Abstract

Poets always glorify and praise the homeland. The homeland is an absolutely crucial matter among Saudi poets, Arab poets, and, I can say, among every thoughtful human being. Several Saudi poets dealt with the same issue, presenting us with gorgeous lyrical poetic pieces praising their homeland, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Through the poem "My Homeland (وطني)" by Taher Zamakhshari, the study intends to underline the poet's capability, awareness, and proficiency while similarly proving the poet’s sentiment and loyalty for the glorious homeland. It attempts to make a tangible effort to value, assess, and appraise the poet's faculty and aptitude through drawing on poetic metaphors, pictures, and symbols in his poem understudy. The analysis commences with a short introduction to poetry and its significance, followed by a glance at Saudi Poetry: The Beating Heart of All Genres of Literature, and then another glance at the career of the Saudi poet Taher Zamakhshari. The chief issue of the research is the critical-analytical-descriptive approach to the poem "My Homeland." The paper employs such a technique, paying great attention to the conception of homeland since it is the primary theme. The paper, after that, ends with a discussion and a conclusion.

Abstract

This study explores the profound role of Mandok Hata, a traditional Batak Toba oral custom, as socio-cultural capital in fostering holistic educational development within the Batak Toba society. Moving beyond conventional formal learning paradigms, this research posits that Mandok Hata serves as a crucial indigenous pedagogical tool, transmitting values, ethics, historical knowledge, and social norms across generations. Through an ethnographic approach, this study investigates how the practice of Mandok Hata cultivates essential life skills, critical thinking, and a strong sense of community identity among Batak Toba youth, thereby complementing and enriching formal education. Findings reveal that the intricate layers of symbolism, rhetoric, and performativity inherent in Mandok Hata contribute significantly to the development of communicative competence, emotional intelligence, and cultural resilience. This research argues for the recognition and integration of such local wisdom practices into contemporary educational frameworks to achieve a more culturally relevant and holistic educational development that honors indigenous heritage while preparing individuals for modern challenges. Keywords: Mandok Hata, Local Wisdom, Batak Toba, Holistic Education

Abstract

This article investigates how Generation Z Muslims view Christians, with the aim of preventing religious conflict in Indonesia's diverse society. Generation Z, who live in a digital and multicultural era, have broad access to information and religious social interactions that influence their views on diversity. This article uses a qualitative approach and in-depth interviews, and reveals that most Generation Z Muslims show positive attitudes towards Christians, as seen in the values of brotherhood, tolerance, and religious moderation. Christians are seen as an equal segment of Indonesian society, who uphold human values and do not interfere with the religious practices of Muslims. These values, which are rooted in Islamic teachings such as Surah Al-Kafirun verse 6, play an important role in preventing religious conflict. Generation Z Muslims have significant potential to act as agents of peace and promote inclusive community development. Therefore, interfaith education and the strengthening of multicultural values in higher education need to be improved.

Abstract

Abstact: This article examines the legal validity of online transactions and the allocation of risks related to defective products on the Shopee marketplace from a normative juridical perspective. Using the framework of Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, the study analyzes the extent to which electronic transactions meet legal requirements and how consumer rights are guaranteed when goods received are damaged or do not conform to the order. The research highlights the responsibilities of business actors, the legal position of consumers, and the mechanisms available for dispute resolution within the platform. The findings show that although Shopee provides internal complaint and refund features, the substantive protection of consumers still relies heavily on the provisions of national consumer law, particularly regarding liability, misleading information, and the obligation to provide goods in accordance with agreed specifications. This article concludes that strengthening legal certainty and enforcement mechanisms is essential to ensure fair and accountable e-commerce practices in Indonesia. Keywords: Legal regulations, Consumer Protection, Sales and Purchase Agreement, Shopee, Defective Products.
