It is worth mentioning that the use of wireless systems has been increased in recent years and supposed to highly increase in the few coming years because of the increasing demands of wireless applications such as mobile phones, Internet of Things (IoT), wireless sensors networks (WSNs), mobile applications and tablets. The scarcity of spectrum needs to be into consideration when designing a wireless system specially to answer the two following questions; how to use efficiently the spectrum available for the available networks in sharing process and how to increase the throughput delivered to the serving users. The spectrum sharing between several types of wireless networks where networks are called cognitive networks is used to let networks cooperate with each other by borrowing some spectrum bands between them especially when there is an extra band that is not used. In this project, the simulation of spectrum sensing and sharing in cognitive networks is performed between two cognitive networks. This project discusses the performance of probability of energy detected (Pd) with different values of false alarm (Pf) and Signal-To-Noise Ratio (SNR) values to evaluate the performance of the sensing and sharing process in cognitive networks. The results show that when the request of sharing spectrum increased, the full sharing process occurs for a long time and the error rate decreases for small values of SNR.

Analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) are required to convert the real world analog signals into digital signals, as digital signals are more robust and easier to handle. Signal processing is increasingly being done in the digital domain along with the escalating levels of integration have forced ADC to reside on the same chip as digital circuits. The study describes the design method of 3-bit ADC using CEDEC 0.18 μm CMOS process. The designed ADC consists of; voltage divider, comparator and 7-bit encoder circuits. The pre-simulation has done with ELDO simulator with low power supply voltage (VDD) 1.8 V. The simulated results showed that the designed 3-bit ADC is able to convert analog signals to digital signals.

Energy and memory limitations are considerable constraints of sensor nodes in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The limited energy supplied to network nodes causes WSNs to face crucial functional limitations. Therefore, the problem of limited energy resource on sensor nodes can only be addressed by using them efficiently. In this research work, an energy-balancing routing scheme for in-network data aggregation is presented. This scheme is referred to as Energy-aware and load-Balancing Routing scheme for Data Aggregation (hereinafter referred to as EBR-DA). The EBRDA aims to provide an energy efficient multiple-hop routing to the destination on the basis of the quality of the links between the source and destination. In view of this goal, a link cost function is introduced to assess the quality of the links by considering the new multi-criteria node weight metric, in which energy and load balancing are considered. The node weight is considered in constructing and updating the routing tree to achieve dynamic behavior for event-driven WSNs. The proposed EBR-DA was evaluated and validated by simulation, and the results were compared with those of InFRA and DRINA by using performance metrics for dense static networks.

This paper talks about the analysis of a high frequency series resonant inverter for using domestic and industrial induction heating purpose. It is a technique i.e. used for heat conductive materials hard and soft metals. Series Resonant inverters which operate at high frequency preferable for induction heating which normally works in 5-55KHz. High frequency series resonant inverters which is made up of Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT). Power control is obtained by Hysteresis Current Control and filter design is incorporated in the input power supply. Soft switching techniques is performed which minimizes switching losses and proper filter design minimizes harmonic injection in the power supply.

Performance profiling and testing is one of the interesting topics in the big data management and Cloud Computing. In testing, we use test cases composed to different type of queries to evaluate the performance aspects of the information retrieval system for large scale information collection. This test scenarioperforms the evaluation ofretrieval accuracy for all kind of ambiguity and non factoid queries with result set as Training data. This stands difficult to evaluate the retrieval method in order to schedule or optimize the Recommendation and prediction technique of the IR method to the Real time queries. The Queries is considered as requirement specification which has to supply to search engine or web information provider applications for information or web page retrieval. In this paper, we propose a novel technique named as “Test Retrieval Framework“a performance profiling and testing of the web search engines on the information retrieved towards non factoid queries. In this technique, we apply expectation maximization algorithm as an iterative method to find maximum likelihood estimate. We discuss on the important aspects in this work based on Recommendation models integrating domain and web usage, Query optimization for navigational and Transactional queries, Query Result records. The Experimental results demonstrates the proposed technique outperforms of state of arts approaches in terms of set based measures like Precision, Recall and F measure and rank based measures like Mean Average Precision and Cumulative Gain.

In order to improve network intrusion detection precision, this paper proposed a network intrusion detection model based on simultaneous selecting features and parameters of support vector machine (SVM) by particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. Firstly, the features and parameters of SVM are coded to particle, and then the PSO is used to find the optimal features and SVM parameters by collaboration among particles, lastly, the performance of the model was tested by KDD Cup 99 data. Compared with other network models, the proposed model has reduced input features for SVM and has significantly improved the detection precision of network intrusion. In Malaysia, railway is considered as the backbone of transport, connecting people from all across the country. With the current state of economy, more people prefer to choose train as main transportation especially in big city area such as Kuala Lumpur. With lower cost and relatively the safest form of transports compared to the other transports, like cars, motorcycles or busses, it is a wise choice to use train as daily commute transport. Nowadays, the rail traffic network in Malaysia are getting busier with trains traveling at higher speeds and carrying more passengers with heavier axle loads than before. With the increase of passenger, the risk involved in daily train operation will significantly increase. An improved safety system is required to keep up with the ever growing train loads. The proposed safety system is applied to alert the train operators. The whole system is comprised of an ultrasonic sensor connected to a database and an Atmega328P microcontroller mounted on a custom PCB board. It is found that the train in this country requires a distance of 77 meter in order to completely stop the train with regards to a few assumptions on the average mass and the speed of the train.

This research presents student online marketplace for university community. In this study, we identify current issues faced by university students while starting their business. Based on the preliminary investigation, it was found out that there are a number of students doing part-time jobs and doing business to support their living expenses. There are varieties of businesses and services offered among students especially students staying in colleges. However, the main problem faced by students either as the buyer or the seller is there is no business platform to promote their products or services. Al-so, there is a lack of information regarding the business or services since most communications are done through h instant messaging apps such as WhatsApp and social media. By having a student online marketplace, the exchange of goods and services take place by having buyers and sellers being in contact with one another. This student online marketplace also helps small businesses to boost their sales, encourage new business start-up and inspire students who have business idea to help them to kick-start their business. Students are able to perform their business in a safe and secure environment.

The disadvantage of patching algorithm is that the generating multicast flow disorder and cycle patch algorithm solved the above problems. Improved Batch processing cycle patch algorithm has better treatment effect for large scale emergency request, and has a good effect in demand on demand for hot programs or prime time, can effectively increase the number of users. The main function of the LiveMedia library is implemented on a variety of media types and coding format support. The paper presents development of video on demand server based on LiveMedia and improved cycle patch algorithm. The test curve showed that patch cycle algorithm can provide service for more users in the same bandwidth, can effectively increase the number of concurrent users. This paper focuses on one of the areas of information hiding which is image steganography. It proposes the StegSVM model as an embedding technique in steganography that has exploited human visual system through Shifted LSB that shows an expected performance. The performance of this technique evaluation is based on imperceptibility and robustness of the technique compared to the other previous models in image steganography doamin. Thus, the result shows that the proposed StegSVM model is promising. For further work, it is suggested that the other image domain through other intelligent methods should be investigated.
