Abstract

In an image there is an image that has a highlight and shadow. The shadow that is produced from an object is highlighted by the emitted light. In this case the picture shows an object that looks faint and looks not visible at all. In overcoming this, try to increase the highlights and shadows on the image. With the process of counting and being able to count objects with reflected, transmitted, or subjective light colors. To overcome this, input values ​​of red / green / blue and balanced lighting are needed for each pixel. By using the multiscale retinex method with the help of reflectance and illumination of the image in an increase in highlights and shadows. The results that can be done in this process produce a new image that has been improved from the previous image. Applications used in Enhancing highlights and shadows use the matlab application.

Abstract

Segmentation is an important process in image processing which aims to split an image into several segments with certain criteria. Image segmentation is the separation of one object with other objects in an image or between objects with a background contained in an image. With this segmentation process, each object in the image can be taken individually so that it can be used as input. The purpose of image segmentation is to separate the object area from other regions based on similarity of image attributes so that it is easy to analyze in order to recognize objects for a purpose. This type of operation is closely related to pattern recognition. In general, the segmentation process is divided into three parts based on classification, by edge and by region. The segmentation process in digital images is done with edge detection to provide a target path along the edge (edge) of the image object. The algorithm used is the otsu thresholding algorithm and the region growing algorithm where the otsu thresholding algorithm can divide the gray image histogram into two different regions automatically. While the region growing algorithm is a procedure in which a set of pixels or subregions to a larger region is based on defined criteria.

Abstract

Guava Honey is a fruit that can be consumed and has a wide market share. The similarity in texture of honey guava skin color between ripe and immature results in difficulty in identifying ripe honey guava in terms of fruit skin texture characteristics and subjective human assessments of the maturity level of Honey guava fruit causing the assessment of the maturity level of Guava Honey to differ from one with others. From these problems, so that research was carried out to identify the maturity of Guava Honey based on the texture of the fruit skin color. The purpose of this study was to apply the statistical feature extraction method with characteristic parameters, namely Mean (μ), Variance (σ2), Skewness (α3), Kurtosis (α4) and Entropy (H) as a method to recognize the ripeness of honey guava in terms of fruit skin texture. and to find out the accuracy value after the system is tested. The subject of the research was to build an application to identify the ripeness of honey guava to statistically detect the ripe fruit of the ripe honey guava in terms of the texture of the fruit skin. Based on this research, the authors designed an Android-based application of guava honey maturity identification using Eclipse Juno and Sqlite. To simplify the identification process in the application, the writer applies the Statistical Feature Extraction Method and the expected results in this study are an application that applies the Statistical Feature Extraction Method.

Abstract

The computer-based Final Semester Examination (UAS) held at the Dwiwarna Private Vocational School in Medan was carried out with the help of a web-based application. The application display is divided into two parts, namely the web client accessed by students and the web admin accessed by administrators who have authority. Exam questions are an important aspect of assessing student ability. The problem that occurs is that the record of exam questions stored in the exam database by the admin is very vulnerable to access and can be read by students in the admin menu when inputting questions. This happens because there is no safety record database of questions in the exam web application. Therefore we need a cryptographic security technique. Cryptographic techniques can secure the record of questions by randomizing the value of the incoming question character into a value that is not understood. This research will encrypt the computerized exam database question records with the Word Auto Key Encryption (WAKE) algorithm when the admin enters the questions in the admin web. While the decryption process using the WAKE algorithm is carried out by the application system when the web client is accessed by students by logging in and pressing the start test button

E-Government, namely the use of information and communication technology, for various purposes in order to implement effective and efficient government administration and operational activities in office activities. The first problem experienced includes the process of managing incoming mail data and outgoing mail data, which are still scheduled in the letter agenda book and important documents are still stored in the odner and are not managed by the system so that if there is a loss or computer error one day, all data will be lost and need more space and costs to manage documents. The second problem is that service activities in the form of requests for weather and climate data are still not integrated and without applications so that service users need less efficient time and energy because they do not know or lack the requirements to get the required climate weather information. Seeing the obstacles encountered. Therefore, the system that will be created by researchers is a web-based information system that functions as a data processing medium, both incoming and outgoing mail data and data on transaction letters requesting weather and climate data.
