Abstract

The compatibility of WSN is with various applications such as; healthcare and environmental monitoring. Whereas nodes present in that network have limited ‘battery-life’ that cause difficulty to replace and recharge those batteries after deployment. Energy efficiency is a major problem in the present situation. In present, many algorithms based on energy efficiency have been introduced to improvise the conservation of energy in WSN. The LEACH algorithm improvises the network lifetime in comparison to direct transmission and multi-hop, but it has several limitations. The selection of CHs can be randomly done that doesn’t confirm the optimal solution, proper distribution and it lacks during complete network management. The centralized EE optimized cluster establishment approach (OCEA) for sensor nodes is proposed to decrease the average energy dissipation and provide significant improvement. The proposed EE WSN model with the sensor nodes is examined under a real-time scenario and it is compared with state-of-art techniques where it balances the energy consumption of the network and decreasing the cluster head number.

Abstract

Recent studies show that social media has become an integral part of everyone's daily routine. People often use it to convey their ideas, opinions, and critiques. Consequently, the increasing use of social media has motivated malicious users to misuse online social media anonymity. Thus, these users can exploit this advantage and engage in socially unacceptable behavior. The use of inappropriate language on social media is one of the greatest societal dangers that exist today. Therefore, there is a need to monitor and evaluate social media postings using automated methods and techniques. The majority of studies that deal with offensive language classification in texts have used English datasets. However, the enhancement of offensive language detection in Arabic has gotten less consideration. The Arabic language has different rules and structures. This article provides a thorough review of research studies that have made use of artificial intelligence (AI) for the identification of Arabic offensive language in various contexts.

Abstract

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have sparked a lot of interest in the wireless networking community as an emerging subject in aerial robotics. The UAV environment can be used to improve UAV communications in various ways. These smart devices cater for a broad variety of wireless technologies and applications because of UAV's inherent features related to versatile mobility in 3D space, autonomous operations as well as intelligent positioning. This study will investigate the convergence synergies between 5G/B5G mobile systems and UAV technologies, with the UAV being integrated into current cellular networks as a modern aerial user equipment (UE). In this integration, UAVs play the function of cellular flying customers, and are hence referred to as cellularly linked UAVs (a.k.a. UAVUE, drone-UE, 5G-connected drone, or aerial user). The major goal of this research is to provide a thorough analysis of the integration task, as well as major technical breakthroughs from 5G/B5G and current work in prototyping architecture and field trials that support cell-based UAVs. This study examines recent 3GPP standards advances as well as socio-economic challenges that must be addressed before this promising technology can be properly implemented. There are already some accessible issues clearing the way for potential study opportunities.

Abstract

Website is a necessity for organizations to enable users worldwide to access their information and gain a competitive edge over others. The diversity of websites makes assessing website quality a difficult task. The aim of this paper is to identify the issues faced in the quality evaluation of university websites, the models and the factors used for evaluating university website quality. Systematic literature review was used to identify and synthesize related scholarly research papers. Findings show that there is a lack of study on university website quality compared to business websites; website designers did not have the appropriate knowledge on the interface design; and the website quality evaluation is complex since there is no specific evaluation model. Webqual 4.0 model was used to evaluate the quality of universities' websites. From 24 studies, initially 79 quality factors were extracted. After performing comparison, filtration and memoing, six quality factors were identified: information quality, specific content, usability, web appearance, service interaction quality, and functionality. This study makes a useful contribution in developing university website quality model by extending the Webqual 4.0 model.

Abstract

One of the things that must be considered when establishing a data exchange connection is to make that communication confidential and hide the file’s features when the snoopers intercept it. In this work, transformation (encoding) and steganography techniques are invested to produce an efficient system to secure communication for an audio signal by producing an efficient method to transform the signal into a red–green–blue (RGB) image. Subsequently, this image is hidden in a cover audio file by using the least significant bit (LSB) method in the spatial and transform domains using discrete wavelet transform. The audio files of the message and the cover are in *.wav format. The experimental results showed the success of the transformation in concealing audio secret messages, as well the remarkability of the stego signal quality in both techniques. A peak signal-to-noise ratio peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) scored (20-26) dB with wavelet and (81-112) dB with LSB for cover file size 4.96 MB and structural similarity index metric structural similarity index metric (SSIM) has been used to measure the signal quality which gave 1 with LSB while wavelet was (0.9-1), which is satisfactory in all experimented signals with low time consumption. This work also used these metrics to compare the implementation of LSB and WAV.

