Abstract

This study aims to use datasets on Twitter to find out public opinion on the spread of coronavirus in Indonesia by conducting sentiment analysis. The resulting sentiment analysis will benefit the community by helping the Indonesian government take various strategic measures to prevent and counter the spread of the COVID-19. This research was conducted through the data collection stage, namely crawling data tweet words in Bahasa Indonesia containing the meaning of the spread of COVID-19, the next stage of the process of creating labels manually. Next, the pre-process stage by removing the character, symbols and special features from Twitter. The last stage, classification using learning machine with 3(three) methods namely K-nearest neighbor (K-NN), Naïve Bayes and decision tree. The study analyzed sentiment of 1,119 valid Tweets data and found that K-NN algorithm had the highest accuracy value compared to Naïve Bayes and decision tree algorithms, which was 95.10%. However, the Twitter data analyzed obtained 78.19% of Tweets that fall into the negative category and only 13.85% of public opinion that is positive. This indicates that most of the Tweets of Indonesians in twitter do not mean the spread of COVID-19 disease somewhere.

Abstract

Switched reluctance motors (SRM) becomes increasingly popular due to its simple structure and dependability. It seems to have a two-pole configuration. A stator had also centralized coils along each pole, whereas a rotor has an iron core only. As a result, the switched reluctance motor is anticipated to be a low cost, incredibly robust variable-speed machine. Because the switched reluctance motor is only made up of laminated coils, its performance is heavily reliant on the magnetic properties of the core material. Vibration, torque ripple, and low torque for each unit volume are some of their drawbacks. Typically, a standard proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller is designed to regulate the Switched Reluctance Motor's speed. Furthermore, the PID controller could also regulate and control SRM when the load changes abruptly. A fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is utilized within this article to regulate the speed of the SRM drive. The MATLAB/Simulink platform is used to analyze the behavior of SRM with FLC. To demonstrate FLC's superiority, its results have been compared to that of a typical PID controller.

Abstract

The primary goal of this research is to implement a model of biogas power generation unit used for rural electrification. A biogas reactor, a microturbine, a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG), a rectifier, and a permanent magnet DC motor (PMDC) make up the proposed system. The biomass used to fuel the biogas reactor is typically derived from the surplus agricultural and animal waste found in rural areas. The operation of the biogas power system, design, and detailed mathematical modeling of each segment is described in this paper. In addition to that, an adaptive control mechanism is added to improve the system stability. The MATLAB/Simulink environment is used to develop the overall biogas fueled power system and thus obtained various parameters. The observation in the development has shown an improvement in biogas power generation unit’s suitability for standalone applications such as water pumping in rural area.

Abstract

A new approach to ensuring information security is proposed for using in the zone of direct radio visibility. The approach is based on a direct analogy between radio and optical radiation. In the latter case, information protection can be ensured by identifying the point or direction from which the signal comes; all other light sources are cut off by the observer. It is shown that a similar method of information protection can also be implemented in the radio range, which corresponds to modern trends in the development of radio holography. The simplest scheme for detecting the direction to a transmitter, identified as “friend” is presented. Its operability is demonstrated by means of simulation modeling. Ways for the further development of this approach are determined, based on the fact that modern technologies make it possible to implement distributed reception of a radio signal (to use a relatively large number of receivers), which makes it possible to implement direct analogues of such optical elements as a lens, holograms.

Abstract

The traveling salesman problem (TSP) is a problem in computer science that has been extensively studied and has a wide variety of real-world applications. It is considered an NP-hard issue since the only way to get a precise solution to it is to wait an exponentially long amount of time unless P=NP. Both accurate and heuristic algorithms exist to tackle this problem. The Branch-and-Bound algorithm (BnB) is often regarded as the most significant precise approach, despite the fact that it traverses, in the worst scenario, all potential tours in order to calculate the tour efficiently. This study proposed an efficient parallel algorithm to solve TSP by using a cluster multicore system. An exact algorithm will be used to get the optimal solution, and to expedite the search for the best path, we have employed a multi-threaded approach that capitalizes on the processing power of multiple CPU cores to concurrently process sub-problems.

