Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of population growth, inflation and the provincial minimum wage toward inequality of income distribution in Central Java Province in 1997-2012. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis method using secondary data that is the time series in 1997-2012. The analytical tool used in this study is multiple linear regression, as the dependent variable used is the gini index and the independent variables are population growth, inflation and the provincial minimum wage by testing classical assumption and statistical testing.

Abstract

In the election for the Governor of East Java in 2018, Khofifah Indar Parawansa finally succeeded in becoming the Governor of East Java after losing in two previous East Java election. Khofifah Indar Parawansa's victory this time could not be separated from the influence of the East Java NU Muslimat network, where Khofifah was the chairman of the NU Muslimat organization. The purpose of this study is to see how the involvement of the Muslimat NU network as a civil society organization and to help Khofifah in winning the East Java election in 2018. This research uses qualitative research methods, with the object of research being Muslimat NU. The results of this study indicate that the NU Muslimat Network can be put to good use by Khofifah Indar Parawansa to make him the Governor of East Java in 2018. This can be seen from two aspects, first is that Khofifah Indar Parawansa has a considerable influence in the Muslimat NU organization. Second, the adherence of NU's Muslimat supporters to Khofifah shows her dominance in the organization. With Khofifah's already strong influence and dominance among Muslimat NU, the Muslimat NU network can implement a resource mobilization strategy to ensure Khofifah Indar Parawansa's victory in the gubernatorial election.

Abstract

Rivalry and elite cooperation in Indonesia exist due to the existence of interests between groups of actors that intersect with each other in various aspects. That the elite always tries to create consensus through cooperation on the calculation of profits even though there is rivalry between the elites who intersect. This can be seen from the post-conflict local elections in East Java in 2008, 2013, and 2018. In the 2008 and 2013 East Java regional elections, Soekarwo became Khofifah's rival. However, in the 2018 East Java election, Soekarwo turned to support Khofifah and decided not to support his deputy for two periods, namely Saifullah Yusuf. This study wants to see the factors behind elite rivalry and cooperation, especially in the context of the 2018 East Java Regional Election. This research uses qualitative methods. In addition, this research also uses the theory of antagonistic cooperation, boundary control theory, party-led transition, and integration theory and elite circles. The results of this study show that there is a role for the national elite, in this context the DPP of the Democratic Party and the influence of President Joko Widodo in the transition of Soekarwo's support to Khofifah. In addition, this study also found that there was a relationship of interdependence between Seokarwo and Khofifah. Soekarwo hopes that what he is doing can be continued by Khofifah, while Khofifah depends on the full support of Soekarwo so that he can win in an area that he has never won before.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the influences of e-service quality and perceived value on customer satisfaction. This research is a research with quantitative approach with a sample of 100 respondents who are Bukalapak users that already made purchases through Bukalapak Mobile Application at least 2 times, samples determined using nonprobability purposive sampling technique. Measurement used was questionnaire that was distributed through Google Form to respondents. The analysis data using SPSS 25. The result of this research shows that e-service quality significantly affect customer satisfaction with t value 6,112 > t table 1,98, perceived value significantly affect customer satisfaction with t value 5,310 > t table 1,98, e-service quality and perceived value significantly affect customer satisfaction silmutaneously with f value 86,815 > f  table 3,09.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation and compensation on performance, either partially or collectively. Organizations expect Human Resources to perform well to realize their vision, mission and goals. A person's performance can be maximized if supported by work motivation and by providing appropriate compensation and will perform poorly if work motivation and compensation are not available. The Performance Accountability Report at the Central Tapanuli Regency Office of Industry and Trade shows the low performance achievements over the past five years are the basis of this research. The type of research design carried out is quantitative research with a descriptive approach based on surveys. Sampling techniques through questionnaires and documents with a population of 34 people. Data analysis techniques use multiple models of linear regression equations. The results of the research analysis showed: Work motivation has a significant and positive effect on the performance of employees in the Office of Industry and Trade of Central Tapanuli Regency; Compensation has no significant effect, but is positive to the performance of employees in the Office of Industry and Trade of Central Tapanuli Regency; Work motivation and compensation together have a significant and positive effect on the performance of employees in the Office of Industry and Trade of Central Tapanuli Regency. The variable that affects performance the most is Work Motivation with a Standardized Coefficientsvalue of 0.682.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of leadership and communication styles on employee performance in the District Office of Pandan District, Central Tapanuli Regency. This research is a quantitative research. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is statistical analysis based on SPSS multiple regression. The population in this study were all employees in the District Office of Pandan District, Central Tapanuli Regency with 80 employees. The research sample uses a saturated sample technique in which the entire population is sampled. The results of this study indicate that the leadership and communication styles partially and simultaneously have a significant effect on the performance of employees in the District Office of Pandan District, Central Tapanuli Regency.

