This paper aims, a 3D-Pilot Aided Multi-Input Multi-Output Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) Channel Estimation (CE) for Digital Video Broadcasting -T2 (DVB-T2)for the 5 different proposed block and comb pilot patterns model and performed on different antenna configuration. The effects of multi-transceiver antenna on channel estimation are addressed with different pilot position in frequency, time and the vertical direction of spatial domain framing. This paper first focus on designing of 5- different proposed spatial correlated pilot pattern model with optimization of pilot overhead. Then it demonstrates the performance comparison of Least Square (LS) &Linear Minimum Mean Square Error (LMMSE), two linear channel estimators for 3D-Pilot Aided patterns on different antenna configurations in terms of Bit Error Rate. The simulation results are shown for Rayleigh fading noise channel environments. Also, 3x4 MIMO configuration is recommended as the most suitable configuration in this noise channel environments.

This paper presents a method to detect multiple human body postures using Kinect sensor. In this study, a combination of shape features and body joint points are used as input features. The Kinect sensor which used infrared camera to produce a depth image is suitable to be used in an environment that has varying lighting conditions. The method for human detection is done by processing the depth image and joint data (skeleton) which able to overcome several problems such as cluttered background, various articulated poses, and change in color and illumination. Then, the body joint coordinates found on the object are used to calculate the body proportion ratio. In the experiment, the average body proportions from three body parts are obtained to verify the suitableness of golden ratio usage in this work. Finally, the measured body proportion is compared with Golden Ratio to determine whether the found object is a real human body or not. This method is tested for various scenarios, where true positive human detection is high for various postures. This method able to detect a human body in low lighting and dark room. The average body proportions obtained from the experiment show that the value is close to the golden ratio value.

MapReduce is the preferred computing framework used in large data analysis and processing applications. Hadoop is a widely used MapReduce framework across different community due to its open source nature. Cloud service provider such as Microsoft azure HDInsight offers resources to its customer and only pays for their use. However, the critical challenges of cloud service provider is to meet user task Service level agreement (SLA) requirement (task deadline). Currently, the onus is on client to compute the amount of resource required to run a job on cloud. This work present a novel makespan model for Hadoop MapReduce framework namely OHMR (Optimized Hadoop MapReduce) to process data in real-time and utilize system resource efficiently. The OHMR present accurate model to compute job makespan time and also present a model to provision the amount of cloud resource required to meet task deadline. The OHMR first build a profile for each job and computes makespan time of job using greedy approach. Furthermore, to provision amount of resource required to meet task deadline Lagrange Multipliers technique is applied. Experiment are conducted on Microsoft Azure HDInsight cloud platform considering different application such as text computing and bioinformatics application to evaluate performance of OHMR of over existing model shows significant performance improvement in terms of computation time. Experiment are conducted on Microsoft Azure HDInsight cloud. Overall good correlation is reported between practical makespan values and theoretical makespan values.

Wireless sensor has attained wide interest across various industries due to availability of low cost sensor device. Preserving battery/energy of these sensor device is most desired. Recently, many approaches has been presented to improve lifetime of sensor network adopting clustering technique. Cluster head selection play an important factor in improving lifetime of cluster based network. For improving cluster head selection multi-objective function are presented in recent time by adopting evolutionary computing and metaheuristic algorithm. However, the existing model incurs computation overhead due to NP-Hard problem and connectivity issues is not considered. Thus affecting network performance. To address the research issues, this work present a novel Multi-objective imperialist competitive algorithm (MOICA) for cluster head selection and routing optimization. Experiment are conducted to evaluate the performance of MOICA over LEACH in term of lifetime performance considering first sensor node death and 75% sensor node death. The outcome shows MOICA achieves significance improvement over LEACH based protocols.

Dyslexia is referred as learning disability that causes learner having difficulties in decoding, reading and writing words. This disability associates with learning processing region in the human brain. Activities in this region can be examined using electroencephalogram (EEG) which record electrical activity during learning process. This study looks into performance of Support Vector Machine (SVM) using RBF kernel in classifying EEG signal of Normal, Poor and Capable Dyslexic children during writing words and non-words. Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) with Daubechies order 2 was employed to extract the power of beta and theta waves of EEG signal. Beta and Theta/Beta ratio form the input features for classifier. Multiclass one versus one SVM was used in the classification where RBF kernel parameters and box constraint values were varied with the factor of 10 to analyze performance of the classifier. It was found that the best performance of SVM with 91% overall accuracy was obtained when both kernel scale and box constraint are set to one.

As electricity demand escalated with supply, though there are lot of thermal power station, nuclear energy and other conventional power sources. Yet, there is exhaustion in the above assets and adding dangerous impacts to the atmospheric conditions. The world searches for sustainable power source that it is normally accessible such as sun and wind. Apart from all the renewable energy resources, solar energy is readily harnessed for domestic application to meet demand. To increase the power conversion efficiency from the solar PV system it is better have a perfect DC to DC converters. The proposed outcome of this paper is to outline the DC to DC converter with MPPT algorithms to concentrate on extreme productivity at roof-top for solar PV application which decreases the cost of energy. In addition to that it also prevents panel miss matching at all environmental conditions for safer DC Voltage with flexible site design especially for domestic applications from the solar photovoltaic module. It is necessary to analyze the converters and MPPT algorithms under closed loop condition for the design and installation of solar PV system to the load or to the grid. This review summarizes few DC to DC converter topologies, maximum power point tracking algorithm and also paid attention on the advantages and disadvantages of these algorithms and topologies.

Due to high demand of using cordless mobile device, the interest in wireless energy transfer (WET) has been growth intensively. This paper presented a method to obtained optimum transmitter receiver ratio for maximum performance of WET system using different initial antenna size at various distance. An optimized algorithm has been developed to determine the optimum ratios that yield the highest wireless transfer efficiency (WTE) at near field communication (NFC) frequency, 13.56MHz. 30mm x 30mm single square loop antenna is used as initial size of both transmitter and receiver using FR4 with operating distance = 50mm. Operating distance and initial size of the antenna will be varied and the effect to the WTE will be studied using Matlab, verified using Microsoft Studio CST. At distance = 50mm and initial size of the antenna = 30mm x 30mm, optimum transmitter to receiver ratio equal to 1:3 is obtained. The pattern of optimum transmitter receiver ratio between Matlab and CST has met an agreement. This research limited to integer transmitter receiver ratio used only and no decimal number being involved in magnify the transmitter size.
