Abstract

It is an interesting thing to explore globalization as an era of trade growth between nations and a massive single economic system that is universal today. The single system is called neo-liberalism, which is a system that promotes increasing profits by the way of the free market. This system is expected to eliminate economic disparities between continents, nations, races, ethnics and languages  inshared prosperity. The negative effects of globalization and neo-liberalism are not local or regional issues, on the other hand, globalization and neo-liberalism 'monster' that are ready to exterminate anyone who gets in his desire. Nevertheless, the analysis of class conflict for today is increasingly unclear; however, the class war is shifted increasingly wider into State class. This is the urgency of the studies in this paper tries to analyse globalization, neo-liberalism and the threat of dehumanization of human life in this modem era.

Abstract

Kalam, in general, could be stated as a study that focused to examine the central theological doctrines. By studying Kalam, it will give someone convictions based on solid arguments, not easily distracting by the change of time. Theological metaphysics is one of subject matter in Kalam. Metaphysics in Kalam supposed a certain level of understanding towards "God"; that assumed "God" could be understood. The equivocal term such as "being" (wujud) will obscure the understanding to that "being" should be translated to "existence"  (mawjud), as consequence  therefore "God" become "the permanent" (al-tsabit). Inrelation to Kalam, religious experience has a function as a spiritualvision benefactor in Kalam understanding. Profound appreciationthrough heart (dzauq and wijdan) to study of tauhid or Kalam make this study more appreciate and applicate in attitude. For that reason, religious experience is the perfection of study of tauhid from the perspective of religious experience; it is spiritual application from study oftauhid. This writing analyse the theological metaphysics by religious experience that is lack of attention according to the writer.

Abstract

Discussion and research on media as a discourse could not be separated from the connection between the language that used in it, the knowledge that underlying, as well as other forms of interests and power that operating behind the language. That means, the conversation about media inevitably cannot be separated from the ideology that formed it, which is finally affects the language (style, expression, vocabulary, signs) that used and the knowledge (justice, truth, reality) that generated it. We are aware the discussion of media and communication order cannot be separated from the interests behind the media, especially the interests of the information that conveyed. Eviction ofprivacy in communication practices indeed became serious problem because it involves self-esteem, which ultimately creates many prolonged polemic. Privacy as a right or a right to control unwanted publicity, become someone's personal affairs personal because our problem has occurred mistakenly believe that a public figureby itself does not have privacy inthe public. For this reason, this research is conducted, namely the attempt to try to analyse the privacy and moral value in media that eligible to be criticized.

Abstract

The use of the term metaphysics has evolved since long to refer to things that are beyond the physical world. In everyday life, consciously or not human beings are always talking about things that smell metaphysics (trust). Humans understand the universe was created by God, but often people question how the form of God, in addition to the presence of a ghost or genie. It shows the relationship between humans and metaphysics. In this regard Imam al-Ghazali have different views in addressing the human metaphysics. Imam al-Ghazali considers humans have essentially fixed identity, as an-nafs (the soul). This paper would like to explain about the views of Imam al-Ghazali as a philosopherthe concept ofhuman metaphysics. In metaphysics Imam al-Ghazali, he based his views to the soul. The conclusion is that Imam al-Ghazali uses four terms in human metaphysics, as al-Nafs, al-Qulb, al-Ruhandal- 'Aqlused inphilosophical terms.

Abstract

Wayangas high culture that rich of symbols contains a lot of values that could be a guide and direction to common people in Indonesia. Lakon Semar Mbangun Kahyangan is one of lakoncarangan  that shows moral values to its audiences. Through theory of value from Max Scheler, lakon Semar Mbangun Kahyangan gets its value's meaningnot from its symbols, but from its phenomena that arisen. Max Scheler believes that symbol indeed hides its true meaning, therefore the meaning will be found by inspect to the existence of its reality. Arjuna, Sri Kresna, and Bathara Guru in reality could do badness. This is, of course, contradict with meaning of the symbols that contained in it, i.e. goodness. Therefore, the value meaning in wayang could not only be done by look as symbolic, however to inspect from the existence of its reality. As a result, the meaning will be revealed, even the value agents are changed, that will not change the goodness meaning that contained in the value agent.