Abstract

The success or failure of an organization in carrying out its duties and functions is closely related to organizational actors. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership, job satisfaction and organizational culture on performance, either partially or collectively. Human resources (HR) who perform well will make it easier for the organization to achieve its vision, mission and goals. Low budget absorption can be used as a reference for assessing the low achievement of organizational performance. A person's performance can be optimal, if it supports by good leadership conditions, job satisfaction in carrying out tasks and a good organizational culture. However, if the existing conditions are not good, it can cause low employee performance. The type of research used is quantitative research with a descriptive approach and it uses multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The population chosen is the One Stop Investment Service and Licensing Service with a saturated sample size of 40 respondents. The results of this study indicate that leadership, job satisfaction and organizational culture together have a significant and positive effect on performance. Partially, leadership has a significant and positive effect on performance, job satisfaction has a significant and positive effect on performance, and organizational culture has a significant and positive effect on performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of leadership and motivation on employee performance in The Civil Service Police Unit of Central Tapanuli Regency. This research method is a quantitative research with survey technique methods. The population of this research is 300 employees of the Civil Service Police Unit of Central Tapanuli Regency. The sampling technique used the Slovin formula so that the sample in this study amounted to 171 people from the Civil Service Police Unit of Central Tapanuli Regency. The data analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression equation models. The results of this study indicate that the leadership variable partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and motivation partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance in the Civil Service Police Unit of Central Tapanuli Regency. Leadership and motivation simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

In this study, the limitation of the concepts or research variables used is limited. The employee performance of Social Services in Central Tapanuli Regency in this study is accommodated into components or dimensions that affect employee performance, namely work motivation, leadership, organizational culture, competence and compensation. This study aims to determine which dimensions of the dominant motivational variables affect employee performance of Social Services in Central Tapanuli Regency. The design of this research is a descriptive-explorative approach to examine the dominant factors affecting on employee performance of Social Services in Central Tapanuli Regency. The data analysis technique uses factor analysis. The validity test uses the Corelation Product Moment formula while the reliability test uses the Cronbach method (Alpha/Reablity Analysis). There are 3 (three) dominant factors that influence employee performance of the Social Service in Central Tapanuli Regency. The main dominant factors in the competency dimension are skills and knowledge (46.47%). The manivest variable of the compensation dimension, after being reduced / extracted, also forms 3 (three) components / dominant factors, on the weight of the factor of the compensation dimension, allowance has the greatest weight, namely 24.47.%. In the dimension of work motivation factor, it is known that the factor that gives a big or dominant contribution to the improvement on employee performance of Social Services in Central Tapanuli Regency is the need for achievement (49.30%). employees of the Social Services in Central Tapanuli Regency are the implementation of leadership functions (50.47%).

Abstract

Rural and Urban Land and Building (PBB-P2) Tax revenue always decreases every year, this result in obstruction of the development process, it is considered very necessary to be analyzed to find out what causes the decreases in the level of public compliance in paying PBB tax. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of understanding, attitudes and awareness of taxpayers partially and together to influence compliance in paying the Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) in Pandan District, Central Tapanuli Regency. The population is taxpayer in Pandan District amount 11.192 taxpayers. The sample in this study amounted to 99 taxpayers. Methods of data collection through questionnaires, interviews, and study documentation. Data analysis technique used aredescriptive statistics and multiple linear regression. The results showed that (1) the understanding variable is positive effect and significant to the compliance of taxpayers paying Land and Building Taxes for Rural and Office Buildings (PBB-P2) in Pandan District, (2) attitude variable is positive effect and significant to the compliance of taxpayers paying Land and Building Taxes for Rural and Office Buildings (PBB-P2) in Pandan District, (3)awareness variable is positive effect and significant to the compliance of taxpayers paying Land and Building Taxes for Rural and Office Buildings (PBB-P2) in Pandan District, (4) variables of understanding, attitudes and awareness of taxpayers together have a positive and significant effect on the tax compliance variable paying tax on Land and Building Taxes in Rural and Office Buildings (PBB-P2) in Pandan District. The test results of the coefficient of determination (R2) that the variable of understanding, attitude and awareness of taxpayers is able to explain the taxpayers' compliance to pay Land and Building Taxes for Rural and Office Buildings (PBB-P2) in Pandan Distric by 53.6 %. While the remaining 46.4% is explained by other factors not examined in this study.