Abstract

Fake news has gained attention in recent years, particularly among social media users. The quick spread of fake news has been made possible by the increased usage of social media as a platform to get the most recent news and information. As a consequence, it is getting harder to distinguish between real news and fake news. This essay will outline a study that evaluated the usefulness of a toolset for identifying false news. The first hypothesis is that an increase in media literacy will result in a rise in awareness of fake news. The second theory is that fake news toolkits significantly increase students’ and working adults’ awareness of false news. On the staff of a manufacturing company and an institution, a survey was undertaken. The organization’s employees were given approximately 150 questionnaires, and 110 responses were received. The project includes the creation of a web application-a false news awareness toolkit-that will raise user awareness of fake news in terms of knowledge, behaviour, and attitude among students and workers.

Abstract

Color name is one of the important features for computer vision. Many existing methods proposed to classify colors into a small number of color names. In this paper, we propose an alternative method with the goal to improve the accuracy for assigning a color name to an object in the given image. We here use the least-squares probabilistic classifiers (LSPC) with the local scaling parameters for solving this task. The benefit of the LSPC is that its solution can be computed analytically so that the obtained solution is global optimum, while the local scaling parameters play an important role to deal with the data including clusters with different local statistics as appeared in the real-world data. To deal with this task, the LSPC is learned to assign a color name to each pixel with the highest of the class-posterior density distribution. Then, the estimations of the class-posterior density distributions are utilized to compute the scores for predicting a color name to the given object. Lastly, the color name with the highest score is chosen as a predicted color name for that object. The experimental results on the eBay data set show the improvements over previously proposedmethods.

Abstract

Due to its inherent geographical potential for wind/solar power and other renewable energy sources (RES) generation, Tamil Nadu is one of the pioneering Indian states in the early development and utilisation of RES. Tamil Nadu accounts for roughly 25% of India's total wind energy capacity. Increased penetration of RES in a power system indicates that RESs have replaced traditional power plants that have historically managed and stabilised the power system, resulting in novel power flow situations. Grid stability must be enhanced in light of the integration of large-scale RES into the grid. The purpose of this research is to analyse and evaluate the impact of large-scale integration of RES by examining mitigating methods from the most recent academic articles and technical reports in this field. This will aid in identifying the key risks affecting the network's stability margin as a result of the widespread integration of RES generation, allowing for a reasonable increase in the network's stability margin. The study's findings will also help to guide the selection of appropriate mitigation strategies. As the stability margin improves, the future fraction of RES additions to the Tamil Nadu extra high voltage (EHV) grid will be increased significantly.

Abstract

Recently, navigation in an unknown environment without hitting obstacles was considered a big challenge faced by researchers. The difficulty in finding a good mathematical model for the different systems is deciding to use artificial intelligent controllers to control the mobile robot movement. In this paper, designing two multi-layer-perceptron neural networks (MLP-NN) was done to control the movement of mobile robots in an unknown environment. The first MLP-NN is to control the linear velocity on the x-axis and angular velocity of the robot’s movement while the other MLP-NN is designed to avoid the static and dynamic obstacles faced by the robot while navigating in an unknown environment. The results show each controller's advantages in performing navigation tasks and avoiding obstacles in different environments.

Abstract

Lightweight cryptographic algorithms must develop to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the data in resource-constrained devices. Keys are vital to every cryptography algorithm because they provide randomness, complexity, unexpected nature, and robustness. A light encryption device (LED) is considered a lighter version of advanced encryption standard (AES), but it is vulnerable to related key attacks due to using the same key during the whole encryption process. This paper presents a hybrid chaotic key generator (HCKG) based on 3D Lorenz, and 2D Henon maps to generate a highly randomized key that combines with the LED to provide a high level of secure encryption on resource-constrained devices. We modified the HCKG every four rounds via simple operations to get the subkeys and XORed it with the state to increase the complexity of the ciphertext. Moreover, the HCKG with subkeys allows us to decrease the total number of LED rounds from 32 to 24 to minimize the calculation cost while maintaining a high level of security. National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) test suite proves that the proposed LED-HCKG demonstrates a high-performance increase by nearly 0.3283 higher than LED concerning data integrity and secrecy.