Abstract

In recent time, the applications' diversity of wireless sensor network (WSN) attracts many researchers. WSN comprises of many sensor nodes with limited battery power. Therefore, energy consumption should be controlled to the optimum. Clustering is an efficient solution for energy management in WSN, but clustering does not consider the sink node location. It will cause the energy hole problem in multi-hop routing. Energy hole problem was solved by unequal clustering. A review of various unequal clustering mechanisms is presented in this paper. The comparison between the various mechanisms was based on cluster head election process, cluster properties, simulation parameters and energy efficiency to highlight a more efficient and scalable unequal clustering algorithm for WSN.

Abstract

This study has outlined the fiber bragg grating (FBG) temperature sensors signal processing for data communications by using OptiGrating simulation software. The reflectivity of the silica and sapphire fiber grating spectrum is reported against the grating wavelength for internal and external temperature variations. As well as apodized Gaussian reflectivity of the silica and sapphire fiber grating spectrum is simulated and clarified against the grating wavelength for high temperature variations. The temperature sensitivity of sapphire FBG nearly 0.11 pm/0C, where its value is three times higher than silica FBG. It is observed that silica and Sapphire FBG sensors were tested up to 1000 0C by using Gaussian apodization type, side lobes in reflectivity spectrum are totally suppressed.

Abstract

The effective and efficient recognition of speech sounds errors for impaired children is important if a defective phonological process is early detected and corrected. This study deals with the topic of classification of speech sound errors in Arabic impairments children when Arabic letters and numbers are incorrectly pronounced. For 18 standard Arabic isolated numerals and characters, we created an impaired children speech recognition system. We utilized the Mel frequency cepstral coefficients throughout the feature extraction step. then deep long short-term memory network recognition phase. We used the developed model with the developed dataset and the classification accuracy was 97.99% and lose 0.18%, additionally, the results have been compared and yielded extremely intriguing results with previously existing recognition rates models.

Abstract

There given to discuss the study results about one of three deployment scenarios performance (in-band deployment mode) of the narrow-band internet of things (NB-IoT) technology. The study is carrying out with help of simulation modeling and experimental testing of the main network parameters, namely: radio coverage, network capacity, user experience, and their dependencies on each other. Comparison of the results of a physical experiment and simulation modeling shows their high convergence and confirms the adequacy of the applied testing methodology. As a case scenario provided an example of NB-IoT implementation on a 4G mobile network in the 800 MHz band, in a suburban area for remote metering applications. The article presents the applying testing methodology of NB-IoT that adapted to the local conditions of radio network planning. Based on the obtained data, adducing the main conclusions about the feasibility of using an in-band scenario for deploying NB-IoT on a 4G network in a suburban environment.

Abstract

More than eighty-five to ninety percentage of the diabetic patients are affected with diabetic retinopathy (DR) which is an eye disorder that leads to blindness. The computational techniques can support to detect the DR by using the retinal images. However, it is hard to measure the DR with the raw retinal image. This paper proposes an effective method for identification of DR from the retinal images. In this research work, initially the Weiner filter is used for preprocessing the raw retinal image. Then the preprocessed image is segmented using fuzzy c-mean technique. Then from the segmented image, the features are extracted using grey level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM). After extracting the fundus image, the feature selection is performed stochastic gradient descent, and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) for accurate identification during the classification process. Then the inception v3-convolutional neural network (IV3-CNN) model is used in the classification process to classify the image as DR image or non-DR image. By applying the proposed method, the classification performance of IV3-CNN model in identifying DR is studied. Using the proposed method, the DR is identified with the accuracy of about 95%, and the processed retinal image is identified as mild DR.