Abstract

In Javanese literature, Serat Centhini is an extraordinary work, in the term of quantities of its pages and the varieties of its content. Serat Centhini was written from January 1814 to 1823, by a team lead by Adipati Anom Amengkunagara III, Crown Prince of Surakarta Kingdom that crowned as Sunan Paku Buwana V (1820-1823) afterwards with the members such as:1) Kiai Ngabehi Ranggasutrasno, 2) Kiai Ngabehi Yasadipura II, and 3) Kiai Sastradipura. The thickness of its manuscript is around 4200 folio pages (12 editions). The content of its text is varied; include all ngelmu and kawruh that exist in Java Island. As a suluk literature, Serat Centhini also has an Islamic soul and contains Tasawwuf or Islamic Mysticism thoughts that already blend with Javanese Mysticism, for example an explanation of Javanese "religion" that purpose is to achieve "life perfection", i.e. the unity between slave and Master (manunggaling kawula-Gusti). Explanation and secret lessons are in the dialogue between Seh Amongraga, as a Javanese Mystic chief and other personalities in that book. Seh Amongraga, a.k.a Jayengresmi, is the elder of three sons of Sunan Giri. He has talent and potency towards a mystical life and practices, shown by its qualities and characters, the stages of his life, his sermons about the four ways towards God, Martabat  Tujuh, and manunggaling kawula-Gusti. In the later stage ofhis life, Seh Amonraga is more noticeable to become a Javanese Mystic practitioner that teach the science of perfection, heterodox mysticism, that finally sentence to death by Sultan Agung, therefore could be seen as an inheritance of Syeh Siti Jenar tradition

Abstract

Sophism is always connectedwith rethoric that give high value towards language's "effectiveness". Sharp consciousness to language's functions becomes a particular critic to ontological way of thinking that structuring language to the existence of something that being expressed. Sophism believes to the effectiveness oflanguage even could create an "existence" of something that according to common understanding "not exists". Therefore, Sophia is always contradicting to sophos.

Abstract

The discussions and discourses about women leadership are never ending to be observed, both in common people as well as in the elites. There is a view that woman could be a leader with argument that woman leadership is possible as long as for the goodnessofpeople. Islamic thought recognizesmen's and women's "equality",Women have the same role as men in their leadership and actively encourage in that leadership. In other side, the refusal towards women's leadership also came from religious understanding. Women are supposed to be the guard of tradition and their responsibility is to preserve common believes to the next generation. Women are persuaded to stay at home, stay away from the public space. They criticize the women role outside of the domestic space. Women's carrier creates social disturbance. In their view, the women who work in public sector created unemployment among men because they should compete with women in work's market. The extreme view said that it is haram (forbidden) for women to become a public leader. This writing tries to explain Islamic view toward the women leadership.

Abstract

Poverty is the real phenomena within Indonesian Muslim communities. In order to be actual, Islamic Theology  should give the answer to this real problem within ummah i.e. the problem of poverty. The question is could the theology to answer the problem of poverty? This research tries to reflect to Criticism developed by Immanuel Kant. By its criticism Kant successfully answer the question whether the metaphysics  as a science  is possible? However finally Kant tends to reject the validity of the metaphysics as a science, he still accepts the principle of synthesis a priori as a mode of science. In order to make Islamic Theology discourses could answer the problem of poverty, the Islamic Theology should learn from Kant criticism project. The Islamic Theology should move from a priory approach to synthetic a priory approach. Because without the support of historical-empirical approach in the social sciences, the a priori-ahistoris character of lslamic Theology toward social facts will never able to answer the problem ofpoverty within Indonesian Muslim communities.
