Abstract

Along with the increasing demand for electricity use in Indonesia, especially north Sumatra, PT. PLN (PERSERO) built a coal-fired steam power plant. With the existence of this steam power plant, it can help the country's electricity supply, especially in Sumatra. As is known that steam power plants are plants that have a high potential for equipment damage, especially the Balance of Plant (BOP) area. Therefore, a team is formed that can overcome and identify equipment damage with certain tools, called the Predictive Maintenance team. Predictive Maintenance (PdM) techniques are designed specifically to help determine the condition of equipment assets used as a reference for predictions for when asset maintenance activities should be carried out. Predictive Maintenance (PdM) is a form of maintenance that directly monitors the condition and performance of equipment during normal operation to reduce damage or failures in the future. The main tools used for Predictive Maintenance are Vibration Meter and Infrared Thermography. And the equipment has standards or limits resulting from trending measurement data and also has international standards as a reference. There was damage to one of the Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment, which is Demineralized (DM) Pump that causes the supply of demineralized water to the unit to be reduced and the unit load cannot be increased to maximum. With predictive maintenance (PdM) analysis, it can be quickly identified that the damage was in the drive end (DE) motor bearing of the demineralized equipment (DM) pump. Replacement of bearing on the Demineralized motor (DM) can maximize the performance of the unit so as to make an electrical energy saving of 1,095,360 kWh. In addition, it also has financial benefits of Rp. 681,781,917,-

Abstract

Automatic system is a process to control the operation of an a tool that can automatically replace the role of humans. One of the industries that is also experiencing rapid progress is in the field of parking (Smart Parking) for vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles. The current parking system still uses a lot of conventional parking systems that only utilize parking lots and parking attendants who control each incoming vehicle and also often do not pay attention to the capacity of the parking lot owned by a building. The research describes a design to build a parking prototype to make it easier for drivers to find empty parking slots. The tool that will be built will start when the car enters the parking area and is detected by the TCRT-5000 sensor, then the servo opens the gate at the command of the Arduino and the driver looks for an empty parking lot. The driver can see the empty parking slots through the parking application that is connected to the database through the Esp 8266 NodeMcu. The LCD will issue an output in the form of letters and numbers.

Abstract

Many people are shopping in supermarkets so that baskets and trolleys are usually provided to carry groceries, resulting in frequent cases such as missing or confused baskets. As a result of these problems, a new method is needed in dealing with the problem of swapping shopping cart trolleys. This study describes information about automatic customer follower trolley robots based on image processing and microcontrollers. The design of this control system uses an Arduino Pro Mini Microcontroller which is connected to GPS, Ultrasonic sensors, ESP 8266, and DC motors. Ultrasonic Sensors, The author's purpose is to make research on this trolley robot to make it easier and more comfortable for supermarket customers to shop and carry their groceries, where the trolley is made to be able to follow the user's movements without the need to push it so that customers just have to choose the items they buy and customers can walk in front of their shopping trolleys. The additional devices needed to move the trolley automatically include cameras, microcontrollers, DC motors, servo motors, motor drivers, and batteries mounted on the trolley. Image processing uses a camera on a system that is made to work by detecting the color of the object that has been determined to determine the distance of the object from the trolley. The method used to process image processing is a hue-based color filtering algorithm. So that in its use the trolley is able to move automatically following the customer. The final result of this automatic follower trolley design is a success rate of 80% with the maximum distance between the object and the trolley is 5.65m.

Abstract

PT PLN (Persero) has several ULP throughout Indonesia with a loss of 4-7%. Factors that cause shrinkage include the loss of electrical energy due to an imbalance in the use of electrical loads that are not balanced in each phase. The loss reduction program to overcome these problems, one of which uses the MPR method of load balancing (Reducing Technical Loss from House Connections) in New Installs, with more customers and increasing kWH sales growth, very important in controlling losses from balancing the transformer load. The results of the analysis of 10 samples of 20 kV Distribution Transformers in Feeders showed a decrease in transformer load imbalance >30% which previously amounted to 3 transformers to 1 transformer and a decrease or saving of 18.612 kWh at peak load.

Abstract

Steganography is an art and study of invisible communication from confidential data on a multimedia carrier such as image, audio and video files. The most popular steganography method is the LSB (Least Significant Bit) method. However, the LSB method is very vulnerable to attack using basic image processing operations. In 2013, Jassim applied the Five Modulus method in the steganography process. The Five Modulus method will solve a digital image into a set of image subblocks called n x n sizes. Secret messages will be inserted in the window. According to Jassim, the smaller the window size, the more secret messages can be inserted into the image. The resulting steganography software can hide confidential data into a digital image. Secret data stored in the stego image can be extracted out in the extraction process
