structure and judgment matrix of evaluation indexes. Meanwhile, the quantitative value of comfort indexes can be determined according to the effect on the comfort for high-speed train. The fuzzy evaluation matrix can be established and the evaluation value of comfort for high-speed train can be achieved to realize the calibration of comfort level. Though the example analysis, the effectiveness of the methods can be further proved and the strong theory support can be provided for the comfort evaluation for high-speed train. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i5.5121

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to design and implement the electronic sector of satellite camera on the basis of systematic calculations as well as presenting the general and detailed block diagram. The main parts of the designed camera consist of four units named “optics, detector, processors, and memory” that can work in one of three modes: real-time, storage and storage-send. Verification of the simulation and practical results are shown completely by receiving images.  According to the conditions of the satellite imaging, in most cases, there is a need to improve the image quality. A very important feature in the satellite images is contrast enhancement. In the following, a powerful contrast enhancement algorithm is proposed based on histogram equalization method called the “entropy-based triple dynamic clipped histogram equalization” (ETDCHE). One of the strengths of this paper is using images with diverse variations in brightness. Such that by producing clear images and by preserving maximum details this overcomes the adverse lighting conditions and leads to natural enhancement of the output images. Also, the performance assessment of the proposed method in terms of the average information content reflects the considerable superiority of the proposed algorithm compared to the previously presented methods based on histogram equalization.

Abstract

Rate of employment is a strong indicator of economic stability of a country. It relates to the number of volumes of produced products and services. If the unemployment rate is high, the amount of gross domestic product (GDP) of a country may be declined. One of the main factors that contributes to low rate of employment is the mismatch between job seeker and the requirement of the job applied.  This is due to the limited analysis performed on the relevant information on job advertisement; such as, skills, responsibilities of the job, location and expectation of the employers. The obscure job descriptions provided in the advertisement may result in application of unsuitable candidates that can cause rejection of the candidate and the potential employer may take a long time to filter and evaluate the applications. A system that is able to provide relevant information in a simple and catchy way is needed to simplify the task of job searching. In this paper we proposed a text analytics technique to extract users’ comments from social media such as Twitter and Facebook on job advertisement. The result is then displayed in a geotagged map that can reveal the density of job availability based on geographical location. The job seekers can easily observe and select their desired job location. The initial system shows potential of the inclusion of the proposed approach in job advertisement websites. In comparison to other job searching websites, this system can provide additional information on public view about the advertised job obtained from the social media text analytics. With this additional information, jobseekers have more confidence in job selection and allows employers to receive more suitable candidates for the available positions. It is hoped that the proposed system can tailor the job advertisements to the need of the jobseeker and making the job application more relevant hence reducing the potential employers’ processing time.

Abstract

The limited use lifetime is a significant drawback of the solid state disk (SSD). When the P/E cycles exceed the nominal endurance limit, the entire SSD is rendered non-functional as worn out. As the low endurance, the MLC Flash based SSD is not suitable used in lifetime-aware applications and the total-byte-written of conventional MLC SSD is much less than SLC SSD. In this paper, we proposed an Adaptively Level Adjusting Scheme to use the MLC Flash dynamically to storage different amount of data levels through the entire lifetime. The result shows that the MLC SSD adopting this method could be totally written 4.8X more data than conventional MLC SSD and 16.5% more than SLC SSD. Another simple method named Post Life Slavaging Scheme is also proposed to benefit from the post life of a MLC SSD. It can extend the real P/E endurance by 2X when the user capacity reduced to 92% of original cacapcity.

Abstract

According to principle of transient electromagnetic method as well as its signal characteristics, this paper designed and implemented a time-domain airborne electromagnetic weak signal data acquisition system. With the use of the floating-point amplification technology, the system amplifies the weak transient electromagnetic signal dynamically. CPLD and DSP were used as the decoding control circuit and the main controller for processing the sampled data, respectively. The transient electromagnetic signal acquisition system, which was designed with a dynamic range up to 144dB and a sampling rate up to 100 kHz, meets the requirements of the high sampling rate with high precision and it has been applied in the time-domain fixed-wing airborne electromagnetic mineral exploration. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.4144

Abstract

World has become very small due to software internationationalism. Applications of machine translations are increasing day by day. Using multiple languages in the social media text is an developing trend. .Availability of   fonts in the native language enhanced the usage of native text in internet communications. Usage of   transliterations of language   has become quite common. In Indian scenario current generations are   familiar to talk in native language but not to read and write in the native language, hence they started using English representation of native language in textual messages. This paper describes the   identification of the transliterated text in cross lingual environment .In this paper a Neural network model   identifies the prominent language in the text and hence the same can be used to identify the meaning of the text in the concerned language. The model is based upon Recurrent Neural Networks that found to be the most efficient in machine translations. Language identification can serve as a base for many applications in multi linguistic environment. Currently the South Indian Languages Malayalam, Tamil are identified from given text. An algorithmic approach of Stop words based model is depicted in this paper. Model can be also enhanced to address all the Indian Languages that are in use.

Abstract

With the complexity increase in industrial production process, the traditional Proportion-Integration-Differentiation(PID) control can not meet the requirements of the control system performance. Because neural network has the ability of adaptive, self-learning and nonlinear function approximation, control equality of system is improved if it is combined with traditional PID. In the paper, Hopfield neural network based on Hebb rules is used to identify the parameters of system, and then the state space model is established. Hopfield Neural network has the function of optimal calculation, PID controller based on Hopfield neural network is designed for a system can optimize the parameter of PID in real-time and improve control accuracy. Simulation result show the performance index is greatly improved. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4925
