Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the extent to which the application of accounting principles is carried out by MSMEs in Tanjungsari District, to find out the perceptions of MSMEs in Tanjungsari District towards accounting, and the factors that cause low accounting for MSMEs in Tanjungsari, Sumedang Regency. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach. Place of research is determined by using purposive sampling. Sources of data used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, documentation, and data triangulation. The results of the study show that the implementation of accounting principles in MSMEs is still not optimal. Even though basic accounting principles such as recording, classifying and disclosing financial transactions are carried out, there are still deficiencies in the application of these principles. This is influenced by the perception that accounting is complicated, troublesome, and not too important. The perceptions of MSME actors arise due to several factors, including educational background, age, unavailability of workers with accounting skills, while production and marketing are top priorities in business. The efforts to apply accounting principles to MSMEs in Tanjungsari District, Sumedang Regency can be carried out by conducting training and education, using accounting system applications, procuring accounting experts, partnerships with financial institutions and using financial consulting services.

Abstract

Ambon is a city hit by religious conflict many years ago (1999-2004). Although it has now been declared safe and conducive, it appears that the conflict is still felt, especially in community living spaces that have been patterned in accordance with their religious beliefs until now. Therefore, it affects the existence of the urban space (public space), which causes a decreased quality of the city environment. In the end, the segregation in the living area decreased the quality of urban space significantly. Urban space should be a public space used by the community as part of the public was not achieved well. Revitalizing urban space by focusing on the design is presented as a mediator between the two parties separated in this living space. Using the concept of shared space is expected to be able to restore the harmony of urban space, which can be mediation with the aim of uniting ethnic and religious diversity in the public space in the city of Ambon. The concept of shared space will bring back integrity and balance as well as the 'sense of place' in the downtown area, especially public space, and returns the identity of Ambon in the post-conflict period in order to become a space of togetherness among communities based on local wisdom, the bond of Pela-Gandong.

Abstract

The bureaucratic reform strategy is an effort and step to strengthen the function of local government and to respond to challenges in the globalization era. Bureaucratic reform not only simplifies the bureaucratic structure but changes the mindset and work culture in the bureaucracy, especially in the administrative management of local governments. Regions that are successful with bureaucratic reform usually have regional heads with strong political commitment, adequate knowledge and competence in bureaucratic reform, as well as experience. The main objective of this study is to analyze the role of bureaucratic reform in strengthening local government functions. This research will use a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Research results show that challenges such as overlapping regulations, lack of budget, lack of political awareness, and low knowledge of local government functions can hinder the performance and effectiveness of local governments in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. Forms of bureaucratic reform that can be carried out include simplification and harmonization of regulations, increasing local revenue, improving the quality of bureaucratic human resources, and strengthening community participation.

Abstract

Swallow's nest is a very popular health product nowadays. This can happen due to swallow's nest has many health benefits such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiaging, anticancer, immune-boosting and accelerating wound healing. However, the production of swallow's nest is difficult to do so that the product of swallow's nest becomes expensive. This study aims to analyze the costs and benefits required to produce swallow nests. The method used is the C5.0 algorithm which uses a decision tree. The results showed that the root node was obtained, namely the drying stage of the swallow's nest. If the costs required at this stage were equivalent to the existing capital, the company would get benefit. Conversely, if the required cost exceeds the existing capital, the company will experience a loss. Through the decision tree, it can be determined that the determinant or root node of the swallow's nest production process is the stage of the swallow's nest drying process. If the capital is within the budget (budget) then the company will generate profits. Meanwhile, if the existing capital is insufficient (pass) then the company will suffer losses. Based on the results of this study, it can be suggested to use the C5.0 algorithm method in analyzing the costs and profits generated from a production process that produces finished products for sale.
