Object customization in Computer Aided Design (CAD) is a method used to modify the sketch parameters and change the model geometries. This method is one of important features in part modelling which empowered CAD user to simply modify their product. The conventional method of modifying CAD model is usually relied on the manual editing. This paper outlines a development of program than can be integrated in CAD/CAM system for real time object customization. It uses Visual Basic (VB) programming with custom Graphical User Interface (GUI) generated in NX10 (CAD/CAM software) interface. The main contribution of this research is a tool for real time object customization that capable to assist the modification of 3D model. In order to develop the tool, 3D model modification instructions are translated into programming codes by using Journaling tools in NX interface. Editable parameters are identified based on the model shapes. The related codes are reconstructed, modified and linked to the functional GUI. This allows user to simply modify the model shapes in real time with minimum process steps. The performance of the method is evaluated in terms of the reduction of process steps and time in modifying the 3D model in CAD system. All the findings and details of approach are presented.

In this study, we purpose a common fuzzy multiple criteria decision making model. A brand new concept - fuzzy time weighted scheme is adopted for considering in the model to establish a fuzzy multiple criteria decision making with time weight (FMCDMTW) model. A real case of fuzzy multiple criteria decision making (FMCDM) problems to be considering in this study. The performance evaluation of auction websites based on all criteria proposed in related literature. Obviously, the problem under investigated is a FMCDM problem with historic data and recent data. Since the evaluated criteria proposed in the literature cannot be defined precisely and numerically, fuzzy linguistic terms can be used to aggregate them numerically. It not only conforms to human cognition but also benefits interpretation. Furthermore, notice that the literature considered contains certain amount of historic data. Equally weighted historic data is usually considered in FMCDM problems, and this approach would introduce bias owing to the collected data for a certain long time period. As a result, fuzzy time weighted technique is adopted to resolve this issue. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i11.3540

Aiming at the problem that existing femtocell base station searching the optimal clustering scheme based on the clustering resource allocation algorithm is complex. we propose that building an conflict graph and adjacency matrix before clustering to calculate the number of clusters needed for FBS group by using the adaptive clustering heuristic algorithm. We follow maximization the sum of the FBS distances in the cluster and group the femtocell base stations to narrow the search range to reduce the computational complexity. In order to achieve different business types service, based on the above clustering algorithm, this paper proposes a new method that using the weighted energy efficiency, which including the user interruption and the network spectral efficiency as a fitness function of the power control scheme to solve the problem. The simulation results show that the same rate requirement reduces the complexity, while the same complexity increases the user's average rate.

This paper presents the task of Author Identification for KadazanDusun language by using tweets as the source of data to perform Author Identification task of short text on KadazanDusun, which is considered as one the under-resourced language in Malaysia. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate Author Identification of short text on KadazanDusun. Besides, this paper also examines the performance of two machine learning algorithms on the KadazanDusun data set by analyzing the stylometric features. Stylometric features are used to quantify the writing styles of the authors which includes character n-grams and word n-grams. The workflow of Author Identification implements the machine learning approach to solve the single-labelled multi-class problem and predict the author of a given message in KadazanDusun. Two classifiers are used to compare the accuracy including Naïve Bayes and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The results show that the combination of n-grams which is word-level unigram and {1-5}-grams with character 3-grams are the most relevant stylometric features in identifying the author of KadazanDusun message with an accuracy of 80.17%. The results also show that SVM classifier has outperformed Naive Bayes in this Author Identification task with the accuracy of 80.17%.

Research results will be different when the boundary condition is changed. In this work, the finite element model of the linear rolling guide of the NC machine tool is established. Then the natural frequencies and the corresponding vibration modals of the linear rolling guide model are obtained with two different boundary conditions. One boundary condition is that the movable joint surface of the linear rolling guide is considered, and regardless of the influence of the bolt joint surface of the guide. And another boundary condition is that the movable joint surface of the linear rolling guide and the influence of bolt joint surface of the guide are all considered. By comparing the modal characters of the two states, it is proved that the movable joint and bolted interfaces of the guide have certain effects on the dynamic performance of the linear rolling guide. For the experiment, the linear rolling guide also has been tested in two ways, the slider excited and the sliding guide excited respectively. Comparing the results obtained from numerical simulation and experiment, the validity of finite element model and the influence of the boundary conditions on the interface of the linear rolling guide are verified. This will help the dynamic analysis on the linear rolling guide and other research objects. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1920

The successful design and application of the physical layer techniques of the wireless network, including MIMO, adaptive OFDM, and mining antenna, to name a few, need the detailed knowledge of the spatial characteristics of the transmitted signals. This paper provides a modal approach to quantify the spatial distribution of the waves in tunnels in detail. We develop the modal theory for propagation in a tunnel with imperfect walls, which are lossy, rough, and tilted. And then, we discuss the transmission power of the antenna as a function of the angles of departure (AOD). On this basis, we take the half-wave dipole antenna as an example to analyse by simulations. The theoretical results show that the angular power distribution in the rectangular tunnel follows Gaussian distribution. The angle spread (AS) of the waves can be influenced by the tunnel walls. The roughness of the wall surface is most important in small tunnels and at low frequencies, whereas the wall tilt is most important in large tunnels and at high frequencies.

According to Global Adult Tobacco Survey 2016-17, 61.9% of people quitting tobacco the reason was the warnings displayed on the product covers. The focus of this paper is to automatically display warning messages in video clips. This paper explains the development of a system to automatically detect the smoking scenes using image recognition approach in video clips and then add the warning message to the viewer. The approach aims to detect the cigarette object using Tensorflow’s object detection API. Tensorflow is an open source software library for machine learning provided by Google which is broadly used in the field image recognition. At present, Faster R-CNN with Inception ResNet is theTensorflow’s slowest but most accurate model. Faster R-CNN with Inception Resnet v2 model is used to detect smoking scenes by training the model with cigarette as an object.

Good mental health is important in our daily life. A person commonly finds stress as a barrier to enhance an individual’s performance. Be reminded that not all people have the same level of stress because different people have dissimilar problems in their life. In addition, different level of age and gender will affect unequal amount of stress. Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal is an electrical indicator of the heart that can detect changes of human response which relates to our emotions and reactions. Thus, this research proposed a non-intrusive detector to identify stress level for both gender and different classification of age using the ECG. A total of 30 healthy subjects were involved during the data acquisition stage. Data acquisition which initialize ECG data were divided into two conditions; which are normal and stress states. ECG data for normal state only need the participant to breath in and out normally. In other hand, the participants also need to undergo Stroop Colour word test as a stress inducer to represent ECG in stress state. Then, Sgolay filter was selected in the pre-processing stage to remove artifacts in the signal. The process was followed by feature extraction of the ECG signal and finally classified using RR Interval (RRI), different amplitudes of R peaks and Cardioid graph were used to evaluate the performance of the proposed technique. As a result, Class 5 (age range between 50-59 years old) marks the highest changes of stress level rather than other classes, while women are more affected by stress rather than men by showing tremendous percentage changes between normal and stress level over the proposed classifiers. The result proves that ECG signals can be used as an alternative mechanism to recognize stress more efficiently with the integration of gender and age variabilities.
